I wouldn't think that area is a high crime area as far as ghetto trash and the like. Probably more of the neighbor vs neighbor BS that happens in all the other nice areas around town. Evan

Anybody ever live in the southern ohio/Chillicothe area??
Tractor replied to CJINOHIO03's topic in Dumpster
Well there aren't 1000 assholes all around you at any given time on the roads and in stores. Other than that southern ohio sucks for jobs or doing much of anything other than enjoying not having all those people I mentioned. At least you get the outdoors and all the rest of the same old stuff you'd be doing in the city. Really if you got a good job down there go for it. I'd move back in a second if someone would match my pay. I lived near Marietta for reference. I'd imagine Chilicothe or anywhere else near there would be even more lame yet peaceful. Evan -
Definately don't go to the wayne without a sticker. We're trying to be on the good side as much as possible to help get them to expand the trail systems. If you wanna run trucks try http://www.paintedrockohv.com/ for a place around 1.5 hours from columbus. Its $10 for a day pass. I haven't been there yet, but a bunch of the guys from my club have and it sounds like a good time. If anyone wants to make a day to go there give me a yell. My trucks running and ready to get broken again. Also anyone interested in my clubs novice ride its going to be pre registration only this year and limited to around 40 4x4's. We had over 100 last spring and that was simply to many to be safe. Its also going to be geared for the true novices with us doing recovery demos and stuff. Definately no extreme trails, but if its at all wet it will definatly feel extreme in a stock vehicle. Evan

Wow I loved that. Thanks, you win. Evan

Nice, the wife and I go on winter cruises to the bahamas. Much nicer than January in Ohio. I'd love to sail there on a small boat though. That would truely be a vacation to me except my wife would probably hate it. Evan

Ah cool. Do you know if that will work on the older externally balanced 350's? Evan

I'd do the arm thing, but its not really an option. Besides the last thing I want to do on a trail ride is mess around in the engine bay any more than I have to. Its always covered in mud and dangerously slippery. I wonder if I could change everything over to the serpentine belt design in some ghetto way? I've seen kits, but this truck ain't something I spend money on. Its more fun to rig stuff up to work cheaply and poke fun at the guys who spend money and still have there shit break. Evan

I've been doing some upgrading on my offroad trucks charging system. I replaced my stock GM 70 alt with one of the 140amp newer style GM alternators. I need to run a 2nd belt from the main alternator down to a 2nd alternator that I modded to run as a 110volt generator/welder. I don't really want to go to all the trouble to design and build a belt tensioner and all that and the weldernator doesn't need to spin unless I'm using it so I'd have a quick and simple method of putting a belt on it. I'm thinking if I could get a supply of heavy duty rubberbands I could just pop one on when needed. Other thoughts are a chain with a quick disconnect for one of the gears for removal. The main alternator is powered by a v-belt running from the crank pulley, around the water pump and alternator. A bigger belt wouldn't allow for enough tension on the big alternator or I'd just do that and leave it like I had it. I'm probably going to run the 2nd alt off a double pulley on the main alt (to make what I"m planning more clear.) Any ideas or places I could get something neat like that? I think I've even seen some type of emergency belts for cars at some point. Evan

Yeah heat could be the problem, but I"m sticking with a program (ie spyware) conflicting with things and screwing it up. So much of that crap going around these days it makes me glad I don't fix computers anymore unless its family, my own hobby, or whatever. Evan
-
It almost sounds like you have a program running in the background that is screwing things up. It could be spyware or a virus and you should be running a program to detect things like that a couple times a month just to keep your system running in good order. If its not that then its gonna be harder to track down. Evan

My dad was in the one done at WNF marietta. Need any info? try http://www.ohiotrails.org also. Evan

I'm considering a hummer H1. Replacement for my current trail truck. I like the idea of all the room for gadgets, but I guess I could get that space in something cheaper though not as cool. Evan

yeah those vacuum modulators can make quite a difference in the old th350/400 transmissions. Reminds me I need to make an adjustment on mine. Shifts way to soon on the road turning the 38's. Evan

Okay so we know you guys hate bush and republicans, but few of you have answered and question in the original post. What if a plot with tons of evidence including bombs, explosives etc etc was found in say Boston, NYC and LA. Would that be enough justification for you to be behind the President in his views on the War on Terror and the need to spends billions on homeland security? If that isnt enough for you, would another 9/11 like attack be enough? I am just trying to figure out what the line is for certain people for my own curosity. Evan

Ohio talking E-check will your car pass????
Tractor replied to MaverickGrabber1972's topic in Passing Lane
If it ever happens which I don't really think would happen I get to switch over to propane like the 4x4's in cali do. Before I go to that trouble though I'll see about making it magically becomming a `76 chevy truck. Hell its 98% chevy already. Evan -
haha no clue I don't watch many movies, to busy at the computer which would be the reason I like a nice chair. Evan

I'm thinking of replacing my Mk3 supra seat computer chair with something much more dorky for lack of better words. I'm gonna go nuts and integrate my keyboard, mouse, other random controls I might think up and probably make the control console modular so I can swap it out for different configuration depending on the game or current need. Anyone ever see any links to forums or any other sites were people do this? I'd like some ideas. My own searches have so far come up negative and I'll probably end up just winging it. Evan

Haha the old ass house I just sold the bill was only 80 tops and the ac unit was easily 25 years old as well. We ran it at like 74 during the day and 70 at night. I don't think I've ever heard of an electric bill being in the $300+ range. Your house to big or do you do alot of welding too:-) Evan

Get Grange and forget about it. They have always provided the best service possible when I've needed to use them. Evan

Oh wow. I wonder if I could set up a razer shop near by. Evan

http://www.jadeintegration.com/jackpc.php Looks interesting and kinda what I was looking for to get a computer in a few oddball places around the house. Evan

I've seen HDMI wall plates, but most of the videophiles are using cat5 with RJ45 to HDMI patch cables. Most make there own. Try AVSFORUM.COM for more ideas. I'm in the middle of my home wiring this weekend and am running a couple RG6 and cat5 drops per room with a few more in the main areas. Evan

If you cats manage to kill the coon you should breed more of them. Coons bigger and wilder than most domestic cats. Cats love to hunt and they are bringing you back presents. I can wait to get moved into my house so I can get some cats just for that reason. I love watching them eat entire rabbits. Its really funny when they are laying out in the yard trying to cough up the feet and hair. On a different note, My neighbor used to raise coons and one day he was walking down the road with the momma on his back hanging around his neck and another neighbor drove by and honked at him. Wow he was a bloody mess by the time he got the coon off his back. His back looked like someone took a rake to him. Evan

Yeah that block is more what I had in mind. I'd have to buy several of Levitons big ones just to have the expandability I am building into the walls and that would get stupid expensive. Does Lobe sell everything one would need for multimedia setups like this? Evan

I'm building a house this summer and am installing the wiring for the voice/data/sat vid stuff this week. I got no problems running the drops, but am going to need a structured wiring cabinet in my basement at some point. Anyone know a good place to get all the stuff I need? I've looked at a few websites I found real quick that sell Leviton and Greyfox, but I can't find much in the way of modules for either of these products. The preconfigured ones they sell are completely inadequate for the size project I'm looking for and the DO-IT-YOURSELF custom stuff that the sites sell are just a few here and there and not the full catalog. Any ideas? Evan
