My wife and I are building with Wayne Homes right now. The sales people are what we wanted to see and the standard specs are 110% better than the others we looked at. They have models at I-71 and SR 37, and SR 37 and SR 40 down by National Trails. They also have all there homes under construction open for viewing. They build on your lot or on land that they can provide you all over central ohio. We didn't even consider Dominion or M/I. We've heard way to many complaints, don't like the idea of a sub division and home owners association, and they are both being investigated for mortgage fraud. My wife also gets to see what happens to people who get talked into their great mortgage deals since she's a manager at 5/3 bank. Be careful and just make sure you know what you sign up for and don't let them give you any crap. Just ask on here and lots of us can help with advice. If you need to you could even contact a realtor to help you with the fine print. Our realtor refered us to Wayne homes and he gets a % of the sale and has helped alot with our decisions. Evan

Not sure what decade it was, but I loved Duck Tales. I gotta get the set someday. Now to go for a dip in my money bin. Rescue Rangers was great and so was Tail Spin. Evan

I like how everyone that opposes the bush admin claim that he lied about there being WMD's in iraq or whatever the lies are supposed to be. Funny that no one remembers the 13 years after the first gulf war. Saddam seemed to try pretty hard to defy the UN and in the last 5 years or so of that time he kept letting the weapons inspectors get pretty close to things and then would decide to kick them out of the country. Almost teasing us all. All the major world powers agreed that saddam had weapons or at least would have bet on it and that was the intelligence that the US used to decide to go into Iraq. Who knows if the intelligence was true. The point is if it was false it had many more world leaders than just President Bush fooled at the time. Please try to remember the news from back then and all the reports back and forth about saddam kicking out inspectors before making unproven claims that bush lied. Thats just liberal crap and not worthy of real debate. Evan

Funny? Hell no I really do want it. I'm gonna have to pay to have one put in my yard so I can play with my trail truck on it anyway. Anyone care to guess how much it weighs? Evan

You can get a permit to camp at ohio power (now called the AEP recreation land) from the ODNR website. If you don't have it on you and the DNR guys show up your not gonna be happy. There is no fee to get the permit just print and fill it out and follow the instructions. There is also no turn around time to get it approved. They just want a record of who uses their lands. Its 200,000+ acres of camping, fishing, and hunting. They also have some of the darkest skys in Ohio. The columbus astronomical society has a special use site there for observing the skys. The AEP lands are actually spread out from about SR 60 between Zanesville and McConnelsville and go primarily along SR 78 all the way to I-77 under Cambridge. Evan

I'd try banging it on a table before spending any money. That works most of the time for me. I actually have a drive in my computer right now that I hit every once in awhile when I want to get some data from it. Makes the same type of noise when its acting up and then you can hear it spin up. This is no joke I'm as much a computer tech as anyone else. Evan

the swampers got the load range just don't really need them on that truck and they won't last nearly as long. I'll probably call you guys tomorrow. I"m pretty dumb about remembering stuff though. Evan

I'll especially help out any commissioned sales guys on here. I need 4 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. 265/70R16's load range D. I'm not looking for discounts and can buy them right across the street from my apartment, but figured I'd see if anyone on here was interested in the sale first. Evan

My parents have always had grange and I've had grange myself from the time I first started driving without any complaints and they hook me up really good anytime I have a need to use a claim. Evan

One of the best stock search resources is yahoo finance. You could actually just search for the company names to see if you can find any stock symbols. Its possible that if they didn't go under over the last 90 years they could have been bought up by larger companies. In that case your shares could possibly be converted into the acquring companies own stock. If thats true and if he still has a legal claim to them its possible they could be worth a hell of a lot of money. If you find out what happened to the companies over time and find that there is a current company around the next step would be to figure the values and get a lawyer to see if you have any legal claim to them still. Its possible that an attempt was made years ago to contact the owner of the stocks and if no response was recieved within a stated amount of time they company would basically put the money into an account and probably eventually it was released into the companies funds. Who knows. If you want more help I'm an amature stock trader, history buff, and this is very interesting to me for some reason. I'll probably do a little searching on some of them. PM me and I could probably think of some more stuff and forums that might help out. Evan

My wifes a manager at 5/3. I hear this type of story all the time at supper:-) Its always her branch that takes care of the customers and gets things done. Its 95% in who you talk at the banks and 5% policy. Though that 5% policy really pisses people off no matter were you bank. She's worked at a few banks around town and my statement is true at any of those as well. Also from what I hear her tell me if you want anything done super fast with your account you have to go to the branch that owns your account (meaning the one you originally opened it at.) They should be able to take care of you immediatly. If you opened it in one of the other cities the data would be crossing regional HQ's and would get slowed down in the red tape. Thats about the only real problem with 5/3. they gotta get there computer systems talking better. Evan

My only real problem with dish is there channel guide sucks balls. Unless you can get a different one it just doesn't work as smoothly as directv. other than that directv brough dish so they are the same company now anyway. Evan

Sounds like your box is the problem. Mine has worked without any of those problems. I do agree that it would be nice to get there DVR service and be able to transfer files to a computer easier. I've checked into some forums about that topic and found that the DVR box is the same one that TIVO uses and you can flash the firmware with TIVO files to enable the USB ports and connect it to a PC. I'm not that brave or I'd give it a try. As far as the TV cutting out even in small storms. I'd guess the alignment of the dish needs corrected. Wind and house settling will cause the dish to go out of alignment and it should be adjusted from time to time to keep it optimal. I keep mine above 95%. if you dip into the 80's likely that a large cloud would block the signal. Evan

I've used directv dishnetwork and WOW and directv is by far the best. It takes a dump usually in the middle of a huge storm when we got severe rain and hail, but you really shouldn't be using your satellite during that shit anyway if you wanna keep your electronic goodies working so I don't consider outages and issue. I really love there DVR service. It makes sitting down in front of the TV worth doing again. Evan

Yeah agreed. Not really any good reason for prices to go up this time though a small increase is this time of year for repairs/upgrades to refineries and other facilities. Evan

haha That Cark's sound would scare your Subaru:-) Evan

Radioshack Bud. At least they had stuff for that last time I tried to do something with that many wires. Evan

yeah 401K ain't a bad deal even if the match ain't that great my company only matches 25% on the dollar up to 4% of my income. The good part is on 25% your already beating the indexes and on top of that you get the growth of the fund which usually meets or exceeds the indexes which are normally around 11%, but there are good years and bad years. I'd start a 401K, but I just can't pull myself to do it yet. I do invest in stocks as a hobby and have followed the markets ever since I could read. If I did do a 401K I'd drive the accountants mad from all my calls to switch stuff around. Thats the only real way to win with a 401K you gotta stay on top of it. Some years when things aren't doing well you gotta switch to lower risk/return items such as bonds, finacial institutions, and the big dawgs like GE. When the market gets healthier you gotta be in the risky stuff growing your money like mad. Don't just let it sit and never check on it, but don't bother checking on it weekly or even monthly. Maybe 2 times a year would be a good time to check on things and then keep your ears open over the years for good/bad news and I"m not talking mainstream media crap. Even reading Yahoo's finacial page will give you much more info about whats going on. Lots of day traders swear by yahoo for there info. Evan

We spent probably 3K on the day and it was as nice as any I've been too. Its her day do what she wants and let her learn that it really was a waste of money afterwards:-) Evan

I'm always looking for opportunity as well and definatly buying a business could be much easier than trying to start one. I bet you already know that though or you wouldn't be considering it. I wouldn't even worry so much about whether I like doing the thing the business would be about myself since I wouldn't want to have a business if it meant I'd have to work 40 hours a week or more. I see way to many small business owners who put more than 40 hours of work/time into their businesses and make money, but since they are more of a tradesmen and not a businesman they end up working to hard. Their pay ends up being about the same as what they would do if they just worked for someone and payed the lower taxes and didn't have all the other overhead/trouble associated with it. Myself I'd only manage a business and probably only manage it from the paper standpoint so I could go enjoy life. The added stress needs to be compensated by something:-) Evan
