First time going to a chiropractor, should I be worried?
Tractor replied to Nitrousbird's topic in Dumpster
Well if your age posted on the site is correct your just getting old and out of shape. Deal with it:-) Nah I have no idea really. I feel that doctors prescribe meds for $$$, chiropractors pop things for $$$. Theres no difference really. You could probably go to a foot doctor that will tell you you need certain shoes that costs $$$ and he'll fix you right up. Damn I'm paranoid maybe I should see someone about that. Evan -
If you need something really hard to find you can order it from Marietta Ignition (740-374-6746). They stock some of the craziest stuff that other so-called fastern stores can't even get. There in Marietta, OH though so it will take a day or two for the shipment, but I guess thats as good as it gets sometimes. Other than that theres Columbus Fastner, Fastnal, and some others all up by the Bud plant. I go to them sometimes, but always end up getting it from Marietta Ignition after they all tell me they can't get it. I hate going to roush hardware, but do go there sometimes. Its just annoying to pay $1 to $7 for a bolt. Also if you need an automotive related part/bolt you can go to the napa warehouse in Linworth. they usually have what you need. Evan

Well yal can have your enviro friendly cars. I'll keep my pollution spewing nasty old 4x4 that gets < 4mpg. I only use it once a month so I'm doing my part. Hell I could drive it to work. Evan

Well since saying anything countering al gores argument makes me a moron so I guess I'll just say this. Fine give up all the stuff that makes your life easier if you feel that its gonna help stop global warming. Sure will feel good to know that we all saved the earth when we are sitting in very cold drafty homes built from sticks and mud huddling because killing trees to warm ourselves is evil. Oh and forget about racing. We can call it columbuswalking or something because we can't have cars. Wow people make me sick. Basically without the stuff that is killing our planet I wouldn't have a job, wouldn't have a way to get to one even if I did. Millions upon millions would be in the same conditions. We'd be pretty much screwed if we didn't have the things that make our world work as it is today. If there was a real way to have these things we'd do it. Sure corporations are behind alot of the problem because they'd rather sell the last drop of gasoline or cut down the last tree rather than find a better way to make fuel or paper but there ain't nothing we can do about it and just enjoy. Your on a racing forum if you don't like ruining the planet don't race and don't post this stuff on racing forums where there are people who enjoy sports that destroy the planet. How was that? I'm bored and figured I'd try ranting for a change. Evan

Hell yeah rainy winters make much tougher 4x4 adventures. Of course I still don't go much due to the damn time change. I hate the rain though. We need to clear out the dumb people on the streets and the snow is one way to make them wreck. Evan

You know I hear alot about global warming and such, but I don't see any proof and last night I was really bored and was checking out weather.com old stuff and found that this is still a cold day compared to the temps in the mid 1960's this time of year and of course its a very warm day compared to around the mid 1970's through early 1980's. Check it out for yourself. Its Ohio we can never tell whats going to happen. Evan

I like IE from the standpoint that users in the offices I go in and have to work everyday use it so its kinda nice to know about, but I switched to firefox awhile back and I've had 99% less problems surfing porn sites and other shit that used to get IE all the time and have me downloading patches. Even with the exact same firewall and other network stuff so the problem was definately IE. I did notice my office upgraded to IE 7 the other day and it now has alot of the stuff I like in firefox, but I bet the security is still crap. Evan

Well if the government did decide to get everyone a house some people are stupid and would just get tricked out of there houses. They could also just be dumbasses and get a mortgage for drug money or what ever. They could also fail to see the need to work and then lose there house. All sorts of people create all sorts of reasons why this type of thing would never work. In the end it would be the same situation with some of us having houses and some of us not and some of us would be exploiting the weak and the dumb and living like kings. Thats why we have rulers in the first place. They were just better at the game then everyone else or started in a better position because someone in there gene pool was better at it. I say cut education funding and put the cash from it into social security accounts for us all. Who knows how long we could all sit around on our asses bench racing and whatever. Evan

Help: Furnace not working, and my house is FREEZING!!!
Tractor replied to Nitrousbird's topic in Dumpster
That flame sensor is the most common problem on gas furnaces and its very cheap and sold at any hardware store. Your problem sounds exactly like a bad temp sensor. I can't remember the name my dad aways called it. Its either a thermocouple, thermostat or thermoswitch. My copier fusing unit training is getting in the way of the correct term, but you know what I mean. Don't go wasting money until you've replaced that part. Its 100% fixed any furnace I've worked on for people. Oops saw that you've replaced both. I'd pull that board and put the old one back in with the good sensor and see what happens. Its definately worth $300. Evan -
I agree with Eric here. BTW nice research on the stats. I also agree with Mike. All sports are subjected to this type of bad media coverage. Hell even the play grounds at schools suffer from carebear worry-wart types complaining of the dangerous conditions without really thinking things through. Evan

Wow. I'm moving south. No really. I've jumped enough to get my truck to bottom out on the hills down home and used to race my brother on the way to work on the backroads, but I'd never hit a ramp like that even in a junker. Thats just stupid. Yal should have seen the time I almost crapped myself when my brother jumped his `84 cougar about 10 feet in the air. The fucker hit his brakes with me right behind him in my truck. From my angle I thought I was gonna land on his trunk. Evan

Keep the vids of morons comming. That was great I laughed so hard I almost pooped Evan

Wintermarks + chains = Win!! I agree tires designed for a single type of terrain/weather will always win. Sure wish we'd get some snow in Columbus again soon. Driving is getting kinda boring again. Evan

I've never looked at the specs on a tazer, but I've taken a copy machine corona discharge and I nearly passed out. The older ones where 50Kv at 1500ma. I've seen others accidentally touch them too and they usually drop to the ground making funny noises. Evan

I don't know what will happen, but I do know that I grew up in a part of the state where all you can make is minimum wage and the only time you get pay increases is if your lucky enough to find a better job or if the law forces a pay increase like the one we will now have. That sucks too because I can tell you that in columbus a Walmart worker will make much more even twice the minimum wage, but in that town I grew up in they make the minimum wage or maybe slightly more. Funny though really since that walmarts goods cost the same and the big city ones. Taxes are the same cost of shipping and any other cost you could possibly think up is exactly the same. The only difference is that they are allowed to hurt that employee simply because they live were they live. Normally I'm very conservative, but in cases where I see wrong doing on the part of companies and even governments I gotta do something. Evan

How much shock are you talking? I"m sure they are built with a better casing, but a standard battery has to be able to handle quite a bit of shock anyway to even be in a car. If it were me I wouldn't waste the money on an optima. Also Interstate has become nearly the worst battery on the market. United Rental was even a dealer for them and dropped them due to so many defective products and poor customer support. I haven't found a good battery in a long time. The best one I had was an old marine one from Sams Club. That battery lasted a long time under very hard conditions. Since that one I've went through alot of walmart/advance autoparts batteries of all price ranges with no real luck. Evan

Very true and thats to bad too. Evan
-
Yeah I was gonna say that they are already planning to do something about it anyway in the near future so thats just a promise to the under informed people anyway. Evan

It could be the revamped Tundra that toyota has been talking about. I'd think that 400HP for an off the showroom floor truck would be a bit overkill, but truck guys love overkill anyway. Evan
-
ROFL, if I were him I'd crank that flag pole up to like 200 feet and put a light on it per federal rules for towers and such just to really mess with those jerks. Evan

That sucks. zoning code in Franklin County for privacy fence is 6 feet. I suppose some HOA's may have there own rules for it Also I agree, seems us who live in the city don't own our land as long as someone else has a problem with what we have or do on it. To bad there isn't a department or claim form or something to protect citizens from "Ultra Sensitive" neighbors. People should just understand that they live around other people and are going to have to get used to other people having different lives, hobbies, styles than themselves. Oh well the wife and I are thinking of building way outside this hole anyway. Yal can store your crap with me when I do:-) Evan
-
Yeah that would be pretty hard to hide. My trailer is around 30" tall so I should be okay once I get it hidden. Oh well time to go to Home Depot. Evan
-
According to zoning code you can't have it in a residential area, but to get around that problem you can build a privacy fence. If it can't be seen from adjacent properties or from the street then its not a problem. I may put up a fence to stop these types of complaints. Or just move. My neiborhood doesn't have a home owners association, but they do have one that keeps trying to start up and keeps sending out news letters. They mentioned in it that they would like everyone to help report zoning violations. I just can't understand why people think they are doing good work by bothering people. I can totally understand real problems with saftey, health, and even serious cosmetic problems, but not someones boat, car hauler, whatever that ain't bothering anyone and is out of the way as much as possible. Evan
-
Hmm you got that problem too. That sucks. I got a letter from Economic development saying I can't have my trailer at my house which I've had for 2.5 years also. Evan

I take stuff to Ace as well. Usually because I'm on my way to Pick N Pull. I suppose you could go to the one on Joyce also. Evan
