Lol I'm guessing she's a girl friend. I hated when my wife was my girl friend. Now that she's my wife its much different and way better. No more of that "you can't possibly have fun without me BS" Evan

I wouldn't let you know I was laughing, but if I where there I'd probably have had to go outside for that one ImUrOBGYN. wow that must have hurt. Evan

Thats the truth. I have a feeling the japanese imports only lasted a long time because they had to build quality to get americans to buy them. Now that we buy them they can work on making serious profits by cutting corners. Toyota has cheapened there trucks every year since the tacoma came out and at the same time the price has been going up. As for just taking care of a car to make it last 200K+ that doesn't seem to be correct. In my job field all the field service techs drive all types of cars. The guys with the japanese imports are all buying the car at 100 to 150K and running them up over 300K. The domestic car buyers get them around 80K and run them to 150K before there done. There is the one guy that has 400K on his 1970 Chevelle with the big block that still ain't done anything to it except fixing leaks and alternators/starters. He bought the car new in 1970 as well so maybe he did take care of it or maybe he's just getting lucky everytime he drives it. Evan

I get tired of two things on this message board. 1) the "spelling police" who cares if you can read it its good enough. 2) the people that say crap like mega said. I know that every person on this board has broken traffic laws at least once and probably 99.9% of you break a few daily. I break many of them all the time. I don't have anything that can go excessively fast, but I get the 10 over tickets all the time and I do about anything else that I coudl get citied for and I see most everyone else doing it to. Luckily the cops around town don't get you for very minor stuff or they'd put me away. Evan

Boys and Girls that didn't go to college...
Tractor replied to Stallion Motorsports1647545491's topic in Dumpster
yeah pretty true in the I T field now days. Companies are looking for experience more than anything else. Nobody needs some fresh college grad to screw things up. They can pay experienced people to mess it up just the same. Evan -

yeah who you know is more important than anything else. a good word put in by someone thats already employed where you want to work is about as good as gold. I also didn't even get a HS diploma so I guess I'm one of those few and far between lucky people, but I'd like to think that I have a work ethic and determination that helps me out more than anything. If you want to get ahead you will. its really that simple because you'll do what it takes, give up what you have to and whatever else is necessary. Evan -
Best I've found around here is a long one. Take SR 13 south from I-70 out by trails and take that road along with SR 37 all the way to McConnelsville. That should keep you busy for about an hour in most stock cars. You can also stay on 13 all the way and you end up near athens. Its a very nice drive through some pretty areas and old mining towns. Boys and Girls that didn't go to college...

I don't really see the point of college unless your going into a field that would require the type of training you'd get in school like a Doctor or other type of profession where alot of close hands on training by educators would be required. What do you do now? If your imaginative you can find a way to use the skills you have to do something else that might be more fun. You could then keep moving in the direction you wanna go until you get there. For us that didn't go to college its either that or stop everything and go back to school. You could also do evening classes or whatever. I don't know I have a great job that pays great and is tolerable, but I guess I won't really ever be happy about work until I don't have to work again ever, but thats just me:-) I've been thinking lately that I might someday look into teaching at a tech school or something. I've heard alot about people who've had a lot of experience in there field moving on to teach and that might be something I'd like to do. I believe in teaching from experience more than I do teaching from the books anyway. Oh and also my job is a highly technical one and about 95% of the people in it are just hands on smart guys that can do electronic and mechnical types of repairs. There is the other 5% that wish they didn't have college loans to pay for. Evan -
Pretty funny, but yeah umm GAY. Evan

The people have forgotten 9/11 and it didn't take 5 years for it to happen. Probably took more like 12 months tops for around 50% of the people. A number of that half most likely care more about things that effect there lives and/or pop culture than what goes on in the world around them. Just a sad truth. Evan

I like to drive in places that I need to just let the rig idle along and I can hear the axles scraping. Evan

The entire area surrounding the Du Ponte plant down near Marietta has been proven to be contaminated with some nasty stuff. So severely that a lawsuit has actually been moving through the courts and they just finished giving the population down there blood tests to determine how much its effecting them. I went there and got my test done and money in my pocket. Pretty fun actually, but it all started after around 1999 when the ohio river basically started to stink from all the dead fish. It was actually pretty bad just driving across the river to work everyday in the summer. Evan

check out http://www.ohiotrails.org for the best information and links to information about ohio trails for all types of recreation activities. Also you can try http://www.ohio4x4.com for more general information. I'm a member of both organizations although I do the 4x4 truck thing mostly. Also Ohio Multi Use Trails Association is working with the wayne nation forest to increase the quality and quantity of trails in ohio for ATV, bikes, and 4x4's. Currently we have a couple large areas comming up as possible spots one is over 2400 acres and the other is probably closer to 5000. These will be state run pay to play parks if/when they are completed. check the sites out and we need memberships pretty badly to help the cause. Also members get access to some neat ATV and bike events on private property a few times a year. Evan

Wow what do you do to make only $6.50 an hour in columbus and work somewhere that would have union workers. Thats really not good. I'd quit so fast and do nearly anything else. Evan
-
I haven't used the high torque ones yet. It would be best if you had the bigger 168 tooth flywheel as far as starting goes. Corvette starters are good for us offroad guys since their sealed. Evan
-
yeah the truck sits or is a trailer queen so its never sees roads. My work car a 94 Corolla Wagon gets around 28 with the AC on and loaded with copier parts. My 05 taco gets 21 and around 13 towing the trail rig. Evan

yeah I usually go to hocking hills or the private observation site the Columbus Astronomical Sociaty has out towards McConnelsville. Even from hoover dam my telescope could easily bring Mars in to the size of a dime on the best nights and could easily see the caynons. To bad a dust storm started about half way through its closest approach in 03. Evan

Something like 3 or 4 mpg on my toyota. It will run my welder at 1800 RPMs for around 8 hours though. Evan
-
lol why do people keep running that same stupid story around the internet? Mars was as close as its gonna get for 60K years in 2003. Now that was a nice year to view mars. won't be any more like it in our lives. I spent nearly every evening out with my telescope at hoover resourvor looking at it and letting boaters take a look. I know that companies get areas that they basically monopolise and do charge pretty high rates. Funny too since in 1998 a law was passed to open up more free trade between these types of service providers. To bad they found a different way to maintain control. I live in westerville and my only option for cable is insight. Lucky for me I live in an old neighborhood so no home owners corp to tell me I can't have DirecTV. I got it and love it. Never any problems and the price is less than half of what insight quotes. Evan
-
Well the AMA right now is working to make the law no longer give people "acting stupidly" the right to sue for damages they recieve from there stupid actions. Its mostly for dirt bikes and quads, but I'm sure it may effect other activities as well. So far the legislation has been doing pretty well and we are hopeful that it will open up new riding areas around the state. And take the fear of law suits off the minds of land owners. Evan
-
Not sure what its called, but I have a book with info about stuff to do in westerville and they have what they call a nice climbing set up as part of there recreation facility. Never been there because I'm fat and lazy compared to my teen years. Evan

Amazing the injuries a cat can heal up and how quickly. Evan

Normally 80 or 90w is fine for a rear end. You do need something different for a limited slip, but I can't remember at the moment. Evan

You could check the state laws and county laws unless you live in a town that has laws. Without knowing where you live I could not tell you how to find any laws. I know that when I lived on a farm with the nearest neighbor to far away to see I could be as loud as I wanted and no one ever cared. Evan
