If its not working and you have the drivers installed, can see the network card in the device manager, then you have a problem with your network protocols or a defective driver or network card. If you have a known good network card laying around just disable the onboard NIC and install that one and its drivers. If that works then maybe you can just remove and reenable the onboard NIC and you might get lucky. It could be that some files are corrupt or missing that will get installed when you get any card to work. Also make sure that Plug and play is enabled in bios. Its always possible that it isn't and is stopping you from installing the new hardware properly. Most importantly keep it simple. Correctly installing and operating a NIC is more involved then setting up most other devices and a wrong check box somewhere is all it would take to give you headaches for days. Evan

The CD4E is a very bad auto tranny. The problem your having is a very common problem. Common enough that a TSB should have been issued by now, but you know how american auto companies are about owning up to mistakes. Damn just get a hammer and remove that axle nut. Evan

I parked my truck on my dads farm for a week and went back to move it to my house. When I started it I had mice running like mad to get out the hole that the shifter goes through. At least I didn't have any snakes in it though. They seem to like our bull dozer pretty well. Evan

If you have to take that stupid test that asks questions about how you feel about drugs and stealing just don't even bother with the damned position. I hate those and have no idea how its even supposed to work. I worked for a company that tried it out and they found that most of us would use drugs and would steal in a heart beat even though they knew us better than that anyway. Even the owner was considered less that a good employee according to the resaults so I'd say there bogus and lining some HR companies pockets. Evan

Wow Just use a 1/2" drive rachet and a 3lb hammer if you don't have an impact wrench. The shock load of the hammer or an impact wrench alone is worth more than your 3 foot breaker bar. Evan

There aren't many GPS unit you can buy with the roads we run on them. You'll have to make sure you can buy software for it to include those roads. They are getting better every day though so maybe there are some nice ones out now. The next one I'll buy will probably be one of those PC bases units that are basically an antenne that connects to your laptop or PDA. That will enable you to use alot of different software to track your position. Those antenne also provide the best signal in the type of terrain you see in ohio. We're about to go into vinton county and do a full survey of the roads there. Theres a huge dispute going on down there now that may cause some trouble for our next novice ride, but we're working on it early. Evan

Directv uses 1 dish. Its called Hughesnet now and has been updated. I haven't heard much more then that it works well. I may look into it in the future. Currently I'm on SBC DSL. Evan

Damn she's getting it all done early. Guess she's gonna retire at 25. Evan

I talk on a phone and operate my GPS all day while driving for work and I do around 700 miles per week like that. But I don't cut across lanes and drive like a dick unless I"m not on the phone or GPS. Evan

I like the idea of claymores. Messy and loud. Evan

I role money through credit cards. Epecially the ones through Royal Carribean and continental. That way I get free/cheap vacations. Of course I'm talking paying every possible expense through them. Evan

Yeah I wouldn't get to much of a loan if your making around $600 a month. I'd definately get a loan or something though. It will help your credit down the road and that can be worth more than alot of things you can do. Likewise if you mess up your credit it takes years of being responsable to get it fixed. Anytime I have something big I"m gonna buy I sign up for a 0% introductory APR credit card and buy the item with that. Then I pay it off before the 0% term expires and cancel the card. If you find that you cannot finish paying it off before the term expires you can simply apply for a new card and transfer the balance to the new one with a new 12 to 15 month 0% term. The main thing is don't get in over your head yet. Evan

I'm not usually making bold statements, but if you ran from a Rot then you gave it exactly what it wanted (a chase). If you show any sign of fear or weakness a dog will attack. In 99% of cases its as nervous about the fight as you are and its instincts tell it to bark and get all crazy acting. This is done to hopefully make you think twice about attacking it. Now at this time if you turn and walk/run away then it will gain the upper hand and probably chase (for play) or attack. Thats how most stupid people and children get bit by dogs. Theres a good reason we are there masters. I just love when I see some 30 year old man standing in my yard worried that my neighbors beagle is gonna kill him. Usually there backing up and about to turn and run at the site of it. It this hillbillies day. Evan

I very much hate trick questions. I left them blank last time I went to apply for a job. That caused them to question why I left them blank and gave me the opportunity to express my ideas about those types of questions when screening people for highly technical/mechanical jobs. They loved my anwsers and getting hired had something to do with taking that risk. Evan

Yeah dogs = dumb as shit and weak. Cats make your arm look like you were stuck in a meat grinder. I'd much rather fight a 180 LB dog then an 80 LB cat. Evan

that type of camping, while it may be found is going to be hard to find in ohio. 99% of ohios state parks have campsites and are usually pay per night sites. You may be able to find a trail in the wayne national forest that allows trail side camping. You may also be able to camp somewhere along the buckeye trail. I'm not sure how that all works because I'm not really into hiking, but I do know the state parks, state forests, and the wayne national forest. The WNF has very few pay per use sites and has alot of primitive sites. IE no water, electric, or bath houses. you can find alot of these in the WNF along St. Rt 26 near Marietta. Thats about 2.5 hours from delaware. If your into driving and scenery that would be a great area. Evan

If this happens it is because of a loss of line pressure. Probably because 1) Your very low on fluid or a line broke/leaking (If you have a rubber section of hose in the system inspect it closely. They do fail eventually. 2) The master cylinder has failed 3) The slave cylinder has failed 4) Not likely, but the pedal's linkage could be messed up or needs adjusted Pretty easy to fix the problem, but until then just start it in gear to take off and then match the engine flywheel and trans speeds to shift gears. Pretty easy once you try it a few times. I once had to complete a trail ride that way in my toyota. That was an experience. Evan

hehe tried for a few minutes. I think I remember doing that on a test at some point. I'm sure theres something that needs to be done, but can't find it readily. Evan

cool. Its always good to hear people are working. being out of work sucks. I've been there alot of times. Evan

Well you can also listen to the injectors firing by holding the end of a screw driver on the injector and placing your ear on the handle end of the screw driver. Listen to all the injectors and you'll notice a difference on the #2 if its not firing. Other then that theres really nothing more difficult to troubleshooting this type of problem. You can compression test it if you want, but I'd bet alot of money that the engine ain't even old enough to have the type of damage that would be required to show up on a compression gauge. And probably not ran hard enough either. haha I stuck my finger in the coil wire and used my finger to complete the circuit to get a jeep started on the last trail ride I went on. You just gotta get used to the jolt and your good to go. Evan

Its really not going to be difficult to fix. It will either be a problem with; 1) Spark plug, wire, distributor cab(if its got one) 2) plugged or otherwise failed injector Both are easy to diagnose and easy to fix. The first thing you can do is start the car and pull the wire off the spark plug. Hold the end of it near some metal and see if you can see/hear a spark. If you still can't see/hear anything just stick a finger on it and you'll know right away. If you jump and scream alot then the wire is good. now turn car off remove plug and inspect it or just replace it if you want there cheap. If all is good on the ignition side you can remove the fuel rail. You should be able to turn the key on and have fuel spray out of the injectors. if that don't work try to start it and fuel should spray out. This is a little more complicated, but still not hard. Evan.

Damn your right. I'd never pay more that a couple of bucks for something that will get pissed out. Fucking rich bastards. Evan

Since I recently reconfigured a GM alternator for welding I'd say the alternator that is on the car now even though it is supposed to be a 1 wire is actually just a jumpered 3 wire unit. So its basically just putting 12volts from the battery to the field and to the regulators reference voltage terminal. A 1 wire set up can be done with the jumper on the outside actually going from one terminal to the other at the harness or can be jumpered on the inside of the casing. Maybe the reason a normal 3 wire alternator seems to charge better has something to do with it detecting the differential between Vref and Vte at lower RPM's were as a 1 wire set up will simply energize the field and output voltage as RPM's increase until it reaches its most effiencent RPM/voltage output. So after all this I"d say you could simply rewire it for a 3 wire configuration if you feel like it. Evan
