  1. Yeah, I've been watching it closely as well. I like the fact that it has a "river delta" design built in with so many water front areas. Maybe you know more about the real estate there than I do. I'm looking for cheap as possible because housing is not what we are interested in and are planning to do a lot of traveling year round. I'd like to be near and preferably below 100K for a home.
  2. I'm with Brian, I'd have to have so much money I can't get rid of it fast enough before I'd buy a car that nice. They are nice cars for sure, but I guess my hillbilly butt could get along just fine in a Toyota or BMW.
  3. I would pick raleigh but the weather isn't good enough and the coast is barely close enough. I've been streaming different cities local talk stations to get a feel for day to day happenings.
  4. I'll be watching the weather as well, I need to drive my truck somewhere to burn up the rest of the summer fuel in its tank.
  5. Any ideas about Wrightsville, NC? Its a little further north, but if things don't go according to plan I've been in contact with a company down there that would hire me anytime.
  6. I like how the only way the situation got any real attention from the media was through the use of chemical weapons during a slow news period. They have been in a civil war since the Arab spring movement in 2010-2011 and Libya revolted as well, got UN support and removed Colonel Gaddafi summer of 2011. Syria hasn't gotten much UN help yet and deserves it just as much. I typically side with republicans, but find it appalling that they have tried to spin this as "helping terrorists" when we all know if they had the decision to make they would have already bombed them. To be honest Obama is just sabre rattling and I bet Syria knows it. He's just hoping to scare them into a peaceful solution when all that is really needed is air support and some logistics bombing by the US or UN. The Syrian rebels have done a great job of fighting a government with superior fire power and resources and have nearly defeated them a few times over the past couple years. I watch this stuff closely as its tied into the stock market. I made some huge trades during the 2011 movements caused by those civil wars.
  7. I like charleston, though I haven't found cheaper places to live there yet. Seems like you either get a very tiny apartment for under 100k or you get houses at +300k. Not a lot in between so far. I probably just need to do more research. Where ever we end up I'm not planning on messing with a nice large house, we have other things we'd prefer to spend money on and have discovered that we aren't homestead type people and would rather be traveling, etc.
  8. Yeah id love to move to florida. I should get a yacht and mess around the keys and the carribean very easily. Wife isn't into moving that far south yet, maybe I'll persuade her someday.
  9. A while back I mentioned my family was thinking about moving to North Carolina. Well now its pretty much confirmed that we will be moving to the south at some point in the next 5 years. We've mostly ruled out NC, the only reason I'd move their is the wife has a sister near Greensboro, but we hate the area. I've gotten her talked into living close to the coast and we want to get nicer weather so I've mostly been looking between Little River, SC and Charleston, SC and very close to the ocean, probably no further than the west side of inter-coastal water way. At the moment I have it narrowed down to; A) Myrtle Beach metro area (I've got family there) B) Charleston, SC Any other idea's? We're looking for city life and weather thats better than Ohio or we'd move to the Outer Banks of NC in a heartbeat.
  10. I wonder if the JL W1 is still the one for .75cu ft boxes? Its been awhile for me too.
  11. If I ever do it again, I'm gonna contract the work out myself. Home builder didn't do much except add on expense.
  12. send them a modded version of that "save the puppies from the horny somali pirates" scam, using a secret return email addy of course, asking for their information. By doing this you can get a few things about them, A) If they send info and money they are a nice, yet dumb person B) If they don't reply they are either smart or hate puppies, try kittens.
  13. While day trading I see a lot of interesting connections as well. It really helps to notice these things.
  14. I wonder if the radiation levels higher in the pacific garbage patch.
  15. My neighbor does his 1/2 mile long driveway with an ATV + plow. I've always done 1/4 mile driveway with a tractor. To be honest I think his method works better.

    Man Garage

Nice, sucks how garages never end up big enough. I have been in a few warehouses near rickenbacker that might be an exception though.
  17. I'd get the shield since slightly smaller is still slightly smaller, but you also have to be realistic about your plans for the gun. A) take it to the range and shoot a bit B) 99% concealed carry, self defence only If its (A) then I'd get a full size. If its (B) I'd get the smallest (easiest to carry) and cheapest because the target is gonna be very close and your gun is gonna end up in a evidence locker if it ever gets used for its intended purpose.
  18. Omg a relay and second fuse. I'll check that area asap, thanks.
  19. I'm not going to spend a lot of time on it, the dash cigarette lighter just needed sprayed with electrical cleaner. The second one must be something else. If I get tired of messing with it I'll just run another wire and forget it.
  20. Anyone know where the 12v comes from for the 2nd cigarette lighter that is installed near the parking brake handle between the driver and passenger seats? I checked all the fuses I can find and don't see any that would be for it, also don't see anything else blown or not functioning. I'm almost thinking its tapped into the parking brake switch or something in the shifter assembly. Wiring diagram would be so helpful.
  21. Its slow for sure (first gen focus motors), but totally capable. I use it a ton at weddings, enough that I probably should upgrade it to a 1.4 or 1.2, but its not a critical lens in my arsenal.
  22. One of the best methods for learning composition is simply sticking to one focal length and moving your feet to get the shot. The 50mm is great for this or simply don't use the zoom. Reading the book "Understanding exposure" is a good start. Also learning "the rule of thirds" and then expanding it to sixths. Last but not least, take lots of photos of peoples shoes;-) and don't forget your hipster gear.
  23. There are several serious military vehicle collectors in the lancaster/grove port area. Other than Motts there aren't any tanks this close to columbus (other than the Columbus SWAT vehicles) that I know of.
  24. I was going to grow my own until I looked into it a bit. To me it wasn't worth over 100days when I could just order powder on the net. Lol
