  1. There were gold buyers in the 70-80's wishing they'd never bought gold until recently assuming they held on to it. Just say'n its not something I'd consider a bright investment. Basically any time the world could recover and your stuck with a bunch of gold and no way to sell it without a loss.
  2. omg I couldn't finish it. mostly because I can't believe anyone would do something at all for a kia.
  3. I haven't rooted because as far as I know the only reasons to do so are to get the wireless tether working and because I can. Are there any more reasons?
  4. Something like this? http://www.replicasbytyson.com/images/T-FJTAC35034P_M-35A1_GUN_TRUCK.jpg
  5. I can understand a "well built for the task" truck such as the ford or the chevy. They clearly had long travel suspensions to deal with the fact that you easily got 10ft of air and they were stripped down and balanced to give a pretty good landing. But the classic car body? That dude put a lot of work into that thing, but it would barely stay running (carb kept flooding) He finally cleared its throat and got it going fast enough to trash it. BTW half of the stuff at this show was running on about half their engine and could barely get moving. Several 2WD's just limped up onto the first dirt pile and died.
  6. I've been bored so I got to playing with some photos I took at the Morrow County fair tough truck event. They had some pretty nice jumps. Not something I'd do with a 4x4, but whatever. There were other vehicles, but these were really the highlights, the rest were mostly cherokees and they all pretty much blew the front tires and destroyed the front suspension. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/automotive/IMG_8717.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/automotive/IMG_8690.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/automotive/IMG_8689.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/automotive/IMG_8678.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/automotive/IMG_8656.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/automotive/IMG_8724.jpg
  7. I updated to froyo, at first I did have some of the issues people talk about on android central, but they seem to have went away mostly. Sometimes (once per week) I cannot use my dial pad to enter extensions when calling my office, but that could be my companies problem because are system sucks bad and it wouldn't surprise me. I also recently stopped using any type of task killer and have noticed no difference in operation other than stuff runs better. Battery life is probably actually better.
  8. So relieved, I was about to close up my website and call it quits.
  9. Thats pretty cool, I never could stand on my hands so this is really impressive.
  10. Most of those are really awesome to begin with and your processing takes them over the top to epic. A few others were just snapshots to begin with, but the processing made them great. No consumer would care though, especially since as a photographer you spend time and money learning composition, styles, etc and then all the client ends up buying is the snap shots where everyone says "cheese." Did you adjust the DoF of that first photo? If that was a P&S I want one because thats something you'd expect only an SLR to produce.
  11. I've never bothered to go to concerts much. Actually I think I've only been to one ever, ICP with copperhead in the 90's. But I'd pay to see that show.
  12. Very useful, the other day I had a client deadline to meet and my home internet was out. I fired up easy tether and uploaded about a gig of photos to my client through my droid.
  13. Actually I read it again and there is a road test as well.
  14. I don't think there's a driving test, but there is a lot more than just a test involved. Keeping a log, medical exam, more fees, etc. its all in the text. If she doesn't need f350 she could probably get under weight with a smaller tow rig.
  15. For sure the creek pic is better for what I'm trying to do. The beach one is already a 16x24 canvas that I use at bridal shows. Its definitely a rule breaker but it works.
  16. Yeah I took that one in the bahamas at a clients wedding. I really ne ed to get more destination weddings.
  17. I also don't like the photo in the creek. it was the clients idea, as you can see we had direct sun on the subject and shade in other spots. I was also in the creek not alot of options for movement so I used a wider lens so not a lot of depth control. Having said that, clients loved it lots of women love it so I followed the money and put it on my site.
  18. Is that 3000 empty? Because my car hauler is 2100 empty 7500 gvwr and its non comm.
  19. Oh yeah rights are mine. The most I give a client is rights to print for personal use.
  20. Thats a lot better than anything I'd come up with. True vistaprint's print quality does suck badly and I'd much rather go with a local company.
  21. I do know that trucks above 1 ton are required to pay for registration by weight. Not sure if thats for a commercial tag or not though since I've never actually done it. Just research from where I'm looking at the costs of owning a military truck.
  22. The part that gets me is the "businesses" and "not for hire" wording in the same paragraph. It kinda opens that up to nearly everything. Then at the end says "individuals transporting personal items that are not in furtherance of a commercial enterprise will not be subject to the new rules." I guess "not for hire" must mean use other than say hauling/towing/recovery type rolls.
  23. Now that I think of it the motor carriers had a landscape truck stopped on I-71 by exit 136 today. I guess they are passing out the warnings. I think its a good thing though as I've seen so many ladders, buckets, bags of concrete laying on I-270 due to poor loading that someone should be keeping a better watch. the bad news is "install tin foil hat" they could now use "stickers" as an excuse to pull over just about any one with a size able load. Even my Tacoma + trailer + mud truck is about 11,000. At least I don't have stickers, but its an example of what could get pulled over.
