Kewl! Don't even try to replace any of the interior trim plastics. New is rediculous expensive, and used are brittle and worthless. Strip all the interior trim and go with aluminum sheets.

GTUs are the best transplant ones, lighter than a tII but with all the good racing equipt. except the turbo. The LSD would be a torsen though. No likey torque 4 piston calipers were standard on all but the GTU. I beleive they were an available option. Easy and fairly cheap swap if not in the roller. The 4 pistons are vented and all you will need to stop well in the beast!

*Raises hand* Sploded the diff in my FD as well. I ran a TII diff until my car got crushed. Easy swap. If the LSD doesn't have the spider gear debris to jamb the entire diff and flex the case until it splodes, then you can get away with the stock case. Yes, the case isn't reinforced but has a much better record with a clutch type LSD. then you just have to make sure you control wheel hop. If you end up going with a TII LSD, I have a set of solid urethane diff mounts, already installed in the dog-bone mounting bracket, I'll sell you cheap. I've swapped 4 or 5 diffs on my back in a garage. Not too bad except the bolts and Fuel filter on top of the differential.....unless you are a contortionist who owns Gearwrenches!

Even in his absence he still brings humor and a smile to me. I stopped in the bar we tossed so many back in. The bartender Cindy he so loved to fuck with was shaken and telling me Howard stopped in earlier. To preface, Kenny had been telling her for 4 months about caring for his miniature pony. She was so concerned that she expressed sorrow for his family and friends, and then for what will happen to the pony. I giggled and smiled. Dammit! Still cracking me up and he's gone.....

I've been riding the rollercoaster of emotion all day long. I met Kenny back in 02 when Skold, Kenny, and I would meet up with others at the Davidson lot. We lost touch for a few years and then just before he moved in with Howard, I started seeing or talking with him every day. We tossed back quite a few bevs together, shared some war stories, and made fun of a hell of a lot of people. I'm really gonna miss him.

NO! You can build a nicer one for less. If its a TII diff. that would be all you need. That's what I went to when I assploded mine. If it's a non-turbo diff, the clutch plates would be destroyed by the low end torgue.
