The GTP was discontinued in favor of the GXP. Also, you wouldn't be able to use the 6spd auto with the L67 unless you used two PCMs, and god only knows what programming you'd have to do. The G6 uses a CAN-bus, L67 is OBDII.

Actually, no. The GXP didn't get it. The GTP did. They made both. GTP got the 240hp 3.9L and the 6spd manual. GXP gets the 252hp 3.6L and a 6spd auto with a tapshift.

It's the same block, and all the mounting points are there to use the RWD mounts. Bruce, buy Buck's engine, then check out Morad Parts Company on eBay for a 4t65e-HD trans, OR if you want something a bit tougher than the usual Getrag 5spd, look for an M4 manual 6spd from a G6 GTP. Anyway, welcome, good intro, +rep. EDIT, just thought, the L67 BLOCK will fit just fine, but the S/C will NOT. There's nowhere near enough room against the firewall. The only guy who has done it had to do a nasty hack job on the intake side of the S/C. If you want the L67 in an F-body, you'll have to go turbo or CSC.

It's a shame that GOClubGP is so inactive these days, but they're spread all over the state, and damn near half of em are in Dayton anyways. Not for 2012, I think, but maybe in 2016. I doubt that the Republicans will want to take a big risk like that in an election against an incumbent Democrat. Plus, any female who runs for the Republican primary is going to have to overcome the legacy of Sarah Palin, which, while it is somewhat positive right now among Republicans, will probably shift negative as more people come to think of her as a factor in McCain's loss. That's not a comment on Palin in this context, BTW, it's just that, as she fades from public view the negative will likely be remembered longer than the positive. Frankly, I don't think we'll see a female candidate from either side in an incumbent election.

They've gotten pretty good with their projection over the years, and every election gives them more info to make their projections in the next one better. Basically, at this point it would take a massive shift in the ratios of McCain/Obama votes to change the outcome in any of the declared states.

Oh, BTW, the line at Mentel was interminable.
