  1. 2005 was fun. Track conditions were pretty good, so EVERYONE was breaking out. The rules when both cars break out is that the car that is closer to the index wins. So it ended up that everyone would run WOT til about 30 feet from the 1/4mile line, then slam on the brakes and try to get the other car to shoot past. But if you come to a total stop, you're DQed. Nasty, but fun.
  2. M1A1 with composite stock and bayonet Springfield GI 1911/bull barrel Also, if we're talking survival weapons here, I'll throw in an 18" machete with a handguard. I'll be damned if I'm getting eaten by a zombie just cause I ran out of ammo.
  3. Yeah, the 1989 Batman was good. Batman Returns was kinda OK. Batman Forever sucked donkey dick, and watching Batman & Robin was like being sodomized with a stick. Batman Begins was a good movie, but held onto just a little bit of the comic book Gotham. Thankfully, it completely broke away from the previous Batman movies and started over. The Scarecrow was a good place to start, as it gives a back-story for every villain that comes after. Dark Knight, though, finally did away with comic-book Gotham altogether. No weird architecture, no freaky fifty-story statues on the sides of buildings, just a normal New York style city. That left room for them to concentrate completely on the story. And Holy Shit, did they get it right!
  4. Ah, God DAMN it! I wondered why I hadn't seen Sal in a while. I hope like hell the new owners are smart enough to leave everything as it is. Judging by the traffic whenever I go there, Sal is raking in the cash. Course, God only knows what rent is like. BTW, I used to know the guy who owns Neopolitana. I ran the lot where he parked every day, and ended up eating there about once a week. Damn good pizza.
  5. Is Corvette Corner still around, or did they tank? Haven't been by there in a while... BTW, why does everyone assume F-bodies can't turn? A little bit of work on the suspension, a tubular K-member, frame connectors, and some track-tuning, and an F-body can be a damn fine performer.

  7. Javelin test? Seen it millions...Unless you've got some personal vids of vehicle demo over there.
  8. Just get creative with a few of these.... http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/a11e/ http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/76ed/ http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/b278/ The Stealth Switch is probably the best, if only it didn't have that incriminating cord...Hide it under your desk and set it to blank his work window... :ninja:
  9. Orbital sander, much better option. Bill, he'll get his, somehow. Count on it.
  10. Standard answer to all audio questions: go to http://www.crutchfield.com and use their fitment guide. Don't buy, just check their guide. Guaranteed it gives you the right thing.
  11. Aim to kill? Aim to wound? WTF? In a threat situation you shoot to HIT. You aim center body mass. Whether you kill him or not is completely beside the point. You aim at the part of the body that gives you the best chance of hitting him, which means the torso, roughly the center of the chest. If you have time to acquire an aim point more specific than CBM, then the situation doesn't require lethal force. PERIOD.
  12. #1, .22LR, especially my Dad's old Remington Youth Model 514 Heavy Barrel. It may only be a single-shot, but you can drop rounds into one hole all damn day at 50 yards. #2, .30-06, M1 Garand.
  13. AT&T is actually losing a shit-ton of customers on the land-line side of things. Basically, who the hell needs a landline when you have a cell-phone? And dial-up internet is slowly dying out, so there goes another reason to keep a landline. At the same time, AT&T and Cingular, who they bought out, are losing market-share to Verizon, Sprint, Nextel, and all the various smaller cell companies.
  14. Fuck PETA. If people's fucking dumbass dogs run away, they deserve to lose em for not having an adequate leash or enclosure. LOCK UP YOUR FUCKING DOGS! Remember guys, PETA would rather have deer slowly starve from overpopulation than get shot and die quickly. BTW, if you ever get in an argument with an "animal rights activist" make sure to check what they're wearing. Nothing is funnier than a PETA fuck in Doc Martins...
  15. These guys are all hosers. Although the air powered thing looks like something I gotta try....
  16. Old news, dude. If the Italian cops are shocked by this, they're too stupid for a badge.
  17. After examination, you're right that the woman is the aggressor. She jumped up and started smacking the guy in the gray shirt, who grabbed her to keep her from hitting him. She dragged him forward, and he tripped over the row of seats in front of him, slamming both of them into the chairs a row or two forward. The guy who got body-slammed was beating on the dude in the gray shirt while he was on the ground. What relation he was to the chick, who knows.
  18. God, would I love to have him do one of those tube intercoolers for my car...
  19. Scott's? Hell no! That thing is beautiful!
  20. Thanks, Rick and Andrew. I'm gonna see what KillJoy can do. If he doesn't have the right tools, I'll get in contact with you guys. Mike, yeah, you guessed it. I want to build a 4" to 2" piston valve. The whole thing is, a piston valve can open faster than anything but a diaphragm valve, which operates on the same principle, but buy custom building it, I can eliminate some of the convolutions inside an industrial valve and get a higher flow rate.
  21. Well, that might be the hangup. What I have is a 1" thick block, about 1'x8". How difficult would that be to get into lathe-able shape? Or is it something I'd have to buy round stock for?
  22. Yes I do. I need check some measurements, though. Basically, I want to build a piston valve. It needs to fit inside a 4" PVC pipe, with just enough room to slide freely. One ring land should give me all the seal I need.
  23. I need to have some Delren plastic machined, and the info says it can be done using the same tools as steel without risk of fouling. Is there anyone out there who can do some lathe-turning for me? All I need is to have a round plug slightly smaller than 4" made, and ring lands cut into the sides.
