  1. Everyone knows that floorboards only come out due to danger to manifold caused by over-NOSing. Therefore, one can only assume the owner of the car is Paul Walker, and therefore it loses its sleeper status.
  2. I don't know what your definition of a sleeper is, but I feel like it something that should be able to be driven in the rain without letting the driver get soaking wet from below where there's NO GODDAMN FLOOR.
  3. Even more important than the $120/mo is the fact that with such a low interest rate, someone with a terrible credit score can successfully begin to build their credit. By having a low interest rate, they're not spending the first 3 years of the loan paying 60% towards interest 40% towards principle. 3 years into a low-interest loan, if they take good care of their car, there is a good chance that they're not flipped and have positive equity, which would allow them to continue building their credit or, should their personal needs change, they could purchase another vehicle with positive equity and continue to help their credit. I had a customer who was about to enter bankruptcy and could not get it through his head that instead of buying a car at 18.99%, he should just take the $3000 he was going to put down and find a running Honda Civic and drive it till he was out of bankruptcy.
  4. do this kind of paint job: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F8vFpUQPuww/TZXq5Y0yG1I/AAAAAAAABQc/Gjp7OzCqq84/s1600/lg_trailerpkboys_sxsw.jpg name that show!
  5. I clicked this thread hoping to get some advice for a future comp build of my own. Am disappoint.
  6. Rusted and busted. call me crazy but I like the wheels as they are.
  7. What dealership? I hear a lot of good things about a certain Newark dealer. edit: thanks for the compliment, and everything you said is true.
  8. Only snafu I've ever experienced was an idiot in a Corvette (why is it always Corvettes?) blowing up his motor and trying to drive back to the pits at Mid-O. From turn 6-turn 13 he laid down ALL his oil on the racing line before the car finally gave up. Moron couldn't understand why everyone was staring daggers while we waited 2 fucking hours to clean up half the track.
  9. Never ceases to amaze me how many people making $300k+ a year have a credit score of 400 because they spend $400k+ a year.
  10. Clear title on her HHR or does she owe on it still? Looking at used or new, as this will affect interest rates and what kind of cars she'd qualify for? PM'd.
  11. For all his idiotic ideas towards the beginning of his reign of terror, I like the new Kasich; the one who is scaled back and not violently anti-everying liberal. I still disagree with many of his policies but I'm no longer ashamed to call him my governor and have come to see him as a much more balanced leader. Or maybe he's just gotten a new PR team. Time will tell. And I thought it was the EPA who recommended they stop drilling at the other wells? Oh well.
  12. If I have an appropriate car, I will attend Mid-O for sure.
  13. Was waiting for someone to post this. Mega-OOPS. I wonder how much credibility those "EPA IS KILLING JOBS AND RUINING OUR STATE" just lost.
  14. See thats disappointing to me. Its even worse for the salesperson who worked hard to make you happy (that is, if they didn't use the same sales tactics as the manager). Very disappointed I recommended what turned out to be a slimy experience. Moral of the story: don't buy Acuras in Columbus?
  15. Definitely call around to Nissan dealers. Its likely that one of their salesmen could have a customer looking for a particular car, or a particular deal (i.e. I need a 2008 or newer Murano with under 20k miles and the customer can pay this much). With that in mind, they'll care less about making a huge profit than they will getting a sale. Hell try calling around today; I'm at work right now trying to finish off my year strong.
  16. Liver shot* Ever been hit there? You can pretty much feel your body, bit by bit, just give up on you. Your brain still keeps saying "do this do that" and your body says "FUCK YOU MAN DO YOU KNOW HOW BAD THIS HURTS"
  17. that looks like it hurt. you can see full body shutdown engage right after contact
  18. Thats all I really care about. Thanks.
  19. with my PS3 I: -stream netflix via wifi -stream NHL gamecenter via wifi -stream NFL Sunday Ticket via wifi -interwebz -gaming -BD -network via wifi to stream music/tv/movies from my PC I don't know if you're a sports guy but gamecenter and sunday ticket have changed my life.
  20. They're in my vending machine at work. Every time I take a bite I have an MSG chemical flashback of stumbling to campus gas stations at 2am.
  21. I'm not saying you're absolutely feeding greasy dealers, but you'll never know whether you give your business to help keep a greasy dealer doing unethical things or whether you've given your business to a hard-working ethical dealer that actually takes care of its clientele. What you're saying is that whoevers internet sales department drops their pants the fastest is who gets your business. What I'm saying is that with your attitude towards dealerships and salespeople, you'll never get the best service. You're entitled to good service, absolutely. What you're not entitled to is what I give my customers who keep in touch with me, who treat me with respect, and who understand the value of what I do. An example: A few months ago a guy bought a car from me and left his garage door opener and sunglasses in his car. He worked night shift so if his wife wasn't able to make it in before we closed, he wouldn't have either of those things for his drive home early in the AM. Instead of having his wife drive from Westerville to Groveport, I just drove to Groveport 15 minutes out of my way when I left for the day. This is not an extraordinary nice gesture. Its just something I do for customers. Its good business. Ask any of the handful of salespeople we have on CR, they would absolutely go to that length to make a customer happy. Now, if someone calls in and says "yeah, I only dealt with the new car manager but I forgot some stuff in my trade-in that I need, can someone bring it to me?" I can almost guarantee you won't see the manager, or salesperson, or whatever showing up at your convenience to make that delivery. At best you'll get a runner when its convenient for the runner to be sent or at worst, if you've bought from a greasy dealer because you spent 0 time getting to know who you're working with, you'll end up with a "sorry but you've got to come get it, I don't know who you are." Or even worse "sorry but we've already sent that car to the wholesaler" and you've lost whatever possessions were left behind. I've heard some horror stories in that vein before. EDIT: Ask the few people who've come to drive FIAT and met me. I'm an ethical guy. I'll never be so vindictive as to go out of my way to screw with someone. I have MANY shitty customers, even one guy who called my manager to tell him I was a shitty salesman for trying to sell a car $500 over invoice. You know what my manager said? He told me to never change what I was doing because if I wasn't pissing some people off, I wasn't trying hard enough. I have no problem upsetting someone who can't be made happy.
