On the one hand, IIRC the courts in many places have upheld what I'll call the "red light camera" standard of proof, where if you get a traffic camera ticket, it is YOUR responsibility to prove you were not at the wheel. This standard in other places has been shot down, I believe Ohio is one of those places, but still, for the sake of argument... I wonder, if you were using telemetry data subpoenaed from Tesla to prove that you were driving somewhere other than the scene of a crime, would the same assumption stand up in court; that is, prosecution must prove that it was not you at the wheel?

On my car I have the option to not hand over the car to a dealer for inspection/data retrieval. Are those options with a Tesla? Can you simply turn off OTA communications and location tracking? It's not just Tesla, Ford is making a major push to claim ownership of onboard software so that changing or maintaining your car independently is considered misuse of their IP.

Real question for the Tesla owners/drivers. How do you feel about Tesla's ability to monitor your driving habits via internet, and their obvious willingness to release details about what you do in your car to the media? I'm guessing they probably don't engage in that sort of thing until people drag them into the media, but still, I would like to read some opinions on the subject.

Who do you imagine the Faith will call as their champion? Could be Lancel Lannister, to force her to choose between killing her family or basically admitting guilt. Or they could ask The Hound to step in to fight his brother. I think the latter.

2 reasons: 1) I worked as a valet in Boston and Columbus, and all companies I worked for required back-in parking. Makes it much easier to quickly bring a customer's car back up and it prevents lip scuffs on high end cars. When you spend hours a night every single night parking dozens of cars in backwards, it becomes habitual. I still park front-in to avoid backups in crowded/busy lots, but I always prefer back-in. 2) When I'm in a crowded lot, or a lot with narrow-ish spaces, I'll back in so my passenger side is next to the passenger side of another car. Every car will have a driver, but not every car will have a passenger, and thus if I give myself slightly more room on the driver side, it is far less likely that my car door will take a hit from another car door. Especially the case when backing in next to a nice/enthusiast car. Enthusiasts tend to not want to slam each others' doors, so as long as I make sure my passengers are super careful (ask them, I do, and it annoys the fuck out of them) then I expect the same from my parking neighbor.

If you think the NBA is rigged how do you explain the Spurs titles? No one in their right mind wanted to watch Spurs basketball in the finals, it was boring as shit. Trust me, the deals there aren't good enough to warrant the headache of getting a dealer license. You're bidding against people with 100x the expertise, 100x the resources, and 1000x the tolerance for a bad bid. A shit car/deal for them gets spread out over hundreds of car deals and disappears almost immediately. A shit car for your business can leave important cargo high and dry in the worst way. Not to mention the prices are so near-retail that you might as well get something from a dealer that you can complain to when shit goes wrong. You're probably better off with public auction, private sale, or working with a fleet manager at a dealership.

I've been trying to talk them into getting an Alfa Romeo for it. Not quite as exotic as what they're currently using but they'd definitely be at home in that environment!
