  1. Different dealers have different advertising strategies. Some dealers advertise honest pricing which includes rebates that everyone can/should qualify for, some dealers advertise MSRP and then qualify you when you arrive, some dealers advertise every single rebate under the sun. The last ones are the dealers I don't like. You walk in thinking you'll get a great price and when it's time to buy they tell you that unless you're an amputee active duty war veteran with a realtor's license that just graduated a PhD program with a competitor lease and loyalty trade in and type B- blood that you won't qualify for the advertised price.
  2. Wish I knew where my old '59 Apache was. Probably still being restored somewhere.
  3. Everyone gets 'em for the same price and incentives are determined by where you title it, so you can theoretically get the same price anywhere. If I didn't work for a dealer I'd buy from Fiji ST
  4. Matt used to give me tix to the Clippers all the time, he really is an awesome guy. That's 99% of the reason my dad went to work for him, he loathed the culture at Nationwide Financial (with the exception of a few people) but loved Matt's ideas and values. It's not too often a guy in an executive corporate role goes to work in private wealth management, so that says something about what Matt brings to the table to attract my pops.
  5. A light read for you: http://www.hamiltoncapital.com/getattachment/21856997-fa86-45fe-9848-ace3d82b228c/needs-title/ Disclaimer: Tony Caxide is my dad, so I've got an obvious bias. And I'm not in finance/investing in any way. But he's pretty good at what he does, and when he joined that company they were managing about $500 million, he's helped double their portfolio (through investments and attracting new clients) in about 5 years. If you find what he's saying intriguing, I encourage you to research more into asset classes.
  6. I can't imagine them denying warranty work for anything like that. I've had that + APv2 (which I sold, will be getting a V3 soon) and not been hassled for warranty stuff.
  7. I might have an old Win XP machine I could probably part with. Let me check if it boots up tomorrow (won't be home long today) EDIT: count me out, no boot.
  8. The shifter makes a huge difference, I went with the Cobb version a long time ago and never looked back. Might as well get a green filter to install while you're taking the air box out (necessary for shifter plate) to let it breathe a little better. Lets you hear the turbo spool a lot better too. Focusst.org is your new best friend.
  9. Still selling yours? Should go up to the meet and put a FS sign in it
  10. I was wrong, I forgot they made another generation of Eclipse. The one I was thinking of was the 3rd Gen Eclipse, 2000-2005, which shared architecture with the Sebring. That last Eclipse was even more of a bastard.
  11. All that is because the last gen Eclipse was basically a reskinned Sebring
  12. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AXM :gabe: When it comes to Tesla, no business will be bigger than the business of selling RECs for a while.
  13. I've heard that they made ones that actually drove instead of just vomiting transmissions, but I'd never seen one before.
  14. What time is all that going down? I have to work most of the day but I'm gonna try to meet up with the group at some point.
  15. I'm sorry but this is a thread about cars, not circles of hell.
  16. My list is comprised of the favorites of middle aged women with drinking problems: Toyota Camry Solara Mini Cooper (non-S Auto) Chrysler Sebring PT Loser EDIT: Also Chrysler LeBaron
  17. And dat new steering wheel :megusta:
  18. Congrats! Love the 2015 changes. Seems to be a really healthy ST crowd in OH. There's a big meetup this weekend in Cbus, check out the FB Focus group.
  19. No idea how far it is, but I've been drinking lots of things from Portside Distillery and that shit is delish.
  20. Looks like one too. I get it, it's a niche product that's shouldering an enormous financial burden so it can't afford to take risks beyond the inherent risk of being an electric car. But at the end of the day it's still a $100k car that feels and IMO looks like a $20k car when it comes to the sensation of BEING in the car. The sensation of DRIVING the car is worth possibly quite a bit more than $100k. It's good that they're selling, as it means a brighter future for electric cars and a greater likelihood that they'll exist in some way without needing a 2 hour break to recharge or go out of the way.
  21. I hear Chris and Snoop will take you on a beautiful tour of the vacants this time of year.
