I like to think I was raised as a progressive old school kid. My dad was raised in a very Catholic house (Portuguese) and my mom was a flower child sibling, so she kinda resisted the hippie movement. Their steadfast rule was I wasn't allowed to have girls over unsupervised (not that it stopped me) until I was 18, I wasn't allowed to have them stay the night til I was 21, and we werent allowed to stay in the same room until I was 25 or engaged. I just dated girls whose parents were more lenient than mine so it was never an issue :dumb:. The few times it was close to being an issue it was a "my house my rules, get a hotel room if you wanna" type thing so i got a hotel room.

Honestly, I can't wait for the next chapter. BBC UK got stale to the point that I no longer eagerly tuned in, I'd wait for people to tell me whether or not it was worth watching.

AFAIK the SRT 392, Scat Pack, and Hellcat Charger variants are all only sold with the 8-speed auto.

Good idea, maybe a mod could sticky a golf equipment trade thread like the vidyagame one or something. I won't sell mine, but check out golf galaxy or golfsmith for used putters. I got a demo STX putter that is nicely weighted and I absolutely love it. Not the most common brand but I recommend it to anyone.

VZW is the only carrier that gets service in any of my or my gf's family's houses so switching providers is out of the question unfortunately.

Base price on a SRT 392 is $47k. Base for base you have $20k to play with. I think it'd be possible to gain 200hp with $20k. That's why I started this thread, I wanted to get people's different views. EDIT: Configured a Hellcat Charger and it tops out at $67k base MSRP, but you can't get the same equipment (for instance, no leather seat option). Still, it'll be tough to find a Hellcat Charger at MSRP due to demand.

I worked the auto show this past weekend and got to check out plenty of cars. The best part, though, is when we evacuate the building at the end of the show and we get to hear all the "off limits" cars go. One that really impressed me was the Charger SRT 392. Hearing that thing start up I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't a Hellcat. That thing sounds like a pissed off grizzly bear. So naturally when I'm killing a little time yesterday after the show I configured a few SRT 392s to compare them to the Hellcat. While the Hellcat is definitely awesome at 707hp, you'll pretty much never be able to put that down on the road. The SRT 392 comes in at 485hp, and COMPLETELY loaded, I'm talking upgraded paint colors, every option and package selected, you're looking at a $57k car which is likely to be more available, not marked up, and completely loaded compared to the $67k starting price of the Hellcat which you can't order anymore (too many orders), will definitely be marked up, and doesn't have all the extra goodies. So you've basically got $10k with which to put into go-fast bits at your discretion. Other than the warranty implication, can anyone really justify getting a Hellcat rather than just modding the everloving fuck out of a SRT 392?

Aye, there's the rub. Thank you both for the insight. I tend not to be an immediate upgrader, and I plan to keep my GS4 until it totally craps out which, given my experience so far with this device, could be a little while. Or at least until Lollipop comes along and overburdens it. Seems like given my particular situation (not always needing the latest and greatest) that Edge is a lateral move for me in the long run, I'll probably just wait for initial GS6 price drop and get it then.

We're on a 6GB plan and every month we're at about 90% usage, so even if I have to upgrade the plan the math still may work in my favor. I'm hoping this deal is around when the GS6 arrives.
