  1. Wish I'd seen this earlier, Duffs > Anchor all day.
  2. Mike, you've seen my wheels right? "Spanish Gold". IMO they would fit with your car. When they're clean they are a dark gold, when they get filthy they're more bronze.
  3. Linked because fuck photobucket. http://photobucket.com/gallery/http://s158.photobucket.com/user/bustedfoxwagen47/media/IMG_1110Custom.jpg.html
  4. http://www.carscoops.com/2017/10/teslas-struggle-with-model-3-might-be.html Apologies for the carscoops link, WSJ original article is paywalled. TL;DR the article alleges that Tesla is struggling with the production process of welding steel and aluminum. This is table stakes for an established manufacturer, but for a "startup" this is all new. Add to that their labor disputes (whether Tesla or UAW's fault, it still exists) and the frequent quality issues on early models S and X, and you have a recipe for disaster. You can fix software bugs and quirks with OTA upgrades. You can't just fix or replace frame welds that are literally coming apart at the seams via the internet.
  5. Didn't Huawei make 2 generations ago Google Nexus or something? My buddy has it and friggin' loves it.
  6. I recently made the switch from Android (Galaxy S6) to iPhone 8+. Long story short; among LG, HTC, Samsung, and Apple I don't think there's a "bad" phone available among the flagship models. It's all down to how you use it and how the phone fits with your life. iP8+ has been great for me, I'm sure I would not have been crushed if I had gotten a GS8+ or Note8, or Pixel2XL. It's all just down to artistry at this point.
  7. Really anyone who can tell me about the company culture. I have a meeting with someone who is a Constellation Beer Brand manager about a sales position. Not a lot of description in the posting but it's an industry I really am interested in. Not looking for anyone to stick their neck out for me, just want to get an honest opinion of the company and how they enjoy their job (or not).
  8. Anyone know an employee there? Need a contact. Thanks!
  9. https://www.juniperrooftop.com/ roof of the Smith Bros building. My fiancée went to a networking event there recently and said it was amazing.
  10. If you haven't reached out to Harold re: basement tile. you should. he can probably also help design the gun room. his background is in design.
  11. I would also ask: where do you see your end game? Do you want to hold CISSP cert and be a security consultant? Do you want to do networking, whether on your own or for a big multinational corp? Your end goal may not be where you actually end up, but it will at least shape your initial direction.
  12. What do you want to do? If you want to work for a big corporation with a huge budget and regulations out the ass, get CCNA and go down the Cisco path. If you want to work at a small/midsize business that's more personal, with a bit more freedom and the ability to potentially start your own business down the line, go for Microsoft certs. The SMB world lives and breathes Microsoft, especially Office 365. Security + will be much more useful in the coming years. IMO there's more job security in CCNA but likely a better quality of life argument for MS certs.
  13. fixed (i think) Also this thread is a perfect example of why our political system is so completely fucked. People vote based on who supports/opposes it rather than reading it themselves and determining the merit of the bill without the partisan noise.
  14. https://ballotpedia.org/Ohio_Issue_1,_Crime_Victim_Rights_Initiative_(2017) Some important points: "NO" supporters say this violates the Bill of Rights, as it allows victims to refuse to turn over evidence (not against themselves) and would increase the burden on taxpayers. But ACLU supports NO. WAT DO???
  15. When my old boss and I were still both salesmen trying to figure out of we hated each other or not, he overheard me say "worst case ontario" one time. He came over to me and asked if i was just retarded or a TPB fan. Made a new friend that day.
  16. What's amazing is that John Dunsworth didn't drink. How a sober person could play such a believable drunk is beyond me. They should make that its own award category. http://i.imgur.com/OoPUayf.png
  17. I always go to the bill sponsors to see what's what and this one appears to be special interests vs politicians so we're basically screwed either way. I'd rather be screwed with lower drug prices.
  18. Even if they take a commission, BJackson or Mecum will be able to help him cash in on the frenzy for rare classics like that. Especially for an emotional car like that, it would probably help to have some separation.
  19. Someone admitting fault on CR? Stop the thread, CR has peaked, time to shut 'er down. I'm not some sort of staunch defender of Mandalay Bay, I exaggerate to make the point that assuming fault, assuming what is deserved, and assuming motivations of anyone (shooter, victims, gub'mnt, etc) is foolish at this point. Everyone exhale, spend your time being introspective rather than accusatory.
  20. I would love for you to explain to me, in any terms shy of the shooter walking through the hotel with an obvious restricted (SBR, etc) firearm, how Mandalay Bay could have been negligent. Open carry is permitted in Nevada. He could've walked through the lobby with every single gun on display and it would be perfectly legal for him to have done so. The NRA has worked very hard to ensure that. Mandalay Bay has a no firearms policy, but it's private property and all they could charge him with is trespassing if they know about the guns. I suppose if they setup metal detectors at every entrance and screened every single guest, they could've prevented this. I'm sure you would love to book a stay in a hotel that did that, right?
  21. I wish we could have mandatory remedial critical thinking classes to help out with shit like this
  22. Video is owned by Mandalay Bay, why do you think you have a right to see what someone else was doing on private property? Just because someone was accused of a crime? Innocent until proven guilty. That's why they do the investigation. That's why they don't comment. That's why they don't release evidence EDIT: unless it's entered into the public record or assists in investigations that have otherwise run their course.
  23. I had typed out more but realized it would probably be taken politically and decided to remove it all but what you quoted.
