Necrobump for anyone who gives a fuck: Finally caved and bought a new retail copy of Windows 10 Pro in case the fault was with the mobo and I needed to replace that, since I think OEM copies consider a new mobo a "new device" and won't transfer. Removed Win10 Home OS SSD from the tower, asked a friend to run killdisk on it to get it properly wiped. Installed Win10 Pro on cleanly formatted 128GB SSD, currently restoring old programs and files from file level backups, but it's running like a dream and no page fault errors or other memory related crap to speak of yet. I'm guessing with the overall number of times i've seen similar issues pop up in google searches, this just had something to do with the free Win7->10 upgrade. Solution: Fresh Windows 10 install on a fresh hard drive.

I've never understood why someone thinks the seller should pay for the privilege of someone's attention who is already interested in the car. If you're too cheap to shell out $50 for a month of carfaxes while you're looking on CL, you're not a car buyer I feel like dealing with.

Every sold car is an opportunity for something faster, weirder, fancier, whatever. Sold cars professionally for 6 years and it was a fantastic part of my life. People in car sales get to experience other people at their worst, at their most elated, and everything in between.

When you're looking at venues, tell them you're putting together a family reunion or company outing or something. As soon as the word "wedding" drops, everything gets exponentially more expensive.

I do consulting/account management for a managed services provider that works with a ton of attorneys locally and across the eastern U.S. Best divorce attorney I know of is Doug Dougherty. He's a super nice, easygoing guy that you'll probably want to be friends with. I never knew this before I started working with him, but he actually represented the mother of a friend of mine who was involved in a very ugly divorce. I would find out what after-sale services may be included with a purchase from a MB dealership. There may be real value to transacting with a franchised dealer. Personally I would never buy a luxury vehicle like that from a dealer that doesn't have the name on the building. Do they farm out the work to MB or do it themselves?
