  1. I'll see what I can get as far as referrals. I haven't bought any Amish furniture myself, a majority of my furniture is hand-me-down from my folks who live in New England and it's all handmade Vermont hardwood. Typically similar, maybe slightly worse in terms of workmanship than the Amish, but you really can't beat that northeast oak and pine timber for longevity. My fiancée's family lives in Mansfield and always say they get great deals on Amish furniture, I'll try to find out where when I visit them for Memorial Day.
  2. Drive to Polaris and wait in traffic for 2 hours to buy a flimsy POS you need to assemble and won't survive a dog farting on it, OR drive an hour north of Polaris and buy whatever you need from the Amish, already assembled, for a fraction of the price and it'll survive small nuclear blasts.
  3. Bought this from Clay 2 years ago. Was great for my old house with a smaller yard, new yard is bigger and rougher/inclined so I got a new mower. 21" 7hp briggs & stratton FWDLOL w/mulch and bag options. Doesn't mulch super well, the front right wheel inside cover is partially missing and grass likes to clog it up when mulching, so I always bagged it. Needs a tune up, but starts, runs, cuts and bags as of last week. Ryobi CS30 weed eater needs a cleanup, I can get it running at half choke. TL;DR old mower that needs a tune up, slightly newer weed eater that needs a tune up. Great for small yards, wouldn't use it for anything large. PM, email caxidea@gmail.com, text 614-499-1112 all good ways to get ahold of me. $80obo EDIT pic: http://imgur.com/N8KnsNRl.jpg http://imgur.com/N8KnsNR Updated
  4. Government's gonna shut down the exit to serve the needs of the corporation. Just like they named a street and put up a sign to serve the needs of the corporation. I get it, some jobs are created, commerce is good for the area, they're making use of the former blight that was Polaris Amphitheater, no tax incentives etc. But I think it's unreasonable to ask local taxpayers to accept that they can't use the roads their tax dollars pay to maintain to accommodate the needs of the corporation.
  5. "hey boss, there's gonna be way too many goddamn people in the area for ikea, what do we do for the people who live here?" "fuck 'em, shut down the highway exits and tell them to go the long way 'round." "should we really be putting the needs of a multinational multibillion dollar corporation over the needs of local citizens" "THAT SOUNDS LIKE COMMIE TALK TO ME"
  6. Harnesses reinforce rather than dissuade the dog's instinct to chase after everything that moves. spike or choke collars very quickly and humanely (if used properly) train the dog that not chasing or pulling is in their best interest. We have an italian greyhound that can and will chase anything off leash. when he's on the leash, he stays within 5 feet of us on a solid leather leash (retractable ones are junk). Imagine you're wearing a vest with a cable tied to the back, and there's a pile of a million dollars just out of reach. you're going to do absolutely everything in your power to break through that thing, and you're going to keep pulling until you're dead or dragged away from that pile of a million dollars. now put your fingers just below your ears and slightly behind your jawbone and apply pressure. feel how uncomfortable that is? if every time you pulled towards that pile of money, you felt something applying increasing pressure to that area, how long would it take you to stop pulling and fighting to get to that pile of money? 5 seconds? 10 seconds? try it. apply increasing pressure to that area for 10 seconds and see if you can stand it. That's what a choke collar does. It's not torturing the dog, it's training it proper behavior. it teaches it that no matter how much it desires what is in front of it, it's better off just letting it go while he's on the leash. The harness just trains the dog to resist your commands, to fight you, and to prioritize its own desires over yours.
  7. As a guy who currently works in IT, came from the car business, has a dog but hates dubstep, I resent that. Especially because every professional review I've ever had has suggested I find ways to more eloquently confront people who take issue with me.
  8. MSF used to run the Motorcycle Ohio program, it's been taken over by a new organization. The friend that's an instructor said that the new format is much more about training the skills as applied to real life situations rather than just the skills themselves. I haven't taken the new version so I can't personally attest.
  9. Yeah that shit's like $300, the Motorcycle Ohio course is $50
  10. Putting that shit in writing was the dumbest thing they could've done.
  11. http://www.motorcycle.ohio.gov/basic_rider.stm TL;DR you probably can't use a trike. If/when you do the course, try to snag one of the standard-style bikes. So much easier to do the maneuverability than the cruisers. EDIT: Also, FULL FACE HELMET. A client/friend of mine is an instructor and a few weeks ago he saw 2 people eat shit face first on the quick-stop test after locking up the rears. Said both of them would be getting new jaws if it weren't for full face helmets.

  13. I can't remember if I ever submitted my paperwork, but in my teens I got certified all the way up to Rescue Diver. I strongly recommend it to anyone. I've been in underwater caves, shipwrecks that have turned into coral reefs, shipwrecks 2 miles out into blue water and 100 feet down, through airplane wrecks (at night, no less), I've seen barracuda bigger longer than I am tall, I've seen fish sleeping. If you think the underwater universe is exciting from what you see in documentaries, just wait until you're up close with a curious reef shark at 11pm.
  14. That's why it typically makes sense for luxury cars. You get all the new bells and whistles when they come out, you never are out of warranty, and when it's over you're not worrying about how inflated your residual was compared to actual cash value.
  15. I'm really interested to hear from an S8 owner about the fingerprint scanner placement. I am not a big fan of the backside placement like on the Pixel or LG phones, but I would probably get used to it. on the S8 it seems like I'd end up smudging the camera lens every 5 minutes.
  16. Leasing is typically most advantageous when you're a business owner (you can write it off as operating expense) or when you're looking at luxury cars/vehicles with steep depreciation curves. A rule of thumb for leasing is if your lease payment is ~1% of MSRP with minimal money down, that's a GREAT lease deal. Most cars won't get to that range.
  17. As of Friday they were planning on consolidating a majority of their stores and still liquidating lots of stuff, but Columbus wasn't on the chopping block just yet. Looks like today they decided to just go totally tits up and close down completely.
  18. There was some hope for them to keep some stores alive prior to the weekend, but it looks like as of today they are planning to close all of their stores. I've read online that a lot of their shooting-related merch is not heavily discounted, but their other stuff is. http://www.gandermountain.com/ EDIT: adding new info, looks like I jumped the gun. http://nbc4i.com/2017/05/08/new-gander-mountain-owner-says-reports-of-store-closures-are-untrue/ I bet Camping World CEO is nice and pissed at the liquidation company right now
  19. All the guys claiming that with basic mods are usually trying to sell their cars within a month or two of making such claims :lolguy:
  20. Are you planning to DIY? If not, I have a great contractor to recommend. Harold Davis, Creative Services LTD. Dude was a graphic designer before he started contracting, so he has the unique ability to put what goes on in his head to paper, then put that to practice. I'm in a networking group with him and everyone that hires him raves about him.
  21. I'm S6 non-edge. Played with the edge versions and hated that I was always randomly pressing shit. If you can, hold out for the Pixel 2 and iPhone 8 or whatever they call it. Should be very competitive phones.
  22. TRD pro doesn't even need mods, that thing's offroad ready
  23. i lost it in a cloud of vape smoke #vapeception
