  1. But with the same lame 5 speed auto they are going to limit torque input into the trans so it will not be nearly as fast as it could be (not better than the current motors with the same 5 speed auto). Its advertised hp will be higher, but it will never show up.

    Not a problem Brian!
  3. We use purple power, it works great.
  4. I've done a few sets of the Jeg's gears now without noise. I still recommend motorsports, but on a budget the jegs gears work well.

    iTunes Alternative

I use Itunes on 3 computers with 1 Ipod, it works fine. You can set Itunes up to allow you to choose the music you want on the Ipod etc..
  6. NX makes on now Dave, jegs should have it in stock http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_333414_-1
  7. He isn't lying when he says thaw it. If it isn't 100% thawed you will have a huge fire. I would suggest trying to find Alton Browns episode of Good Eats; he goes over the specifics of everything, it's very informative.
  8. Its a 351 based motor (357") with a precision GT4788, and yes in the summer I drive it every day (I put 9500 miles on it this summer). It made 640rwhp on pump gas and 10psi with some issues, it will make 700rwhp or so on 10psi this spring. If I want to turn it up everything is capable of 850+rwhp, but I wont do that until I can use what I have. The car went 10.40's@ 138mph @ 550rwhp a few years back. With that turbo you guys will have to run a TON of boost to get over 600rwhp, unless it has a really well flowing combo and the correct camshaft, and in that case the p-trim turbine will be to small which will still make it really hard to get over 600rwhp and not destroy itself. I'm guessing thats a PT64-pt67 or something similar. It will be a fun street car, I've done a few cars with PTK setups with PT64E's that made good power (low 500's) on stock shortblock. I had the same turbo on my Gen 1 Lightning (My old daily driver) and made 570/700 @ 17psi or so. My dad now has a Gen 1 I built for him with a similar setup and a pt64e that makes 500rwhp/650rwtq @ 14psi.
  9. Well in that case, my car has a Ford production block in it and is my daily driver in the summer. We'll just do it for fun at Norwalk in the spring, sound good?
  10. Nah, I have a few customers cars that would want to race (I can think of a Incon dart block 347 that would be a good match).
  11. We'll have to have a shop vs shop turbomustang shootout in the spring.
  12. It sounds like you had it seated, could you have damaged the front seal? What converter are you using? If converter spun freely then it almost had to have been engaged. You want 3/16" to 1/8" of converter spacing. You can remove the front pump and pull it apart, but it does take a tool to put it back together (just a large band to align the halves). If you are not comfortable with transmissions then I would suggest having a trans shop look at it, but it sounds more like you have a front seal issue, or a drain plug in the converter that got left out (though I would assume you have a PI multi-disk, and if you don't you should )
  13. Typically if they do not seat it destroys the front pump in the trans on first startup. Thats why you ALWAYS check converter clearence to the flywheel, even if its the same trans/converter, though on 4r70w's it is very apparent when the converter isnt seated because you cannot get the transmission to sit flush against the block without pulling it in with bolts (which should never be done). Rob
  14. Yeah multiple times. Just not when they slam into mountains.
  15. I've done just about every kit out there and made a few. You need to give more details.

    TT Stang on evilbay

Fords standard base EFI pressure from 1987-2004 was 39.5psi for return and electric returnless systems, FWIW.
  17. A 10 second stock SHORTblock car isnt a big deal (though it is risky ) Its going 10's with stock E7 heads, cam, and intake thats tricky.
  18. Stock shortblock or stock engine? We always used to hit a wall at around 11.40's where we couldnt get them to pick up no matter how much we sprayed. Granted this was with full weight cars that where pretty much bone stock save for exhaust and CAI's.
  19. From what I've worked with the MP GT45 units are good to under 700rwhp on a 302, its a S4 turbine wheel which flows fairly well, but its a 68mm inducer on the compressor side which is limiting on a 302. It's nothing like the garrett GT4508R, but it is a nice turbo on a budget. The closest true garrett counterpart would be a GT4094.
  20. Looks good, you'll want a 3.27 gear or a 3.55, that 4.10 is going to kill you.
  21. Well, the stats don't lie. Saying 'everything' is a little overboard, but the Steelers did outplay them.
  22. The steelers outplayed the shit out of the Browns. The Browns got lucky on a few plays and scored some points. Pits 401 total yards to Browns 163, more 3rd down conversions by far, more time of possesion; Browns only had 40 total rushing yards.
