  1. I live right off 3 on Jonathan Noble and woke up to the same thing. Plus a Abandoned vehicle ticket? This was on an SUV that is driven everyday. Ticket was issued at 4am.
  2. Be aware of some issues with the KB kits on the 2v cars, they bypass draws from one bank which causes the trims to be off excessively. We have successfully tuned a handful of them however there are more we had to work around because closed loop wasn't going to work when the trims are pegged in opposite directions. KB doesn't accept this as a problem but it is and the cause is very obvious and very difficult to fix.
  3. $6,000 into modifications to make power will lead to another $6,000 in making the rest of the drivetrain handle the power, folowed by $3,000 to make the chassis handle it. Then follow that up with another $6,000 once you have a strong drivetrain and the power you have isnt enough. I would suggest a supercharger with 6-7psi and call it a day with money left over.
  4. $200-$300 for a "private" track time with some higher hp cars would be fun. I dont know how great I feel going 140+ at MCIR however, at 138 it was scary.

    Dream Job

I'm jealous, that kicks ass Doug. Congrats!
  6. What happened to respect? What does it look like to the rest of the world when we are booing our president?

  8. I have a brand new NTK L2H2 (same as the L1H1) for sale. I sold the wideband I had that used them and forgot I had extra sensors. New they are ~$185 I'm asking $125.
  9. I use United Tax and accounting in Reynoldsburg. I've used him the last 3 years and every year he has saved me a bunch of money.

    Cobra Timing Cover

That's weird. Do you have the valve covers off all the way? I have never had a front cover stick on a mod motor. They only use a small amount of silicon in a few spots and I've never had the dowels stick.
  11. Does the oil pressure increase quickly when you rev it? That's not an abnormal oil pressure for hot idle, depending on how the motor is set up.
  12. I would like to be confident that our missile defense system functions correctly, testing it when its needed and having a failure would be bad. I would rather them work the bugs out now.
  13. hydrazine is some nasty shit, I wouldn't want it anywhere near me or anyone else, not to mention 1,000lbs of it. This is a test of our systems in the real world, something we don't get to do often. If we miss it will look VERY bad, but they said they will consider a second shot if we do miss. The funny part is the system in infrared based and the satellite is pretty cold.
  14. What turbos where they? It seems kinda laggy. Not bad numbers at 9psi however. I think with a smaller a/r or smaller turbine in general the torque could get over 500 much lower in the RPM band.
  15. I have a brand new Vortech FMU here for $75. It's for an injected car, dont know if it will work with what you are trying to do.

What? Thats odd, they have a ton of 220v stuff on their web page.

    WTB tig welder

You already called Industrial Machine? Typically if they dont have one they can find one in a few weeks. There is also a place like Industrial Machine in Cleveland that typically has TIG's, I forget what they are called however.
  18. When talking about engine control, yes, however as I stated they dont offer the frills you get with aftermarket ECU's. Now some of the more compicated stand alones come really close, but they are not something the average consumer would use anyhow.
  19. The GM PCM is more tunable than ANY aftermarket ECU, it just doesnt have the "frills" (2 steps, boost controllers etc). As far as total control of the engine given any enviromental situation the OEM's do it better. A lot of faster carb cars don't even use Holleys (though a lot use carbs based on Holley), but they where used for so long that there will always be a large market for them.
  20. 3492 millikin crt in columbus, just off roberts rd.
  21. I'm no longer going to be in the business. Lasota Racing will still do tuning, however I am closing the installation side of the business. I'm finishing what is at the shop now (which will take about a month) however I am not scheduling anything new. We've stayed really busy over the last few years thanks to a lot of you however I have made the decision to pursue some other avenues.
