This was fun, thanks. Need to get the car count up for the next one!
-
What time does the ODRA stuff start? Think there will be a decent turnout for the Real street class?
-
I'm planning on coming up. Will they be running the real street and outlaw street? are the new MT's OK in the 275 class?
-
I have some random uppers with decent poly bushings you can have for $20 if you pick them up. I just threw my old lowers away
-
I would rather sell it all together, no interest in all of it? I am negotiable.
Phone is (740) 971-4901
Thanks,
Rob

Picked these up in a trade and know nothing about cameras, I am lucky to be able to turn it on. It is a camera bag with a Nikon D100 in good shape, a D300 in decent shape with a few scratches on the back LCD screen. The camera bag is a Lowepro that holds everything.
2 batteries for the D100
4 batteries for the D300
The flash is a Speedlight SB-800
There are 6 lenses total, most would need some work/repair
Nikon AF Micro 105mm - OK shape, looks functional and the lenses look clean
Tokina EL 28mm - Good shape
Tamron SP AF aspherical Di 17-35mm - somethine is broken in this one
Nikon DX SWM VR ED IF Aspherical 72 - Front lens has some nicks/scratches
Nikon AF Nikkor 18-35mm - Some scratches on the front lens
Nikon AF Nikkor 70-210mm - this on is in good shape, it has some sort of filter on the front of it (Quantaray?)
Like I said I know NOTHING about this stuff, if you want to check it out we can meet up. I'd like $1000 out of it but I'm open to offers.
-
The bolt pattern was off for the 05? If they are 5x4.5 then they are correct and I'll take them! Shoot me a PM and we can figure out where to meet up.
-
Did you ever figure this out? If they are 6.5" bs I'll take them.
-
I cant make this one I'll be at the last one in september though.
-
You sure you know both sides of the story? I've known Tom for years and he is a very stand up guy who is a VERY good mechanic.
-
I'll be there again in my silver convertible! Hopefully home before 2am this time!
-
Welp it ended up being 1 plug that I closed the gap to tight without opening it up when I was gapping them. Had it almost 100% closed. I regapped all them to .35 and now she runs great.
Do you remember setting it that low? Pre-ignition will close a plug in a hurry.
-
Could it just be fouling the TR-6's? You sure those are the correct plug?
-
Why not that's what I run on my car? I drive on them to the track 45 minute commute and to car shows. 275-60-15. I will be heading that way sometime, but will not buy new tires to compete.
Because it wasnt listed in the rules, thats why I asked. I've ran them for years.
-
All of the class racing is 1/8th mile I assume? Im planning on being there the 29th, hopefully the turnout is good.
275's aloud in real street?
-
Make sure to come out when we are there. Its more like street racing then.

I'll come to the next event, didnt realize they have a 6.50 index class. Is it normal friday prep with the street cars tearing the track up? Decent 275 turnout?
-
They didnt think my mustang was exotic
-
6500 would work. The intake isnt going to make power much past 5200 or so anyway.
-
I would hope not considering the NOP race is this Saturday at trails.
-
When I was flying a lot I never spent more than 20 minutes getting to my gate, less if I used curb side check or had nothing to check. I'd say an hour would be enough.
-
It's not for bragging rights if your going class racing.
-
Nice numbers, you planning on pushing it harder later? I'd expect 1100+ with that turbo
-
There is normally 5-10* of dwell, thats why you use a piston stop and not a dial indicator. All that matters is thats the timing pointer points to the TDC mark on the balancer when the piston is at TDC.
-
I'm saying you need to verify the TDC mark on the balancer. Using a piston stop is the best way to do it. If you arent sure how then use Google and figure it out. It is very common for them to be off, I've seen them 30+ degrees off with aftermarket cranks and balancers.
Just a reminder. ODRA/MCIR this friday!

It's more fun that way.......just don't lift. I still had a few low 1.4 60's on a 10.5 and on 275's, but when it got out of the groove, hang on!
Ohh and we should do a tow vehicle race instead of power wheels at the next one, $100 buy in.
