As I looked at the list (a very short list) of people registered for Norwalk in September, I thought wow here we go again! This is supposed to be a car forum with people who like to race? What a disappointment. Everytime Ant puts his time & effort in for this he's begging for folks to register. Norwalks one of the "BEST" dragstrips I've been to, no worries about police, tickets, just watch the tree & GO. My hats off to you Anthony as you have major patience -

Back on topic? Buffalo, NY & Fayetteville, NC vie for the "armpits of the world". I lived in both places & hated everyday -

Cranky Neighbors???? Now I've got cranky neighbors! Don't move to Powell, 90% of the neighbors are absolutely nuts! They don't want dogs, noise, fast cars or bikes, NO working in your OWN garage after 8:00 pm & again no noise, trash cans are to be hidden behind your house until trash day, no parties unless parents are holding a communion or something, don't even think of crossing your street to see a neighbor you like (that 10% category) with an open beer, list goes on & on. I look forward to selling house next spring - I'm going to look at rural northern Delaware Cnty, something rural for sure with at least 10 acres / no close neighbors for me anymore -

Don't forget we were only helping Britain against Germany. Then the Japanese attacked & killed thousands @ Pearl Harbor, while our ships were at anchor & our military was sleeping! It certainly gave our politicians the reason to enter the war, which is what they wanted anyway. I agree with earlier comments, dropping the bomb saved thousands of american lives & shortened the war & yep it gave Russia cause to back off & look at us as a serious military might they decided NOT to mess with, ergo the freedom we continue to enjoy today. FYi - I have matching Remington's / 700 BDL's / 7mm rem mag & 30.06. They shoot flat & I normally hit what I'm aiming at - I also have had no problems with either rifle - & I've owned for years.

I'm one of those guys that work at an auto dealership - This $250 doc fee helps a dealership in defraying costs assoc with sales, ie we MUST now verify with the FEds "OFAC" list as we aren't allowed to sell to a suspected terrorist? we also have to comply & satisfy the requirements to Fair & Accurate credit transactions act & the fair credit reporting act to name a few. So before you start threads on certain business's best to think about that? Do we have threads on ALL business's? Lets certainly get a thread going on Doctors & Attorneys too??? Every business open for profit is just that, probably where you work they operate at a profit too, margins for business's today are getting thinner & thinner as well -

I went over to Hyde Park for a late dinner last night & to my surprise drove right into a laid back car show! People were in lawn chairs just lining the street!!! I watched a few of the cars go by & many were just awesome / a mint '62 vette, 60's era Shelby Cobra, '66 - '70 Chevelle's with all the various power plants, Mustangs from mid 60's, mopars, an orange Judge GTO. To name only a few - Great dinner, great show. Afterward on the way home I even played (just a little) with a quick Porsche & a black '04 (I think) GTO - Not really racing just playing -

Just came back from there couple weeks ago. I stayed at Cedar Falls Inn & Cabins! I don't know if pets are ok or not, but the cabins were very cool, secluded, hiking trails everywhere - I'd recommend them to anyone -

Atomic Fusion / how do you like your car? Anything about it you don't like? I ask because I've been looking pretty seriously at these & though the price is up there the car has my attention -

1) there are too many laws, & state & federal authorities getting all tangled into issues they shouldn't. 2) Outlaw sport bikes? whats next? they've already pushed smokers over the edge. Maybe next they'll look into outlawing sports cars, fast cars. We'd all be driving electric cars if it weren't for politics surrounding the planets oil? 3) Cops? I'm old school, I try to remember that there has to be a few ethical, real police officers left -

I too will pray - I just lost my wife last February to Cancer. She was lucky as God took her quickly eliminating days & days of pain. If she's terminally ill, quick is better & more dignified. Unfortunately though - the loss of a loved one just sucks. You go on living one day at a time - Enjoy whatever time there is that you can have with your Aunt -

Vinny - yeah I was lucky & didn't realize it. I was 16 yrs old in 1968 so I lived thru & enjoyed the cars & power of the 60's -
