  1. Brandon - the '02 is basically stock? has hurst short throw shifter, borla exhaust, k&n air intake, & dyno'ed putting about 390 hp to the rear wheels. Best time ever was a 12.47 in the qtr. Great car for someone with only 36,650 miles - Mike - YES, plz come & let me show off. Obviously we should post some pix here & perhaps ya can update my avatar etc. FYI, Sunday not a good day as my house will be rockin for the Steeler SB -
  2. Vinny - yep the one on there web page is the "blubllt". Man I hope this new one is as trouble free as that C5 was -
  3. I'm not computer literate? I'll get Marc or Rick to do some pix wants spring gets here & I can get her out of the garage - I only drove it home a whopping 28 miles? Spring can't here fast enuff ----
  4. After searching the web, my checkbook, etc. I found a deal I couldn't pass up! Bought a 2009 victory red Z06 with only 3950 miles on the clock. It's in my garage & makes my heart race just lookin at it - I was sad to leave my '02 as she'd been a great partner for 7 years. Coughlin Chevy in Pataskala great Chevy store!
  5. Sorry Packer Backers, Steelers will prevail again - that is all
  6. Jason? "D" plan???? lol. For now it appears I'm leaning toward the C6 Z06, but due to tax implications, I'm probably gonna wait til this time next year - I don't think I could go wrong with either car / But I've been driving that Z06 I have for over 7 years, she's never let me down & the cost to maintain her has been very fair. The input from everyone on this thread has been outstanding and informative - Thx Guys
  7. Man I was waiting for your post Marc!!! lol
  8. I think I'll drive the Shelby today, that'll tell me a lot -
  9. I have to say = I never expected the responses I've recieved here! Thought opinions might be mixed, but didn't think the overwhelming votes would be toward the Z06 without question. I have driven the C6 Z06 & of course fell head over heels for it. Haven't driven the Shelby yet, plan I plan on doing that - Guess if I go the Z06 path again, I'll be buying next fall (my tax complications lessen dramatically).
  10. Yeah I've been watching (for like a year). Economy still sucks, &&& oh by the way I just started a new jobbie at a (FORD) store, which is why the Shelby caught my eye & curiosity
  11. I appreciate the opinions - we'll see. It still comes down to $$$$, but yeah a used low miler Z06 is a possibility too - Thx Guys
  12. Been longing for a new Z06 but haven't pulled trigger due to COST. Now I've checked out the new 2011 Shelby Cobra which isn't cheap, but it's definately got my attention. My perception is: * Z06 delivers more top end * Z06 has a lil better creature comforts * Shelby with 3.73 rear end is gonna run low low 12's in the qtr mile (pretty quick for an ol man like me) Cost difference is huge. And the Shelby is a limited production car. With a sticker of $55,000 you're getting a lot for your money - Honest opinions are appreciated.
  13. Never been a Ford guy, but I've got to admit - they do sound good & it's obvious they're "in the game"
  14. Thx Brandon, I'll keep in touch -
  15. Thanks for the info & input guys. Don't know what I'm gonna do yet, but boy do I have the new vette "bug" ---- Either way 2009 or 2010 / they're big bucks
  16. I drove a new 09 Z06. Car is much improved over my 2002, more refined, more creature comforts, & of course more power. But the 2010 has "launch control"! So my question is just how good is this launch control? reliable? is it worth it to consider the 2010 rather than stealing a 2009? Not buying one yet, but very interested -
  17. I'm into my 7th year owning my Z06 I did have a 1988 Chevy Suburban that I drove (with no problem) for 8 yrs Now I'm vascillating over the new & improved Z06? lol
  18. Oh boy, he's seriously looking at 'em -
  19. Holocaust? Man what a comeback! There is no response to that -
  20. Looks very nice! I boated for many years & retain fond memories of days on the water with my family - Here's .02 more cents (not that you haven't heard enough already)? * keep a good base of wax on her, especially the bottom of the hull, it helps keep the algae off WHICH LOOKS LIKE SHIT & WILL SLOW YOUR BOAT DOWN * buy a spare prop & store in the boat, nothing worse than hitting bottom in error & having prop all mangled, out of balance, & not working &&&& you're miles from land? * boat insurance is really cheap, they'll pay for hull damage etc (BUY IT) * someone posted earlier that you should take her out on a week day to get used to launching / they're CORRECT. Also always remember when launching = first establish your routine for launching & stick with it, second always have a line attached to boat with other end in your HAND, you'll never lose the boat regardless of conditions on the water / & NEVER EVER try to launch in a hurry. You may want to practice backing up with the trailer too? * store some tools in your boat, just basic stuff ie wrenches, screw driver, hammer (if you get mad at it) Happy Boating!
  21. ha ha true story / actually I just tried to start a "new" post but I think my son (angry bmw) has this pc messed up -
  22. I haven't posted but I read the board all the time - I only post when I have something to say that (I think) has some content in it that others might like to read - lol
  23. We all rave about Andys work! My turn / he did the vette while I was away on vaca with the family. The cars an '02 & looks brand new!!! Thanks Andy for the on going meticulous detailing you do --- I wouldn't want anyone touching my car but HIM!!!!! Thanks again - Tom
  24. Well I'm frightened about this whole mess. I think that dude is crazy enuff to try it and then we've no choice but to defend ourselves & we already know our allies by & large will not help or stand by us - pretty scary to me -
