  1. Again Jason / congrats, I'm very happy for you. In near future on my way to paradise one Wed afternoon, I'll get off rt 33 & stop in to say hello!
  2. Damn I'm old!!!!!!!! Got my license in 1968, Sunoco leaded 110 octane cost .32 a gallon, regular ran around .27 a gallon. My 1st brand new car was a 1972 Datsun B210, I could fill it from empty for like $3.25!!!!!!!!!! & yes I DO remember those days - they are now GONE forever ----
  3. & I thought we were already living in HELL??????????????
  4. This is pretty good, I'm with Austin yeah shoot it twice!! Ha ha
  5. I figured they'd show up last night, I left at 11:30 so I fortunately missed them. West Side sounds like it has possibilities -
  6. I just accept the "drive thru" thing as just another daily challenge. What pushes me over the line are the ass clowns in the grocery stores in the "10 items or less lane" doing their weekly food purchase of $200 + just calmly placing their items on the counter being oblivious (but knowing damn well what they're doing) & of course the store will not enforce their rule. Sometimes I make sure to embarrass them & even show them the sign, of course this always results in a verbal altercation with the store clerk privately thanking me afterward. It's a hassle so I only do it when I have the time & I'm really getting pissed & annoyed -
  7. my bad - I should've spell (new) KNEW!
  8. I thought everyone new (now) / LS6 rules - period. (except for maybe the LS7, schools still out on that one) -
  9. I got a ride yesterday in a friend of mines (totally restored, chassis off) 1969 Roadrunner with a 440, 2 four barrel carb set up "Beast". Having had the distinct opportunity to have actually lived & driven in the "60's", my mind went back in time (when he put the pedal to the floor & promptly put my head into the headrest) & I thought about the racing terms used then & today = 1960's 2006 We'll go from a 20-40 mph "kick-down" 20-40 mph "roll" Ok you & me, rt 909, standing start Ok you & me from a "dig" Dead mans curve? Didn't happen cars THEN Lets do IT / Twisties DID NOT HANDLE, stop, turn, they just went Autocross fast - straight - period Fast 1/4 mile with carbs, headers, slicks Hmmmmm ya best be (we call 'em drag radials today), 4.11 rear able to hit high 11's or end, positraction, etc. Fast was anything less turning 13.9 & less!!!!!! If your car did 14.50 people DID NOT laugh at you! Fuel - you ran Sunoco at least 110 octane Nitrous anyone? Race Gas cost was expensive, typically .30 a gallon I just paid $2.70 a gallon Never heard or knew the fuckin word = for Sunoco 93 Octane NITROUS???? yesterday!!!! Times have changed -
  10. Uhhhhh as mentioned earlier / even though she didn't sign it, why did she marry him anyway? Guys a nut case. I don't feel sorry for her - What a world we live in??? Yoy
  11. I don't know whats in it? I just re-use Dr Z 06's because if it was good enough for him (the 1st time) it has to be more than the manufacturers specs even in use the 2nd time, plus its changed every 3,000 miles - Haaaaaaaa
  12. Welcome, I agree with above. Keep good distance from dump trucks & stuff & your front end will be fine. Otherwise the paint will dis color over time (unless you remove periodically) which becomes a pain in the ass -
  13. Ant - as always it's a pleasure for me to drive "behind" you!!!!! I luv how that car sounds -
  14. Eh--- not everyone is an asshole????? Anyways - welcome aboard
  15. Well, if she doesn't call you back by say 11:00 tomorrow morning? It's time to dust off resume & start looking for new job. Nobody works for free & if your employer isn't taking the time or responsibility to pay its employees what they've "EARNED", its time to move on. What would really suck - what if you had a HUGE bonus you'd earned & they weren't paying you????? Now that paints a whole different picture. I believe in being proactive NOT reactive - hope that helps.
  16. As I've re-read this & as much fun as I think it would be / I may re-tract my original offer because I don't "beat" my car. Additionally I'm sure I don't possess quite the driving skills of others in this thread, I would definately be interested in watching this shoot though ---
  17. If it's a Sunday I could participate if you need another vette. Austin & I both have the electron blue one's. Yeah we aren't "fast" like Sam & the good Dr, but they're vettes -
  18. Sorry Marc, I should've said something to you / I actually interviewed with them approx 5 years ago, it's a definate scam - you'll personally pay some serious dough yourself before you EVER start earning anything. Appears it takes a year or so of making nothing, spending your time then (maybe) you have enough of a client base to actually earn a living. Most folks that try it don't have enough $$$ or assets to hold them while they're in the initial phase & of course they leave with nothing --
  19. I'm with Austin & the Good Dr. with my 2002! Originally Posted by Dr. ZO6 $52K in 2003. Adjusted for mine.

    Greetings!

Very nice cars! Welcome aboard -
  21. whats wrong with vw's?????? Nothing wrong with them (if you like them). They are expensive to repair BOTH parts & labor, they're slow & expensive to mod. Again if you like yours (Great), perhaps yours is one that was built well - I had some bad experiences with them in the past -

    Whats up

Not a VW fan, but your car looks pretty cool. Welcome aboard -
