Damn, someone else got a new GTI, now I'm not unique anymore. ContiPro Contacts, or whatever the hell they are, are what came on my car. They're all-season and I'm just gonna leave them on for the winter. I figure they'll do just fine. Maybe in the spring I'll get some summer tires. If you're really worried about driving in snow, you could get a set of snow tires or all-seasons to give you some security. You definitely don't wanna drive on those performance tires. But, looking out for the other drivers around you is a must in Columbus, no matter what the weather is like.

I heard on Bob and Tom this morning that someone made a documentary about a man who was killed by a horse while it was riding him. It's going to be shown at the Sundance festival as a tribute to him lol.

Then, long after we're all dead, it'll go back to the way it is now and has been for the last few centuries. It's just a big cycle until the world ends or someone nukes our ass, whichever comes first.

Luckily it'll probably be all rain by the time it gets here.

Thanks for the messages, folks. Bad to hear about the tires, I do believe they are the Pro's. They came with a warranty, though, so I'm covered on them. Also, I don't like leather seats, especially VW leather seats. The cloth seats are comfortable as hell, and very firm/supportive. I think I got a good deal on the car, 2 grand under Blue Book value, actually. Plus, with the College Grad Program, I got a sweet interest rate so my monthly payment is under what I was aiming for. Nate, stay in one state for more than 24 hours and maybe you'll get to go to BWW with us sometime.

Now that I have a new job I felt it was time to get a new car. The ZX2 had a good run, but was getting past its prime. I've loved the new GTI's since I first saw a story about it on Top Gear. So, I shopped around and feel I got a good deal on this one. It's used, only 7500 miles, but was owned by a Catholic priest. He kept it in mint condition and actually added some upgrades. It has an APR chip that, according to APR, bumps the power to 250 HP and ~300 ft/lbs torque. It also has a Euro lightswitch that turns off the DRLs and allows the foglights to be controlled seperate from the headlights.
