  1. im downtown so someplace near that would be preferable thoughts?
  2. really? congress has to declare war? wow. i didnt know that. war has not been declared in iraq. only an "authorization to use force". in fact, the united states has not declared a state of war to exist between itself and another country since world war two. and thats a good enough reason for you?
  3. so if they've discovered that saddam DID have a new WMD program, then how does the government benefit from keeping it a secret? how does that help save lives? you'd think that the administration would be waving it in front of everyone saying "see? i told you so".
  4. they make reports after they go there. sometimes these reports get released to the public. if you dont want to read the report thats fine. but that doesnt change the facts that are contained within it. the fact still remains that the CIA says that there were NO new chem labs in iraq. not that there was not an ounce of chemical weapons there, but that there was NO NEW PROGRAM (which was the basis for going into war in the first place) if you dont want to listen to them, then i dont know what else to say. as for the ad hominem, im just saying, name calling does not make your points any stronger. "Serious readers for centuries are alert to recognize that ad hominem attacks generally mask an inability to counter an argument on logical or evidentiary grounds."
  5. saddlebags? http://www.veinskincareinstitute.com/images/Photos/Lipodissolve/saddlebags.jpg i think i may have a set lying around here... ill have to do some digging in the basement and see if i can find them. if i do id give them to you for free, since i obviously get a lot of use out of them taking up space in the basement :)
  6. wait a sec... are you saying the CIA has never been to iraq? seriously? more ad hominem.
  7. public enemy FTW. a lot of the newer rap and hip hop is just shit. i think the earlier stuff was a lot better because people could relate to it. it could appeal to a wider band of people. nowadays they are just talking about dropping benjis on bottles of crissy and rolling around in their hummer on 28s. how many average people can relate to that? maybe "blow it up motherfucker" was part of the chorus?
  8. meh... its just kids. i think this just means you're getting old when you were 18 (and i was 13 lol) gin and juice came out. people were like WTF? snoop dogg? people actually listen to this? i remember some places wouldnt sell doggystyle because of the cover lol. same with our parents. our grandparents would be like elvis? no way. too much gyration in the pelvic area. beatles? those long hair hippies! people actually listen to that???
  9. we had a big rock like that in my front yard when i was a kid. it was cool.
  10. i thought that had something to do with all the pussy you'd get from this truck. you shoulda said that she was so attracted to the truck that dude had to pull her off of it :)
  11. that is true. but IMO a bit is better than nothing. even if it saves you 100 dollars, thats 100 dollars you could spend at the bar i checked a few weeks ago, cuz one of my good friends lives on maui, and it was like 700 or so to fly from here to vegas, then to hawaii.(albeit i was looking for september) if you go on skybus (i confused it with jet blue lol) it was 150 round trip to burbank, and like 300 from LAX to hawaii. so thats 450. so you just saved 250. the cab ride is about 30 miles, so budget in 50 or 60 bucks for that, and thats about 2 benjamins in your pocket
  12. that point i will give you. they most certainly can be used as a method of delivery. although they can also be used to blow giant holes in the ground too, without any chemical or biological weapons along for the ride. so we got the delivery system. now where are these secret underground chem labs? just having the artillery is not proof enough that there is a new chemical weapon program going on. especially not when the delivery system has another use... like blowing giant holes in the ground.
  13. also, if they DID move them to syria, being able to move hundreds of tons of chemical, biological and nuke material without being detected by CIA satellites or NSA radio listening posts or by any other of the myriad of intel gathering systems, then no question, that was the must successful intelligence operation of this century.
  14. conspiracy theorist? don't you know that ad hominem is a fallacious argument? if i posted that bin laden is an active CIA operative who bush had cause 9/11 for the purposes of taking over iraq and getting their oil, then maybe i could be called a "conspiracy theorist". but i dont think i said that. i never said there were NO chemical weapons ANYWHERE in iraq. everyone knows there were. like i said, he used them against iran. im not arguing that fact. but what im saying is there was NO NEW WMD program, like this administration claimed there was. my source isnt CNN, MSNBC or even faux news. it came straight from the CIA. read the Duelfer Report from 2004. it pretty much spells out that iraq's WMD program was essentially destroyed in 91, and saddam ended the nuke program after the 91 gulf war. and as far as you or i, or anyone without a top secret security clearance goes, there has been no evidence of a new chem program. no hidden underground labs. no stockpiles of anthrax. no tons of mustard gas.
  15. WMD's, since that was the claim that was made for going to war. just saying "they had a shitload of mortar rounds" makes it look like you are trying to divert attention from the claim that you made before the war that there was a new chemical weapons program going on... oh no... we havent found that... but if you look over here you can see a warehouse full of artillery shells... OF COURSE they had artillery. i mean, their country IS at war, and they had a standing army. of course they are going to have some mortar rounds and some artillery shells. if they didnt have these things, and iraq's army was an un-armed army, then there wouldnt really be a war now would there? its not really a war if one side has guns and the other has nothing. maybe a skirmish, but i dont think that even applies. hell, they probably got some rifles too, and probably a few hand grenades as well. and thats just the army. not to mention every tom, dick and muhammed that lives in iraq that has an AK-47 in his closet. the UN did not prohibit them from having artillery either, so thats a moot point, and not a sufficient cause for going to war. if it IS cause to go to war, then there are 192 other countries in the world that we need to take on, because everyone has those kinds of things.
  16. well lets see... most powerful army in the world bearing down on me. my own soldiers surrendering to their water trucks... bombs being dropped all around me... hannibal is at the gates for gods sake. what else do i have to lose? credibility? its not like that matters because im gonna be imprisoned the minute they find me, and eventually executed... nope, doesnt look like i have shit to lose. im going to lose my reign over my country... may as well put the hurt on them before they kill me. im not going to hold out to try to make them look bad, and then have them find my stockpile in 2 months after my army is decimated. im going to use every weapon i have to try to gain an advantage. besides that , the point of having these weapons is to use them. they dont just look pretty. saddam used them when he was fighting iran. he also used them on the kurds. so he had no qualms over putting them to use.
  17. 1) mortar rounds and artillery shells are NOT repeat ARE NOT weapons of mass destruction. and they most certainly were not what we went in looking for. chemical, biological and nuclear weapons are WMDs. we didnt go into iraq saying "he has mortar rounds and artillery shells" EVERYONE has those things. lol i bet the vatican has a few mortar rounds in the basement of st. peters basilica. 2) the claim was not that he had SOME chemical weapons. everyone knew that. like i said before, WE GAVE THEM TO HIM. (although by now the leftovers are all but worthless. about as lethal as a can of raid) the claim was that he was MANUFACTURING more chemical weapons and possible nuclear technology. that he had an active chemical weapons program. mobile labs, secret underground chemical weapons plants, etc etc. from what we know now, he didnt. this raises the question that if he DID have these things, then why didnt he use them against our troops? it was obvious we were not going to back down. and that we were DETERMINED to overthrow his government. so what did he have to lose by unleashing a plauge of anthrax or a cloud of mustard gas? and redneck scott, i NEVER thought you were lying about your service in iraq. far from it. he makes himself look bad IMO. suspending habeus corpus doesnt make ANYONE look good.
  18. try to find a cheaper flight from LA to hawaii. then fly on that skyblue airline out to LA for 10-50 dollars
  19. go to the courthouse. pay the 40 dollars cash to get your license. then take all the money you just saved and go on a sweet honeymoon. take a small portion of it and buy a few bottles of booze for when you get back, so you can have a little party with your friends/family
  20. theyve been working all of 670 the past few days. around lunch time on monday, i saw FIVE of them on the westbound side in the 55 zone, from 71 to third street. 3 of them had ppl pulled over, one was just chillin and the other was running radar. other than that ive seen about 20 people pulled over this week on 670. watch it out there. i agree with the 5-9 over. i had a state trooper tell me once that he wont pull anyone over going less than 76. im sure the cops know if they are hidden well enough, soon enough someone will come by at 90
  21. free bump for you. my uncle is all about ford tractors. he buys em and then restores them. he has a 1921 Fordson, which was the first farm tractor to be mass produced. i think it has a '27 engine in it. also has a 1962 6000, another 60's 6000 and about 15 other assorted 8 and 9 N tractors. he is working on a 40something 8N now that he put a flathead truck engine in here is a pic of just a few out of his collection. http://i18.tinypic.com/5yhygld.jpg
  22. meh. its very hard to prove that someone actually posted something on a message board. they'd have to prove that it was actually you signed on and at your computer posting the message. kinda like if i made a thread saying i did 150 MPH on 315. cops could read it all they want, but what else can they do? they couldnt ticket me for it, as they didnt actually see it happening. also, how do they know it was really me posting it? i could have accidentally left myself logged in on a computer at the library or something. i aint skurred.
