  1. I dig it. Id buy another one. Biggest thing it needs from Ford is a diet. I was looking at a lot of things. SHO's, Chargers, EVO's. Wanted something sporty and 4 door. Stock for stock, most things were pretty comparable stock speed wise. The ST seemed to get the best mileage, which is what honestly tipped the scale in its favor. Been a couple times where I wish to have something bigger (Mainly some longer trips with passengers). I even looked into the RS, just was no way I could see spending that kind of money on a Focus. Anything else I would have liked to check out was way out of my price range, S4, BMW 335, etc.
  2. Overly paranoid and cautious. Couple local guys been trying to get me to go. I did go spectate and let some random guy with a GTI run it at Kil-Kare. He seemed surprised Id let him do that, lol.
  3. Mods: Depo FMIC Roush Airbox Turbosmart BOV 91 Oct mountune AP3 / 22PSI CFM Off road DP / resonator removed Stock otherwise 2.25 60 foot 14.12@101.35 Also went a 14.22 and a 14.12 again. Best trap was 101.70. That part is a bit disappointing, was hoping for more like 103 given it was pretty cool last night. If I could work at it, I am sure I could nudge a 13 out of it, just don't think I care enough to try. Its my daily and I am NOT doing anything else to it. If I dump money into something to make it fast, it will be the 69.
  4. Still been working on the car, just haven't been posting much on it. Put a couple hundred miles on it and things had been going pretty decent. With the sale of the RX8, I was able to get some things I wanted to do done. First off, was getting some horns for the car. It flat had nothing. Lucky, the factory wiring was intact and working. For the life of me, I could not make the horn button work on the steering wheel. Spent WAY to much time trying. In the end, said hell with it and wired in a simple switch. I also got me some ABS plastic and made a gauge pod / AC cover for the hole the previous owners cutout. I also used some to cover up the hole with the radio. http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4534_zpsdt9xhz3d.jpg I also added a cheap Tach and Fuel level gauge. The sending unit is bad in the tank. Ordered one and will tackle that come winter. Its always been my plan to put nice gauges in the cluster (Speedhuts), but just not justifiable now. http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4574_zpsex6nkqhg.jpg Next up was the correct trim rings for the headlights. My car had NONE. Found a good deal on Ebay for the outside ones and CJ Pony parts had the inner's on sale with the holiday. Had to repair some more of the Grill to make them fit, but I think it turned out pretty good. I also wanted black Lanyards for the hood pins. Kind of a PIA to find, so the ones I found are for a Go-Pro camera, work awesome!. Also got a Grill emblem coming from Ebay as well. No trim rings http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4349_zpsdiivzkzw.jpg Trim rings added: http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4577_zpscxmqdhxb.jpg http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4576_zpsdplpeaae.jpg Next was the seats. Got a good deal on the fronts. From a 2002 and were $20! Went to the Pick and pull and got the rears for $67. Didn't have the modify the rear much. Looks a lot batter than what was in there. Pulling out the old http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4480_zpsalsbrqzd.jpg $20! http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4477_zpsapulebnk.jpg I think it looks kind of cool Two tone with the black http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4482_zpshvaufsuv.jpg Had to cut this off of the rear seat tray http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4490_zpsryl2bmx7.jpg Used these to build up the floor and used factory seat attachments http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4499_zpsovgqdxgg.jpg Had to cut some foam out. You can see the wood risers added in. http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4500_zpsu8llh4rv.jpg And done. Still have to staple the carpet to the wood risers in this pic. http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4571_zps9v4eipdb.jpg Seats function correctly as well. http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4572_zpsgc5q2xf2.jpg Next? When I last drove it, it just rides awful. Looking at the shocks, its no wonder (I am not sure if they have ever been replaced). So I looking things over and I notice this nut looked crooked. Touched it and the damn thing fell off! http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4535_zpsjgcqb9rd.jpg To make matters more interesting, when I went and looked at the drivers side, it has a tubular control arm on it, but the passenger side is stamped steal. Like WTF?! So I have yet to put on, but is in my garage. New control arms, spring perches, 1" drop springs, 1" drop rear shackles, 4 KYB shocks, and subframe connectors. Should ride a little better

    APR S4

No Video? I want to hear it.
  7. When it was trapping 125 yes. At 140, it had a full 2000 GT conversion. (Front, rear, Hydroboost). I could have road raced it, they worked awesome!
  8. So what is the price he is asking? For the most part, Id ignore what most people have said about it. I liked mine. Gets about 18MPG average.
  9. Hmmm, trapped 140 with stock seat belts, a Meijer helmet and no cage. On a side note, it did pass tech. lol
  10. My GXP started to slip. Put some lucas oil in it, lasted 30k more miles. If its cheap and the trans has already been rebuilt, its a great driver.
  11. Oh yeah, I can tell a lot of this work was done before it was so easy to get things. Even then, it was still a piss poor job of fixing things. Hopefully, the nickel and diming is done for a few, there has been a lot of it getting it here and there is still a LOT to go. But so far, she is starting when I turn the key and moving turn the wheel
  12. That is the game plan. 17 or 18's and lowered. Bullets seem to be the logical choice, but might go with something a bit more like these: http://www.americanmuscle.com/black-2013gt500-9904.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/black-performance-pack-wheels-9904.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/matteblack-forgestar-f14-wheels-9904.html https://lmr.com/products/Mustang-Series-2-Wheels-94-04 https://lmr.com/products/mustang-sve-series-3-wheels-94-04 https://lmr.com/products/mustang-rovos-pretoria-94-04 But keep your eyes out for a 99-04 interior. Front and back. Only Black and would like Leather. Going to integrate the rear fold down system of that year into this car.
  13. So I had finally reached a point where I was ready to take the car out of the garage for the first time since bringing it home. Fired it up, parked it on the street, let it idle, noticed it was leaking power steering fluid everywhere. FML. While sitting in my garage, the PS control valve took a shit. Like really? So I order a new one, watch some vids on how to replace it and tackle the job. First thing I notice is the old one has a Remanufactured sticker on it and was really hard to get off. Should have been cake. Once off, I notice this: http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4355_zpsvuxvacbq.jpg The PSCV screws onto the Center link. So whoever replaced it before, put it on cross threaded and flattened the threads! Like OMG! So, time to order a center link. Like magic, one pops up on EBay for $20 shipped. Cant pass that up, shows up, get the old one off, and set the two side by side: http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4399_zpsj24wlfzn.jpg Yeah, it’s a Ford part, but that don’t fit no Mustang. FML. Its for a Torino, not a Mustang. Sooooo, I order ANOTHER one. This time, its correct. Put it on, get the PSCV on aaannnnnnnddddd…….. I have a running driving 1969 Mustang http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4348_zpsdgc2kodi.jpg http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4347_zpss1nw3v9y.jpg http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4349_zpsdiivzkzw.jpg While I was at it, they had a sale on taillights. After the first set showed up cracked (I swear, I can’t make this shit up….) I got them on and a big improvement. Old on left, new on right http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4402_zpsndcer0sl.jpg That’s it for now. Still have to sort out the passenger window, but have been able to drive the car this weekend. Been pretty cool so far
  14. http://www.chicagomotors.info/3953/2013-Ford-Taurus-Police-AWD-Twin-Turbo-Eco-Boost BAM, they got one in!

Well, that is one way to reduce salary overhead of the cast. Just kill half of them in one episode.
  16. Be easy to check out the motor, when you was slipping a cam into it
  17. http://www.chicagomotors.info/3930/2012-Chevrolet-Caprice-Police Kind of surprised. Would have really taken look had I not have the other two cars. From our handpicked selection we bring you this Black 2012 Chevy Caprice 9C1 Police Package with 79k Miles. This rare 6.0L V8 RWD Caprice is in very well kept and maintained condition all around. Best episode to date.
  19. So I have spent most of my time working on lighting. I was just going to replace the low beam lights, keep the John deer centers, and worry about them later when I had more funds. Well, that didnt work. Come to find out, the 69 has 4 headlight buckets, a different part umber for each light. I had two, 1 high and one low. Damnit..... Found a deal on ebay getting all 4 and rings. Let me tell you, those headlight springs... suck. like majorly. In fact, I didnt use them, I used a Zip tie. Seems to work great and you cant even see them. Of course, I dont have the outer or inner trim rings, that will have to be a future purchase. Just waiting on my new adjuster kits to show up, because, yeah, all mine blow. Also, I bought the correct front parking lamps. When I went to put them in, (go figure, something is wrong....) the driver side lamp was hitting the bracket. Now my bumper is held on by only this bracket. The long arm ones, http://www.cjponyparts.com/bumper-bracket-front-outer-driver-side-1969-1970/p/BB3OL/ , my car does not have. So the previous owner decided to tac weld this in place wrong (lol). So I will need to sort that out at a later date. In the mean time, I got these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/172167245812?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT And put them in hole in the lower valance until I can get things sorted out. Pretty neat, I think they turned out well. http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4339_zps2qmy4hst.jpg http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4340_zpsnyzyvs4r.jpg I wired the turn signal to the White. I also changed the headlight switch so the ambers stay on with the headlights http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4341_zpssm1txkm5.jpg Got new LED's in the taillight housings. Have said housings now secured with the correct hardware and added some license plate lights http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4337_zps1a67i9bt.jpg The License plate lights turned out great. A LOT cheaper than a factory one and I didnt have to modify anything. These are the ones I got: http://www.ebay.com/itm/252268229085?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4342_zpsr1ea24ua.jpg New LED Dash lights http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4336_zpswdeupxkm.jpg I hated the horse emblem they put on the side of the car. Got it off, and of course it was a pin on emblem. Replaced it with this, thought it was a major improvement on the cheap. http://www.ebay.com/itm/141995216229?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4334_zpsac4qhbaj.jpg And finally, I got one of the door panels all sorted out. Still needs armrest. http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae290/ackbar00/Mustang/1969%20Mustang/IMG_4314_zpshmz7utgs.jpg The passenger window has one of the glue in's off. I REALLY don't want to mess with that until winter. Trying to see if I can jimmy it when I would need to. I'm willing to bet it has the wrong weather stripping in it because in the drivers door don't "seal" all that well. Well, that's it for now.
