  1. K, so it's not like you can just show up and take it. OK, that's not true. You can. But you have to get it off the top of my car! I just bought a Geo Prism at the Goodwill auto auction, to have some basic, working transportation, and the car came with a bikerack mounted on top of it. It's not bolted onto the body or anything, but I'm having trouble getting it off on the passenger side, so here's the deal: If you want a bike rack for the top of your vehicle, PM me. I'll PM you my address, and we'll set up a time that you can just come take this thing. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just that I don't have any use for the thing, and someone else might actually appreciate it and get some use out of it, if they know how to secure a bike or luggage or something to it. First come, first serve, I just want to get rid of the rack.
  2. Never mind the rampant corruption in Maricopa county, AZ, and the laws broken by it's own police officers and public officials. Since they don't obey the law either, perhaps it's time they become neighbors to the tent-dwelling inmates? Wait, if a cop breaks the law, it's OK. Right.

    terrorists suck

Muslims aren't the only people who have had members of their religion go on major homicidal rampages. Christians have enjoyed their own slaughtering sprees, as have members of just about every religion. Bottom line? People suck.
  4. Yeah. Hell, they sent 5 cruisers after me and two friends for getting our taxes taken care of on sunday once. (Not kidding.)
  5. Doesn't Otterbein provide a major source of revenue to Westerville not only from tuition costs, but from students shopping at local area businesses? If I were the cops in a city, I'd be concerned about people preying on the students, because you drive away the students, and everyone loses money.
  6. Westerville PD is well, Westerville PD. Usually their most interesting incidient is picking up a DUI or ticketing a speeder, so they actually tend to give a crap when something serious happens in Westerville. Maybe they just aren't as jaded as CPD who see this shit far more often then they should.
  7. If you see a white, late 80s Chevrolet Celebrity with an african american and hispanic male *together* around it/in it at night, get the hell out of the area, no matter *WHAT* you are doing. The reason for saying this? These two people have been going around the Schrock Rd area, from around Otterbein College, all the way down to The Brookeville robbing people at gunpoint, including a friend of mine right outside of his house. CPD does not seem to be taking the problem seriously at all, and the officer did not take down most of the information that he provided to them in the police report at all, even ignoring the details about their vehicle that he provided to them, instead simply writing "Late model chevy". (Yes, I saw the report.) Since the News hasn't even thought to bother reporting on the situation, despite the fact that these same individuals are repeatedly assaulting and robbing people, I figured I'd post a heads up about it here so anyone who might be in the area would be aware of the situation, and a little more alert when they have to be in the neighborhood.
  8. Taking cash offers? It doesn't have any bids on it yet.

    slow motion

I've heard good stuff about them too, actually. Since I'm thinking of getting out of the import game for a while and away from 4-cyls too, they ever done a 350 swap into a Fiero before?
  10. Shows how much attention I pay to things graemlins/doh.gif
  11. What the fuck is he smoking, and where can I buy some? Actually... no. I don't want to smoke something that will make me ugly my car up that badly.
  12. They ever hang out between the greenlawn exit of 71 up until you get to High St? That's one of the easier ways to get to U-Wrench-It, and I just don't like going 35 when there's no logical reason.
  13. K, I'll give you a call tomorrow. I really don't want to get rid of this car just yet if I don't have to, and I'd be willing to wrench on it there and put work into fixing it as well. I'm just in way over my head on this one.
  14. I reallt hate to do this, but I'm considering selling my AE86 hatchback. Silver, SR5 model, 5-speed transmission. The car is using an Edelbrock air cleaner instead of the stock one but I'll just give you the stock air cleaner with it too. This car needs to be with someone with the ability to maintain it/fix it back up, and that person isn't me anymore. It needs ignition timing adjusted, and you should probably replace the vacuum hoses. (it's so far off the car is starting and dying right away. Started fucking up like that after taking the distributor out to have it tested.), a few other minor things here and there, and has your typical toyota rust here and there. 261K miles or so, but the gauge cluster is not the original one anymore, as it's been replaced with one out of a Corolla GT-S along with the steering wheel. Head gasket was replaced back in January. About to install the factory radio (AM/FM + tape player) I just picked up, as well as the replacement bezel to replace the stuff damaged by a thief stealing the MP3 player it had. Overall in halfway decent shape for an AE86 up in these parts, open to trades or offers (especially trades for something that I can just drive reliably for a few months until I can get something better, even if it's FWD/Auto/Slow/Not great looking. I'm not being picky right now.). Good project car for someone wanting to do an SR5 to GT-S conversion, or for someone to fix up and use as a daily/beater/first stick shift/etc. I'll also throw in an extra shifter, clutch and pressure plate, steering wheel, extra distributor, extra carb (needs to be rebuilt properly), a rebuild kit for the carb, and an extra fuse box. If I don't have this thing, I don't need them either. Note: This car has a "rebuilt salvage" title, because the owner before the previous one was hit in the quarter panel, and the insurance company totaled out the car rather then paying to fix the quarter panel. She did not like that and bought it back from them, and paid to fix the damage herself. The car handles just fine. You may want to replace/repair the gas tank as well, as I was told not to fill it up all the way, but I've never bothered putting more then half a tank in at a time anyway, which was more then enough to make it up to cleveland when this thing was running right for me. Other note: Car must be *towed*, you cannot drive this until you can get it to quit stalling out! PM with offers/trades. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/Kuruma_Kitsune/PICT0032.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/Kuruma_Kitsune/PICT0030.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/Kuruma_Kitsune/PICT0019.jpg
  15. Just got back from getting several parts at U-Wrench it off a nice red 1986 Corolla SR5 coupe, body is in *awesome* shape for a hachi, the quarters have only minimal surface rust, and the interior *WAS* fully intact and near perfect except for the HVAC controls. Had the hard to find 16220 version of a carb that almost nobody in town can get. I already grabbed a few of the prime parts off this car, anyone else might wanna go even if they don't have an AE86, as clean interior parts sell pretty quick on ebay or club4AG.
  16. Psh, nothing wrong with having an Evo as your "dream" car. The AE86 was one of my own dream cars, which seemed out of reach not because of price, but just because I never saw them in person until I finally bought mine. Of course, I have a few "dream " cars, for different reasons. Mine: AE86 (Got it, learned a lot from owning it, wish it was faster. Feels like "home") 2nd Gen RX-7 (Got it too. Feels like a very arrogant but capable car.) 240SX hatchback with Sil80 conversion and SR20DET motor. 280Z 3rd gen RX-7 Evo 8 or higher 1st gen Miata AW11 MR2 supercharged Mitsubishi Starion Merkur XR4Ti MKII Supra My dream cars aren't monster cars that can blow everything out there away, but things I can obtain if I work for them, and I like it that way. Of course, if I was offered the choice between a painfully expensive car, and something like an MR2 SC, fuck that shit. I'll take the rich boy's toy, have my way with it, and a few traffic tickets for going well over the speed limit later, sell it and buy all of the cars I want and can actually afford to own and maintain
  17. Agreed. If I had $500 to waste right now, and had to choose between: 1: Digital cluster from a JDM Trueno + Kouki JDM taillights or 2: Weber 32/36 carb (used), rebuild kit for carb, adapter plate, and Paradise Racing valve springs + cam for Toyota 4A-C... I'd be insane not to spend it on the go-parts BUT, hey, if you feel your car is already fast enough for the time being, it's your money and car, and you should do what makes you happy with it. Those bumpers both make the front of the car look like it's got a funny smiling face with a big mouth though. Happycar

  19. http://www.statepatrol.ohio.gov/media/2005/05-076.htm Watch your asses, people.
  20. The look of the SRT-4 isn't that bad, but having pushed a stock SOHC neon beyond it's absolute limits of control... I'd have to say... Make the next version 4WD, please. And Buckeye, I'll add a third to that one smile.gif 3. My slow ass AE86 was a blast to play with when the weather turns to shit. (and will be again when I get around to fixing it). Nothing quite like an underpowered RWD car (Maybe 80hp after the bolt-on shit and timing changes, maximum.) that's light as hell to toss around on streets covered in ice and snow. Was it fast? Nope. Unless you knew how to drive it faster then other cars were capable of handling in shit weather, that is.
  21. Maybe because I don't really give a shit about what people think of my clothes? graemlins/lol.gif I've got better shit to worry about then that.
  22. Name the stupidest shit you've seen. Worst I've heard of is some douchebag in a Cavalier who got cut off by a truck deciding to get his revenge by swooping in front of the 18-wheeler, and slamming on his brakes at freeway speeds. Needless to say, a wreck happened.

    People.

+1. There's a lot about modern american society that just plain sucks. Neo-conservatism isn't the way to fix it though, just some plain, old fashioned kicks in the ass from life to make people realize that when they do something stupid, it's gonna fuck em over.
  24. My, aren't we the fashionista? So what would CR's own Bravo network hopeful recommend for this season's footwear? graemlins/supergay2.gif At least my jobs have paid my bills while my AE86 has been busted, so that I don't live on the street and starve. I'll worry about getting a better one (aside from the promotion I was just offered, and accepted the other day) when I fix up the FC a bit more so I can drive it around without getting pulled over for bullshit that doesn't affect driveability.
  25. +1 When I'm driving my RX-7, or my AE86, both 5-speeds, I'm very much NOT inclined to do something stupid like eating, dialing the phone, etc, because I'm paying a lot more attention to the car itself, and I also know if I need to downshift for some odd reason, I don't want my hands busy with other shit. When I borrow my roommate's POS Accord.... Or when I drove the Neon I used to have... I used to always mess with other shit. Plus, the RX-7 is just a way sportier car then anything I've had before. I'm more inclined to just park the damn thing, put the top down, and relax to some music and watch shit in the comfy seats while I eat, instead of eating on the fly.
