  1. Sorry, guys...been werking and just got back to the thread... It's not pressure-treated...looks amber/reddish like cedar. I have a few metal poles from a ladder and monkeybars, and two large, green plastic sheets that were the roof. The set looks kinda like this but with solid roofing: http://ll-us-i5.wal.co/dfw/dce07b8c-46bb/k2-_26379ee2-3dde-42f2-8418-9c14eac85f76.v1.jpg-2fa5ef6177c5f2ed7f16aff69f91ae02b8afc46b-optim-450x450.jpg It's in pieces in the back of my truck. I gotta dump it tonight as I have other hauling duties in advance of tomorrow's birthday party.
  2. I live in UA...no open fire pits available large enough. Plus, it's more getting it out of the property. Thanks though, Paul.
  3. Hey, guys...I already tore apart an old Rainbow playground we had in our backyard. The wood's pretty rotten in spots from Carpenter bees and ants. I'd like to avoid paying to dump it in SWACO. Would mulch companies take something like this? Looking for where I can dispose of it. Not much hardware left (someone took it from Buy/Sell/Trade on Facebook.)
  4. I saw you Friday evening tearing down Dublin Road by Roberts Road...
  5. Memorial Day weekend is usually a large turnout!
  6. ^^^Hear, hear!!! Problem is employers can still fire you for marijuana use even if it's prescribed. Conflicting legislation that wasn't accommodated for by this passage.
  7. http://jalopnik.com/the-original-fast-furious-will-be-back-in-theaters-fo-1778727656 The original Fast and the Furious is showing on the 15th anniversary of original showing date: June 22nd. Fandango shows AMC Lennox has a 7pm showing. Who's going? Can't believe it's been 15 years...
  8. Although, could we not suppose that there are parts available for the single '83 Corvette, with GM technology that's interchangeable between 1982-84? If I grabbed a few alternators for 1982 and 1984 Corvettes, I'll bet one of them is a perfect fit for the '83...should it need a new alternator from sitting in a museum all these years. Just because the car was not sold - since the public never could register an '83 Corvette - doesn't mean there aren't parts available for it...
  9. Austin, I know it's not modern, but my CTS-V and Lincoln are available for you to use. I'm with you guys, though...sad to say my "newest" toy car is 2007.
  10. Just before I bought my BMW, I was looking at New Edge Cobras. I liked the idea of a mainstream, V8 RWD convertible with a little bit more of a pedigree. At the time, there wasn't anything under $7500. If you're going to go Mustang for a convertible, a Cobra is definitely a good way to go. Would rather be looking at "COBRA" on the rear bumper than "MUSTANG"
  11. I have to admit, I never thought of a gear-shaft drive for OHC/OHV applications...no chains/belts to break...makes sense for compact applications like motorcycles. Those Enzo heads are YUUUUGE...
  12. I think Chris was already looking at that yellow one? I'm more of a "modded" buyer (CTS-V, BMW): when I see that a car is done up with things I'd want - lowered, intake/exhaust, tint, etc - and the price is not far out of the market for stock examples of the same car, that's a good buy to me. LOL - sounds like a chassis to me. If you want me to get technical, I'll amend my statement that the '05-'10 is based on the Lincoln LS chassis.
  13. I grew up with Eric the Wild Car, and I can't find a cheap copy of it anywhere. Would love to read it to my kids. Loved the artwork. http://www.amazon.com/Eric-Wild-Car-John-Sheridan/dp/0672525658

  15. Wow...I hope that actually has happened to a few guys that are better off not being dads anyway.
  16. They are fat, LS-chassis-based cows that are fully depreciated, but not classics . . . owned by people that want a Mustang but don't wrench and need to have local shops be able to work on it cheaply.
  17. From e36lsx.com Weight. There is a lot of mis-information pertaining to the weight gain of the V8 swap. A lot of people are claiming there is no weight gain, but they are removing air conditioning, catalytic converters, insulation, and other items. They may also be running smaller batteries, and they may weigh the car with an empty tank of gas, or they may simply be guessing what their cars weigh. A stock, fully-dressed 325 engine and 5-speed transmission weighs about 530-550 lbs. 328 engines with aluminum blocks weigh less. All M3's came with cast-iron blocks. An aluminum block LSx engine with the T56 transmission will add at least 100 pounds to the weight of a stock 325 with the 5-speed. A small-block V8 with the T5 transmission will add at least 200 lbs to the weight of a stock 325 with the 5-speed. A small-block Ford V8 weighs about the same as a small-block Chevrolet (within ten lbs). We aren't sure why people insist that the Ford small-block is up to 100 lbs lighter than the Chevrolet small-block.
  18. He is there: hangs out at home raising other men's kids while his wife is out riding the next John. OT, that sounds like a lot of tech for the price. I pay $26/month for a more traditional system, though I have an app that lets me set/reset the pad and force police/fire alerts. Cameras and Nest connectivity? Garage door openers? Yes, please!!!
  19. I'd guess Diamond Cellar... but I have a feeling they wouldn't be the best offer.
  20. Bringing this back up. I realize that not a ton of people are into airbag suspension setups - and quite frankly the guys that are also enjoy pitbulls, yelling at their baby-mamas, and selling illegal substances for cash. Trying to get the car set up for the summer.
  21. We talked about this - I stumbled into what you're describing by buying my E36 318: lightweight, 50/50 chassis, RWD, 6500rpm-redline highway burner that is simple-yet-robust, with a wide aftermarket of available parts. Look at E30/E36 318 'verts...you'll have legit seating for 4 adults plus a trunk PLUS air-con and power accessories for under $5k. If you search enough, there are E46 323/325/328/330's, but IMO they got a little too fat and laden with electronics for their own good. Even with that being said, you've got an OBDII modern car that's still cheaper than the classics, with a fleeting semblance of soul leftover.
