  1. LOL. I thought that about my 3-series: swap in an LS1 and call it a 357 Magnum (because of how big my cock is)
  2. Looks more like the cut-vinyl lettering that's so popular these days.
  3. FiL bought the '99 XJ8L we have in FL. I'm "rocking" an '04 Cavalier now. Still drive the Jag every time I'm down there, though. It's a great car but the maintenance is expensive, even with indy-shops and RockAuto parts. I thought about an LS-swap, slammed, patina'd XJ8, rolling on chrome Cragars and gutted exhaust. This is the exact opposite direction, and I love it more.
  4. I love everything about this car, down to the lettered tires...
  5. Fook me, THAT'S a beautiful color. Congratulations!
  6. Hey, guys...appreciate the input in this thread. I helped get the Civic started and he followed me in my car as I drove it up to CarMax. It had a horrible drift to the right, but aside from rusty brakes the engine/trans was in great shape. We got to CM and they gave him an offer of $1,500. We both turned to each other with a "TAKE THE DEAL" look. Happy to help out a friend, and would've liked the Civic at $1k or less, but it definitely felt like at least $500 in parts, plus work. Lord knows I've got enough projects already.
  7. That's a very specific price. From a dealer like that, I'd worry about average bodywork covering up rust/damage.
  8. Agreed on Ep.48, and $50k LOL for Muscle Truck.
  9. Better than the stockers.
  10. +1. I ended up getting FNCL instead. Not happy with my choice so far.
  11. I've got a buddy that wants them. PM'd
  12. Hey guys, I'm going to get black-out drunk tonight and streak downtown into the Mighty Scioto. #JohnQuincyAdams #yolo
  13. Friend of mine through CC&C has a seat and multiscreen setup for iRacing. I drove it over the winter and it is really addictive. Really well done...if I was into racing but lived in a major city or racing was beyond my means, I'd definitely get into it.
  14. Thx, grrg. I've waffled on cars in the past but as I've found out with my tee-ruks, Lincoln, this Honda...my wife is more understanding of a decent cheap-car-with-a-purpose. If CarMax beats my offer, I'll be just as happy if he sells it to them. Regardless, I'll keep this thread updated.
  15. My neighbor has a similar fireplace...awesome from a heat-output standpoint but I get it with little kids. Jesse, do eeeet. Would make a nice Chimnea outside too, I'd bet.
  16. Kirk, with all the talk on flipping cars, I appreciate where your comment comes from. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124522&highlight=flip+game To be clear, my buddy is looking to just get rid of it: he's got a GLK 450 for the family he's MUCH happier with now but even when I looked at it last Sunday, I told him my specific plans: I'm either going to fix it up to drive it over the summer, then flip it to some student in the fall...or just outright flip it. He said he didn't care: he just doesn't want to deal with it anymore, and it sits on the curb in front of his house. He just got back from 3 days in Buffalo for work and he's ready to be done with this thing; it has sat for nearly 2 months in front of the house (batt was dead when I was there Sunday) and he's ready for it to be gone. Current plan is he and I are taking it to CarMax tomorrow to get a cash purchase appraisal. He and I are now at around $1000, because he's not done any recalls (especially the Takata airbag). If CarMax is lower, he can take their deal or I'll match it. If CarMax is higher, he can dump it to them. We're still grabbing beers either way together. Us carfolk at CR often realize that unlike many of our friends and coworkers, NOBODY CARES about their older cars once they get to a certain point. My UA dad-friends are examples of this. I've got a few "right of first refusals" out for the next 10 years on some guys' cars and Jeeps. They know where to turn to in their social circle when they're ready to dump an old car for cheap.
  17. She loves the Mustang, and a few other cars people texted me. Post up some pics! I text them to her for approval. So far she's loved what we've brought to the table!
  18. Brad, shoot me a PM, please. I may have your cell but I forget. Let me know details and price. Thanks!
  19. I got love for an Altima that picked up where the gaddamn Maxima should've carried on: VQ-series V6 with a proper STICK-SHIFT transmission.:thumbup:
  20. Tore up some hillside there, brah! Sweet trail rig.
  21. Your mother's vagina was used to brew beer... It's called "Wizard's Sleeve IPA". It's naaaa-sty.
  22. I'm close to pulling the trigger on my buddy's 2003 Civic EX 2dr (EM2). Regardless if I keep it or flip it, the biggest offenders are the dry-rotted tires. Instead of just new tires, I'd like to see if CR's Finest have any good wheels/tires that fit a 4x100 bolt pattern Civic, ready to bolt on and drive. Open to all sizes, tires, finishes, and offsets, with a focus on good value for the buck. TIA.
