  2. Riiiiight...still me. I can't imagine there would ever be another Clay on this board... Never in a thousand years........ NEVER http://www.followingthenerd.com/site/wp-content/uploads/Transformers-4-Kelsey-Grammer_1367441330.jpg
  3. et tu, Ben? With my son playing Saturday morning soccer now, I'll be lucky to make it to Lennox by 10:30...that, and there's NO FREE COFFEE ANYMORE means I'll probably never show up to Byers.
  4. He's on FB, and looks like he's lovin' life. HBD, mang...
  5. I understand. I also remember a time when car magazines would do "Tuner Shootouts" where shops like Stillen, Hennessey, etc...would take everything from VW Golfs to RX-7s, 300ZXs, Corvettes, Mustangs, etc....would build them up and square them off against each other. In that spirit, I'd love to see the aftermarket make an "RS-spec" turbo-4 Camaro and easily bolt-on performance to exceed the SS. Or, since we're living in rare times where both Ford and Chevy (and even Cadillac!) make turbo-4's that have stick shifts...would be cool for them to tune and pit them against each other. Just a thought...
  6. A lot of people extoll the virtues of Marc Stock as a solid mortgage banker. Being in the banking industry for 15 years, I didn't think much of ever using him myself (b'cuz of course I know more than him!), though he's an OG bro of mine here on CR, having known him for the better part of 10 years... Long story short, I've never had a better experience with a mortgage banker than with Marc. He's incredibly knowledgable, and his recommendations...though at first not what my wife and I would've agreed upon...definitely ended up being the right financial decision for us in the long run. Many props to Marc. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a mortgage in the Central Ohio area. He'll understand that I hope to never need another mortgage again in the future:), but if I do he'll be my first call. TL;DR = He helped me get a leg up on the pile. http://arrongibson.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Senor_Cardgage_shirt_close.png
  7. Impressive weight for the turbo-4...350 lbs off the nose compared to the SS? I'd be interested to see an aftermarket company do a suspension/brake/tire upgrade that gets the turbo past the V8's handling numbers for less money...
  8. Will, you'll need a deputy inspect the vehicle and provide an Out-Of-State authorization to transfer the title to Ohio when you get it registered. A car dealership can also help you out if you know anyone...
  9. Congrats, man! Looking forward to pics. Bad paintjob? Time to have some fun with the appearance!
  10. Cool shit! I didn't know Doug did this...thanks for letting us know, Nickey!
  11. I'm a big fan of our Odyssey for what it's good for as a family man. Ignore the haters. Nice van! I'm not a fan of the Caravans but the Blacktop package is solid and you can't argue with the Pentastar V6...
  12. Alright alright ALRIGHT... Poked around on getting the head back on the engine over the last few weeks. Did a marathon session tonight and got everything together! However, I cracked a coolant nipple reattaching the myriad cooling hoses. Fired her up...ENGINE RAN GREAT! Smoooooother than ever. Drove it around the block. Up to operating temp! Uh oh...started creeping up above normal eeeever so slightly...pulled into driveway and shut'er down. I hear hissing of air under the hood. Sounds like it's coming from the crossover pipe with the cracked nipple. I go to tighten the hose and BAM! It pops off in spectacular fashion. Hose attached to nipple rockets off and boiling distilled water sprays. Half of nipple is in hose, a stubby part of nipple is left on the crossover pipe. Good news is the crossover pipe is a $9, common-failure replacement part. Ordered from RockAuto. Bad news is I gotta remove the fucking intake manifold to replace it! No worries... Feeling great, and looking forward to getting this thing back on the road!
  13. All I'm saying is I'd scramble for some workable lugnuts instead of letting some canoe take my car with wheels I really wanted. Even if you could only source 3-4 lugs per wheel to get it home!
  14. Can't you just bring new lugs to the trade to swap wheels? Or is he saying that the trade won't happen unless he keeps the MB Battles as well?
  15. This. Good call. I'm pretty sure Stan also has all the cars Kerry mentioned in his post. All you need to do is look for the Ross Racing sticker on the back of the cars.
  16. LOL. I do think about the "bravado" that comes naturally with these "living well" discussions... Be Tim: talk about making $24k on money that could've gone towards a car, then blows $32k on landscaping and a camera.
  17. Good luck with that one, Ryan. I still don't understand why QS&L isn't a good place. It's not like they kick people out from the side parking lot...
  18. Malcolm Ross (part of the Ross Labs/Abbott family) lives in UA and has the 918 and the LaFerrari. My coworker's kids go to Wellington with Ross' kids, and Malcolm likes to go to Cuco's and Rancho Allegre a lot so it's not unusual to see one of those cars just parked in front of a strip mall on Henderson Rd. Very cool cars indeed.
  19. I won't be able to make it tomorrow, but curious if people are already meeting up there??? I haven't been to Polaris since right before it was shut down in May/June...

It's Cinderella Man...it's Rocky...but it's a damn fine movie that stands on it's own. The end made me tear up. Well done. 10/10
  22. I saw that video a few years ago...there are a LOT of assumptions/generalizations made to make those numbers pop. Great concept, and still gives you something to think about.
