  1. I should just pay YOU $10 a month instead of Planet Fitness
  2. +1. With every ounce of my powers as an Administrator, if that guy pops back up here I'm deleting every post he makes. This thread was specifically perpetuated because many of us knew he'd go down in flames, and people would stare at the dumpster fire of his life for months. Watching DWiggs and CTD unravel was a delicious treat that myself and many others savored for quite a while. Be DWiggs: Nobody told him "no" growing up, now rationalizes inside his mind why the world spits him out: "It's not my fault...it's everyone else."
  3. Welcome to the site!
  4. That is impressive what boost numbers the "smaller" LS motors can take...
  5. I'll just leave this here: http://autoweek.com/article/classic-cars/look-back-eye-opener-acura-nsx-made-no-excuses-1990 I'm all for the purity of a cheap, RWD, stick-shift car, but look at the last couple of paragraphs... "Critics will say the NSX achieves these aims with less character than European or American sports cars of like comportment. These same critics similarly complain that the Carrera 4 and the 348 lack the hard-edged appeal of the 911 and 328. All three represent strides in the same direction. If you dislike that direction, you'll like none of them. But if Acura is mistaken in seeking to sell you a truly fast sports car that's also absurdly easy to drive, it is clearly in good company. The NSX's only error then would be in achieving that aim better than has anyone else. For that, it need make no excuses." Could being "a poor man's 918 or P1" ever possibly be a bad thing? If we replace the above references in 1990 (Carrera 4 and 348) with R8, McLaren, GTR for 2016, sounds like the NSX will still stand on it's own two feet. Sounds to me more like the bulk of CR doesn't like the new NSX...I think if it's marketed correctly, it'll be a hit for all it brings to the 2016 automotive marketplace.
  6. Wow. Awesomesauce. I <3 RockAuto.
  7. Scott, I appreciate more than most the amount of capital that goes into a startup company. Elon will go down as one of the great innovators of our time. When regulatory and political environments produce headwinds to many businesses, he is doing an amazing job with multiple projects. That said, let's talk when Elon releases a 4-seater, 350mile-range sedan/coupe for $30k. Looking forward to the "Model 3"...
  8. Wow. Not saying I agree with Lutz... EEEEEEEASY GUIZ... I wasn't implying that Tesla wasn't profitable...just that whatever new models come out need to keep the company on-track.
  9. http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a26859/bob-lutz-tesla/ Good "food for thought" article... I think Bob brought up a great point; I never thought of a range-extender for a cheaper Tesla? Maybe Ford's 1.0L turbo-3? Maybe forge a partnership with a major automotive manufacturer for Tesla service at their facilities? As long as people buy profitable Tesla products (to his point, look at all the SUV's Porsche sells), the gigafactory can be built and operated to develop the next-level products Elon Musk is bringing to market.
  10. Infiniti Q50? http://wot.motortrend.com/future-infiniti-q50s-may-offer-turbo-four-turbodiesel-2013-detroit-314499.html/photos/
  11. I did the wet sand and rattle can clear on the cavalier I have in Florida. Obviously I didn't do the best prep job, and as it was outdoors there was a little bit of wind. That all being said, I couldn't imagine a shittier looking outcome. Good luck, use the garage, and if you can get a professional product that goes on with an HVLP gun
  12. ^^^aww When I was in FL, other northern transplants would say how they miss the change of seasons. I love the year-round warmth, and would call them all crazy. Now, as I get older, I do appreciate that not every day needs to be 90* for swimming, and the fall foliage colors really are beautiful. Of course, it just sucks that winter kills everything for 5 months. My contribution to the thread, taken from my backyard as they are moving my offices today. "working from home" LOL. iPhone 5S pic doesn't do the sight justice; the yellows are incredibly bright with the sun against that blue sky. That large Oak in my neighbors yard looks like it's on fire. http://i.imgur.com/EHM3USNl.jpg
  13. That turbo is bigger than the engine!!!1!1 I loved me some 2.3L turbo-4 coverage in HOT ROD Magazine when I was a lad.
  14. Are you talking about the Panamera? 4 door Porsche? If so, that's a buddy of mine in UA.
  15. D.Wiggs' problem is that he cannot escape his own shadow - at least in the car community - from now on. The visibility that he wanted for HIMSELF (using CTD as a conduit...don't forget there was a Jalopnik article too!) seals his fate on the internet from being taken seriously for many years to come. I was chatting with some guys last night about the world our kids are growing up in: they just can't make any McSteaks with the internet and social media all around them. The hotter the spotlight, the bigger the target...
