  1. Before I go to CL or Car-parts.com (I see a 1991 F150 at Central City), wanted to check with the best & brightest on CR... My 1982 F100 sounds like its gnawing on a bearing inside the tranny when I'm in 3rd gear (it's the Ford T-18 RAT 3.03 3-speed manual). I've taken this thing in and out of my simple tee-ruk a few times, but before I rebuild an old tranny I'd like to look at the Mazda 5-speed in F150s from the early 90s. Does anyone know of a donor tee-ruk that I can get the transmission and hydraulic clutch assembly? Thank you!
  2. http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/636788-Introductory-Pre-Order-l-RS3-Mesh-Grill-for-8V-A3-S3 I REALLY like the look of that RS3 grille on the sedan. http://i.imgur.com/orFekun.png Do you even lift, bro?
  3. Don't get me started with GA (General Aviation) aircraft... 1975 Mooney M20 that's pretty much the same as a 2005 Mooney. You want a glass instrument panel? Just get Foreflight on an iPad and you're ready to go!
  4. Fantastic photos as usual, Mike. Those bronze wheels really pop. That stance is phenominal.
  5. I'll just leave this here...from a company I've been trying to work with for over a year but GUESS WHAT??? Mary J. Wannah is a "prohibited industry" for many banks! http://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/blog/2015/10/exclusive-ohios-fastest-growing-potpreneur-calls.html?ana=e_du_pub&s=article_du&ed=2015-10-20&u=lcAk5Whw9aw4bexeEj%2BA0Q0342b143&t=1445369160
  6. The problem I have with voting in a monopoly on any industry in 2015 is: 1) there will still be federal issues with the cannabis industry, no matter how many states ratify growth/usage. 2) That "personal plant" language smacks so hard of pandering to a lower-class that I find it insulting. Talk about a bait-and-switch after it generates enough votes to allow the corporations in.
  7. RANT ENGAGED http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/big-liberal-win-in-canada-is-bad-news-for-the-f-35-join-1737515488 So as an aviation aficionado, I am reading this article about the on-going Canadian saga around the F-35 fighter. I already posted the commercials about how much cheaper the revised F-18 "Super Hornet" platform will be...and then the number came out: $110 million per F-35. One Hundred and ten million dollhairs. I'm not saying that's absurd, given the amount of technology in it and the development costs that have to be amortized over the next few dozen aircraft...but let's look around some more... Oh look! Motor Trend Channel on YouTube has Randy Pobst testing the new 2016 CTS-V on "Ignition"! Holy shizz, that's a fast sedan. Amazing car. Makes me proud to own a CTS-V myself. I'm sorry...did that graphic just show $98k as-tested? NINETY-EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS??? Yes, yes...I am keenly aware that it's 640hp, has an amazing chassis and adaptive everything to help it get up the Virginia City Hillclimb faster than every Ferrari in attendance as well as every McLaren save for the $1.3MM P1...so there is definitely some exclusivity that can be charged... I guess I haven't realized how much certain aspects of our world have gone up dramatically in price. It's NOT inflation, because I can throw stats and commentary from people waaaaay smarter than all of us showing the global economy has struggled to maintain healthy growth rates...maybe I'm just getting old. I see a 1995 Dodge Viper with 21k miles for $24k and I think that's a pretty good deal. Others would see it as unsophisticated, old junk...but I'm reminded of all the great car guys I know that keep a British/German car from the '60s as their favorite toy. Is that old car junk? I see car guys in their 30s that long for the days when they riced out a Honda Civic and laugh now at how cheap yet fun it was. I see people that have a rare exotic on Petrolicious that they've kept for years and years, and drive the piss out of them no matter what the cost is. Am I SUPPOSED to behave like new stuff should make me aspirational, and the cost is the cost...no matter how out of whack I feel the world has gotten? I guess I struggle with certain "conventional wisdoms" around grasping the world around me - a world I feel more thrust into regardless of my willingness to accept certain things. I respect the hands-on guys (and a few gals!) of CR as similar family that believe in squeezing value and pleasure out of that which the mainstream casts aside... /RANT
  8. I love this thread and I am envious of that car. Awesome work and thanks for the updates!
  9. No problem, Randall! THanks for the engine stand offer...I just don't need the clutter in my garage. Talk to you soon!
  10. Congrats to your wife! I've done the half and quarter over the last couple of years and realized that's enough for my wife and I.
  11. LOL! That's hilarious. Awesome find! Gonna gank those pics for Facebook/IG...
  12. Very impressive! I've done some healthy jobs and I appreciate modern German cars with an engineered plan to "service position". Cool to see accessories mounted to a relatively easy assembly to remove. Great job!
  13. Great timing of this thread...with the demise of the Viper talked about in 2017, I spent a late night this week spec'ing out my used Viper. Clown shoe or not, I love the "AC Cobra" spirit of the Gen 1 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dodge-Viper-Rt-10-/262093789177?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3d0601d7f9:g:EaoAAOSwA4dWH6Fy&item=262093789177 I have a feeling that a $25k Gen 1 now will be a $35-45k car in 5-7 years, especially if Viper dies in '17...
  14. I read that AutoBlog article today about the V6. Sounds like they are perfecting the generation!
  15. My 4yo boy is on a Razor Bistro. Dumped it one time by brake-locking the rear wheel on some slick asphalt...aside from a skinned knee he's now very aware of his speed and what's going on around him
  16. Monsterscooterparts.com is what I use. RESPEKT, Keith. I'll let the next DIY'er on this board swipe it up. Doods, for a hundred bucks in parts (I got my 36v batteries from Amazon), you'll get a heck of a bike that your 7+ year old will freak over.
  17. Can I grab it from you? I have the same exact bike that I grabbed from a curb earlier this summer (I have a FB pic of my 7yo fixing the chain after it derailed this past week) and while I repowered it with $80 worth of batteries and put new brake pads on it, the one we have is sketchy: the brake cables are frayed and my daughter got dumped already. I'd let my daughter ride the best one, and use the other for parts.
  18. I can has moar bukkets??? http://www.ridiculopathy.com/stock/walrus_bucket.jpg
  19. I don't know but as I stare at the roofline (especially the back glass w/vents) I'd swear there was an air-cooled 911 under all that. If that's the case, then I has a sad.
  20. Guys, I had a BAMS teammate out of Michigan help our territory...we are definitely hiring someone for the State of Ohio ASAP. This is an "outside sales" position where you are based out of your home, but would travel to Bank of America offices/Merrill Lynch offices to meet with brokers, bank partners, and clients to build business. We will definitely feed you referrals and I would help prospect for new business together with you. (full disclosure - you get paid off of fee revenue you book for BAMS, and what you claim goes as a credit towards my fee goals for the year as well. We work together as a team; you sell stuff and get paid, I get a "ghost benefit" to my sales goals as well.) It's a great business-sales gig - we just need someone in Ohio willing to grind out - you get paid mileage! - to meetings and sell some f**king merchant processing. http://careers.peopleclick.com/careerscp/client_boamerchantservices/external/jobDetails.do?functionName=getJobDetail&jobPostId=7048&localeCode=en-us ^^^Sample job description. Please let me know if you're interested. The guy that covers companies in the $500million+ space has been here for 5 years, lives in Dublin, is a solid dude that will help show you the ropes, and has a book of Bank of America company clients that do credit card processing with BAMS and he does juuuuuust fine, brother...
  21. HAIGUYZ. WUTS WITH KALIBER H8? THEY DRIVE LESS-DAN-OK... I'M NOT COMFY... DOESN'T HAVE WHAT I WANT... BUT I GUESS I'D BUY ONE. :fa:
