  1. Last night, I went with a neighbor and our daughters to the Crew/Philadelphia Union game. Not a huge sports guy myself, but Mapfre Stadium is a great venue, and the game was great to watch. The Hudson Street Hooligans are a crazy group of fans too...really high spirits in that stadium and it was a great vibe. http://i.imgur.com/2mm8O9e.jpg As always, the beer is pricey but it's at least Land Grant (1862 Ale is very tasty and not hoppy). If you haven't gone to a Crew game, I went on the worst spring night possible and gave my daugher a vuvuzela...everyone still had a great time. Winning and getting half-off Papa John's today (Code: WIN) helps as well.
  2. I chop my catalytic converters off. eBay/Harbor Freight supplies my tools and parts. I have no front plates. I shrug off window tint laws. Since I can't stop any legislation plans, I'll let the market dictate how I can still own my own fucking car and still work on it.
  3. I've been banging around in my CTS-V since last summer, and i can honestly say after 10k miles that (aside from the obvious "it depends on the car"), 405hp is not enough. It's plenty fast, but either I want a lighter chassis, or more power. I think 556hp from a v2 CTS-V will be just right for a true DD/street/highway cruiser. So...if you're VW/BMW weight (3000-3500lbs), I'd say 400hp is fine.
  4. I bought Optimum No-Rinse formula over the winter and I've enjoyed it for weekly touch-up washes to keep the cars clean. However, if I drive to Cleveland or Cincy - especially in the rain, where I pick up road debris - I also used Gold Class to clean the wheels and paint a little more diligently. For $6, I don't know how you can get any better...
  5. May 1st is a LOOOONG way off for an accurate Ohio weather forecast...
  6. I'll tag it on FB for CC&C

  8. awreet.:thumbup: I love your car. This...I wanted you to know.
  9. Hey, man...you not helping MY cause here.
  10. http://alnabkvb.net/vb/up/7341_01328691457.gif Glad you're repairing it quickly. I really like this wagon. While you're at it, I'd take care of that surface rust on the pinch welds at the bottom...maybe put some POR15 on that as well?
  11. Looking to borrow/rent a chipper/shredder to clean overgrowth around a couple of friends' houses to mulch. Starting here before going to Sunbelt. Thanks!
  12. Uhh...cool as fuck? It would be neat if the transitions were a little more seamless...less "stepped"...
  13. A couple of weekends ago all the high-end metal were doing burn-outs from Byers after the exotic gathering. I casually left in my 4cyl BMW bouncing off the rev limiter in 1st gear doing about 15mph in front of all the Instagram #fanbois in their smartphones. I was told it was the funneh. There is apparently a time and a place to bounce off your rev-limiter. This video shows the opposite.
  14. LOL. Oil pan? Looks more like a BED PAN to me. :gabe:

  16. http://about.bankofamerica.com/assets/pdf/bmh-millennials-report-spring-2015.pdf This is out of the norm for CR, but a co-worker of mine here at Bank of America shared this, and I encourage anyone who is looking to raise a family (their own kids, nieces/nephews, stepkids) to read this. Lotsa graphs/pictures so you can't TL;DR me on this one. A lot of people live paycheck-to-paycheck, but after reading this article, ask yourself what simple changes you can make to better yourself, and positively influence those around you.
  17. I'm pretty sure it's covered... Will let you guys know otherwise.
  18. Gerg, that works. As I just told someone on PM, there will be weekly emails reminding us all of the game time that week; if you can't make it, just let us know ahead of time or better yet try to get a sub.
  19. Please PM me your email addy's if you're interested and I'll have you added to the email roster to be kept in the loop. No one will critique you for drinking in the parking lot beforehand; most of us wait until AFTER the game.
  20. Slow pitch (underhand) Wednesday nights...schedule comes out on 4/24...most games start between 6pm and 9pm... No major skills needed... Pntbll...are you in Colorado Springs???
