  1. Except for the Fram oil filter commercial in the middle of the vid???
  2. POOL IS CLOSED. Pray to your dieties, peeps...see you in 10 minutes... Clay - 3#s ( Jason - 3#s ( Mark - 5#s ( Matt - 10#s ( Kyle - 10#s ( Putty - 3#s Tyler - 4#s Paul - 5#s
  3. Meh...let's win first. My pool, my rules... We will share the jackpot (5 numbers + PowerBall = GRAND PRIZE) and the next step down (5 numbers = $1MM, or $2MM if you bought the Power Play). http://www.ohiolottery.com/Games/DrawGames/Powerball.aspx If you won $1,000, congrats to you...your on your own, outta the pool!
  4. 10:59pm drawing. Putty is in for 3#s. I'm done doing percentage calculations for now.
  5. J, I haven't gotten your text but your fine. I just had my wallet out when I bought my #s after work, figured I could use my DL to quasi-verify they're my numbers. If others are doing it that's just a little more helpful than not. People need to put a pic of THEIR #s in this thread before drawing... Thanks, Kyle! 10 more #s...3.22% per number each of us has... Clay - 3#s (9.68%) Jason - 3#s (9.68%) Mark - 5#s (16.10%) Matt - 10#s (32.20%) Kyle - 10#s (32.20%) Since this is a legal, government-supported PIPE DREAM at best anyway, you guys fantasize about how you'd spend roughly $1MM per percentage point each after taxes. I'll get by just fine with my $9.68 million, thanks!
  6. The way I read that article... 1) Create energy field around spacecraft, freeze-framing space inside of it... 2) Use a stupifying amount of energy to create a "high spot" and "low spot" in the space-time continuum around the bubble... 3) Slap the bitch on the thigh and ride the wave to Alpha Centauri in two weeks flat? EYE LOAF IT
  7. No buy-in minimums. There wasn't a minimum before, and there isn't one now. No worries, Matt...you're the majority shareholder in this little venture at this point! Clay - 3#s (14.28%) Jason - 3#s (14.28%) Mark - 5#s (23,81%) Matt - 10#s(47.61%) *rounded estimates on percentages
  8. I see 11 numbers so far, shared between you, J and myself. 9.0909% share per number. J and myself = 27.272% of the winnings each. Mark = 45.45% of the winnings. We'll see if anyone else joins in. Drawing is at 10:59pm...
  9. Great video. No school like the old school...
  10. http://www.mercedesexpert.com/inventory/view/5986875/2002-Mitsubishi-SHOGUN I love this thing, but I figure this would better compliment Doc's plans of an all-RHD garage.
  11. I didn't even realize this lotto was going on until someone at work came by my office yesterday asking if I wanted to enter a pool. The way I figure: I want the greatest number of chances I can have for my dollar. Ergo, even at a lower payout level, I want to enroll in as many pools as I can have trust in. If my church was doing a lotto pool, I'd be entering tickets in there too. The chances of winning are obviously slim, but just in case...please only use tickets you buy for this pool only. I don't want to fight a legal battle with 100 employees you work with at ABC Company because you double-pooled your $1 ticket!
  12. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102046&highlight=lottery Lotto is up again, over $500MM...drawing is tonight. If anyone wants to enter a pool, buy your tix, copy/paste a shot of your ticket(s) with numbers and post it in this thread. Please see the old thread for the rules. Cutoff will be just before the drawing...I need to get tix mahself after work... I'll print the thread off (so no one can bribe Anthony or a mod to delete any evidence after we win) just before the drawing. If you're screen name and tickets are in this thread, you're part of the pool. winnings are distributed proportionally. Good luck to all of us!
  13. I <3 Flying Buttresses. Have a great time on Cummins' dime, Berto
  14. Just got back from Thanksgiving in Georgia...will be leaving for Pittsburgh in the morning for work. Started the Passat just to warm her up and clear out the baffles. It was a good amount of cold cranking to get it running. Blue smoke some moar! No knocks, just missing on a few cylinders until the oil burns away, then smooth again. I'll try to get it over to a shop here soon...just want a second opinion on this and some other wear items...
  15. My love for Mike Rowe will go on...
  16. After Thanksgiving, I'd like to borrow a metal brake wide enough to do a rollpan for the back of my truck ('82 Ford F100 fleetside). Does anyone have access to a shop with one, that I could borrow/rent for a couple hours some weekend? I'm not looking to make something perfect, but definitely cheaper than fiberglass. I personally like the look of an older, boxy truck without the bumper hanging off the back.. I'll keep the factory step bumper if I ever want to put it back on. Thanks!
  17. Eye Hart Tilley. However, I doubt the Intarbutts is ready for such a strong dose of logic. Given this new analysis, Fainting Chihuahua FTW.
  18. I drove a Buick LaCrosse...terrible car. Transmission is goofy, electronics problems at less than 50k miles. Cordell hasn't been giving the DI 3.6L V6's high marks for what he sees coming in the service bay. HAven't driven the Ford Taurus, but ridden in one and it seems impressive. Is the Pentastar V6 offered in the old body style Chrysler 300? That's actually the way I'd go...I drove a Jeep Wrangler with the 3.8L and then a Wrangler Rubicon with the Pentastar 3.6L and the difference is night and day. Great engine! I could only imagine how crappy the heavy 300C would've been with the 3.5L... If he went newer (2011,2012?), the V6 Chrysler 300s also have the same 8-speed automatic that's in the Audi A8. High marks in anyone's book.
  19. http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2012/11/20/sesame-workshop-elmo-actor-kevin-clash-resigns/ I have a feeling these two won't be the last accusers to come forward...
  20. Obviously. Note the HF engine hoist and WalMart coolant in the background, and the gorgeous 1982 Ford F100 pickup in the van's reflection. ELITE
  21. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=670&pictureid=6740 Here's the damage. Not too deep, but tried to buff it out over lunch today... http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=670&pictureid=6741 COMPOUND, Y U NO POLISH?!?
  22. Brian, good to hear from you! I see your Alfa around UA...actually, the coolant level drops, but I attribute it to a leak in the secondary coolant pump; it leaves a puddle everywhere it goes. I say wispy, but it's definitely an oil cloud, not a heavy, condensed, SeaFoam-style cloud. I'll research on Passatworld.com to see if anyone's done a valve seal job. I replaced the PCV piping a couple of years ago when I did the clutch job, but I'll research if there is a spot introducing oil back into the engine on the regular now. Thanks, CR!
