    "99%"

My wife's Odyssey still has a Mitt sticker. I meant to remove it - literally was thinking about it over the weekend - but haven't peeled it off. Just got a blurry shot from her...someone keyed "99%" into the passenger's side door yesterday. Missed it until just now.:no::no: No need to do a major rant here; I'm sure any of you that had this happen feel the same way. If you haven't, it's a kick in the nuts. Kevin Clifford's gonna be getting a call soon to discuss how best to fix this.
  2. ATQ 2.8L 30V V6. N/A. Also found in the A4, base A6 from the late '90s-2000s. That's what I'm figuring as well, but with a lot of VAG guys on CR I'd like to see if someone chimes in with the same problem...
  3. 2000 Passat GLX V6 - 5-speed manual - just turned over 150k miles For the last few weeks, the cold starting has been worse on my Passat than Cleetus. When it sits overnight, starting it up produces a large cloud of blue, wispy smoke, and there is a miss for a few seconds. When it sits for more than a day during the weekend, it will kick and stall once during starting before firing up. For the first time since we've owned it new over 12 years ago, I need to use the gas pedal to get the revvs up at startup. After 10-15 seconds, it idles smoothly and drives very well. It's got various oil leaks - cam seals, VC gaskets (which I recently replaced) - but this smacks to me of valve seals. I'm just surprised at how badly it's deteriorated over a few weeks.
  4. Fuck it, I'll buy your Range Rover... Do you accept PayPal? :gabe:
  5. I say the same thing about the railroad trestle over Spring St. in the Arena District. Scary, over 100-yr old steel exposed to road salt every winter.
  6. That's a nice SWB Passat you have there!
  7. I would be shocked if a NY car from the '80s didn't have some hidden rust...
  8. This weekend is the last regular event... After this weekend, we will go to once-a-month, with the first one being in December.
  9. http://www.columbuscarsandcoffee.net ONE LAST TIME...we'll go to once-a-month starting in December, after this weekend. TELL YO' FRIENDS! 8am to 12pm - Cup O'Joe, Lennox Town Center

  11. Love these old pics. It really is humbling to see the way people lived 70 years ago... I've never seen pictures like that in COLOR...really adds a dramatic realism to it all.
  12. 1) Sell Camaro 2) Buy C4 LT1-powered Corvette 3) Spend 4x as much on Corvette for same Camaro LT1 replacement parts 4) Reduce effective work area by 50%, increase bloody knuckles 300% 5) REMINISCE ABOUT THE "GOOD OL' DAYZ" WITH YOUR CAMARO.
  13. C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!! Holy shit, Rich...I'm crying at that video. My inner band-geek is :lol:ing right now. Well done!
  14. Yes...this weekend looks good for CC&C. Temp is just barely there, but sunshine always helps. I've got Cleetus totally stripped waiting for paint...I've got hardener/respirator/paintsuit coming via Amazon...will get at it this weekend. HOORAY LATE SEASON TEE-RUK PROJECTS!
  15. It's amazing how much the wheels and seats change the attitude of that truck. Looks great so far, Brent!!!
  16. http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2012/11/12/voice-of-elmo-on-leave-after-denying-relationship-with-teen/?hpt=hp_t3 Whoof...I don't know where to go with this one.

  18. Removed door handles, door locks, bumpers, all grillwork... Finished up taping and papering the windows... Degreased the entire body... Forgot hardener, respirator, and mix bukkets. 4:30pm and the family comes home. I bitch about needing to get supplies to paint, as it's going to rain tomorrow. Wifey suggests moving truck into garage to paint next week... http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=669&pictureid=6726 Cleetus has never had it so good!

  21. 1) Does not suffer fools well. 2) I'm glad I tried it first on my truck, before de-badging my Aventador! Hit me up if you need tips on how to apply and sand it. Vehicle being worked on must not exceed $2500 in value. Even then, I'm not responsible for inevitable damage and poor results. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0kjwkfKNG1qj9e69.gif
  22. Had a crazy fall...Veteran's Day weekend with some smoking awesome November weather? PAINT THE TEE-RUK!!! My first real application of Bondo, after tack-welding the old mirror holes and "F100" emblems in the fenders closed. Primered (not shown) and I'll be taping tonight to hopefully paint tomorrow after church!!! http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=669&pictureid=6716 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=669&pictureid=6715 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=669&pictureid=6714 I did 3 apps of Bondo, making sure to feather in between. Hit them with 80grit discs on a Harbor Freight 6" random-orbit air sander. I didn't smooth out the drivers' door...as was revealed upon 2 coats of primer. FUGG IT...it's Cleetus, not a Ferrari 250!
