The first "Winter Edition" Cars and Coffee event. Normal location and everythang...just not expecting as big of a crowd and winter beaters instead of polished classics...
9am - 12pm - Cup O'Joe, Lennox Town Center
Working downtown, I see that new school they built on Fourth Street just north of I-70...and it's amazingly ridonk.
1) UA has excellent schooling, housed in bldgs from the '60s.
2) C'Bus has crap schooling, in new $$$multi-million bldgs.
3) I get taxed both ways.
4) NO PROFIT.
I just dropped off a bedful of cardboard and Christmas trash at a recycle dumpster, in a C'bus park that had not been plowed. Much of the tire tracks left over the last few days had melted and refreezed, so there was a wide berth of icy goodness.
Rumbled Cleetus over to the patch, start turning gently and BRAAAAAP!!! in 1st gear. Instant 180* turn. I forgot how much fun hooning can be.

Been driving and enjoying my tee-ruk...needs moar low. I've been combing CL/eBay with no luck. If you know of anyone with a pre-90's Ford F150 that may have these lying around, I'd appreciate it.
+1.
If you need to puss out and get an auto, at least go premium. I've always loved Mercedes-Benz but can't stand DD'ing an automatic. The E55 is definitely my first choice for you.
Right...2013 resolution for wifey and I is to set up a proper "media server" in our house for movies, records, etc...with cloud backup!
My FiL cracked the case I believe, but not the hard drive...apparently there are special screws that he would need to drill out??? I'll talk to my wife...
We moved everything we have electronically onto an external 750gb hard drive this year. Just before Christmas, an inadvertent trip over the cable caused it to crash onto the floor (wasn't me). While we were in Philly this week, my FiL - who's into tech stuff as a hobby - tried to restore it. He was unable to get it to power back on.
My wife is pretty upset, as this unit has ALL of our pictures for the last 4+ years, including baby/kid photos. The housing is intact, but the fall fucked it up and I would love someone that's had experiences retrieving data from crashed hard drives to tackle this one. Will pay for the service as well. Thanks, CR...
1) Achieve mod status.
2) Make a sticky, effective retroactively.
3) infract my arse to the nth degree.
Until then, car guy does what car guys do! :fuckyeah:
Those who have attended CC&C.net will see my daughter driving around in a Power Wheels pink Barbie Jeep that Kevin Clifford gave me as a semi-permanent loan.
I do have a son who will be coming-of-age in the spring. If anyone has a boy who is graduating up from a battery-powered PowerWheels - or in Kevin's case where something is sitting unused for years - please let me know. Since Christmas is here, I'm also wanting to see if someone is gettting the new-new for their kid and wants to get rid of the old junker PowerWheels.
DOn't care about condition...I love a fun project! (see below)

Thanks!
Being the compassionate sucker I am, I'll offer an apology in the form of saying that:
1) I was joking
2) I'm a contributing member of 89.7 WOSU
3) I love me some turbo Subie action
Still...

Scott, keep in mind you'll have to deal with Subaru owners: unwashed Obama-supporting alt-life types with NPR travel mugs, shitstains from their pug dogs, and bumperstickers that promote tolerance and love to all on one side, with multiple layers of "Bush is the devil", "Keep your laws off my vageen", and "ENDLESS WAR" stickers on the other.
At least, that's the Forester types...
+1. Saw this last night on Jalop...revolutionary styling for sure, but it'll take some getting used to.
At least they are sticking with the "Centennial" Corvette concept, as featured in "Transformers"...
Very sad to hear.
To your original question...I was just talking to my SiL...her two oldest daughters now have cell phones, and a few of the moms in her social circle are instituting house rules that all phones/iPads/smart devices need to be turned-off and plugged-in downstairs overnight. This is so that the kids actually get some SLEEP, and don't get into the habit of checking websites, chatting with friends/strangers overnight.
I can appreciate that the kids' social circles are hopefully positively affected, that they are still able to keep in touch without being hyper-involved 24/7. As someone who spends too much time on CR after hours myself, I agree 100% with this rule.

Love the design. Very simple and cool. I'd be curious how the structure fares after several years and thousands of miles of bouncing around roads and campgrounds.

Looked good from the front...
Holy hand grenade of Antioch...the side view is B-A-N-A-N-A-S. Who thought those front overhang, long hood, crunched hatchback compartment proportions would work at all?!?
:dumb::dumb:
Does this guy live off of Kenny Rd. near UA? If so, I've seen the car. OSU Boathouse is a neat backdrop...making a mental note to use it anytime I sell a car/truck in the future.
Good car! GLWS to him...
