Derek, I've been driving for over a year on these Sailun Altrezzo's. Even though NTB aligned the Passat, these monsters are crazy out of balance and AR-AR-AR-AR-AR down the road like a laughing pirate. Could a balance at TireDisc fix them? The treadwear on these beasts is phenominal, but I fear the sacrifice for long tread life comes at the insides of these tires being pulverized The low speed ride is terrible...good thing I'm usually above 75mph as much as possible. Your advice is appreaciated...

I was opening the hood of my car, and the edge of the front plate cut my leg, causing serious bleeding and a trip to the hospital where I was treated to a tetanus injection, and kept overnight for spinal meningitis observation. I'm suing the State of Ohio BMV, and Steve Stivers is working on new legislation outlawing all front license plates as hazardous cutting devices of death to owners and passers-by. The coolant leak is likely the crossover pipe that runs between the two head in the back of the engine. I know because my 2.8L Passat has the same problem. 2000 fully loaded Passat GLX V6 and carmax would only give me $1,700 for it. I'vE got 150k miles and thinking about pulling the intake manifold to do the coolant pipe and rear cam seals...clean out the manifold...hopefully fix my WOT hesitation as well!

I was talking to some guys at CC&C, and Tom mentioned the legality of having a rear rollpan on a truck in place of a step bumper. I'm liking the idea of going this route, but I don't obviously like the idea of getting pulled over... Anyone with bodyworked (bumper-eliminated) pickups that have had problems with the cops? I'd still keep a rear plate with LED plate light...
