  1. Wind conditions have improved, balloon is being laid out... LOL. CNN shows the March 15th pic of Felix up in a capsule. Comment section has someone saying "If the jump is cancelled, how are they going to get him down from there?"
  2. Bumpage, or would trade for a Toploader 4-speed. I'm looking for a transmission that bolts up to the inline-6, takes the mechanical clutch linkage, has 4 forward gears, and a slip-yoke rear output.
  3. Apparently the weather is just as unpredictable elsewhere as it is in Ohio... Patiently waiting for awesomeness...
  4. I watched most of it...better than I anticipated. I'd like to see him do engine noises!
  5. Totally awesome. As a former band geek at a much smaller college, I can tell you it's difficult to spell a single word...let alone do that much in one routine. Running horse will never be topped.
  6. B5.5 Passats are OK from a reliability standpoint. Automatic transmission with 115k miles on it makes me a little nervous. MAG means they added at least $1,500 to the price. TDi's rule, but be prepared for expensive parts, if not expensive service for repairs. I'm assuming you do all the work yourself. Any thoughts on a Jetta TDi wagon? Slightly smaller, but you get an even more economical package...
  7. Mike at M&M did a great job with my ford. I know it's no aluminum Bimmer, but he milled the head of my inline-6 just fine. It's the 36/37 exit off of rt23 north...
  8. Probably through the beginning of November. If the weather holds up...40* and sunny in the mornings...
  9. Advance Auto Parts, $6.99. Ended up being a beautiful morning with a lot of great people. Thanks to everyone who showed up!
  10. $20 regular admittance. I think $23 for timed entry, $30 VIP tickets...all available online. http://www.scareatorium.com or http://www.columbushauntedhouse.com For younger kids or peeps not too into it, you can do the flashlight tour, or come on Sunday afternoon for a "lights-on" tour.
  11. Just a few bad apples then; not saying it's everyone there...
  12. Last weekend was great! I'm working again on Saturday and Sunday...hope some of you will come out and check it out! Here's the review from City Blood: http://www.ohioshaunted.com/?v_action=scareatorium2012review If you want to have a great time in an amazing haunted house - but don't want to get pushed and knocked down by drunk meth-heads while some hilljack pushes a chainsaw between your ladyfriend's legs (a'la the haunted hoochie!) - then the Scare-A-Torium is your place!
  13. GOOD TO HEAR You can tell I don't pay much attention to games. From experience, the night games won't pose a problem at all.
  14. LOL. I had a buddy with an '88 911 widebody cabriolet back when we lived in FL. He bought a $50 turndown: replaced the suitcase muff and a tangle of tubes with a 6" slash-cut that exits in the stock location. Greatest $50 ever spent in the history of auto mods. Sounded like sh!t below 2500rpms and loud as hell, but MAN did it scream at the upper end. I've seen FL4T AUT's pipes...why don't you just cut/massage those to make them look better? Especially if you might just swap back to the stock exhaust system. over the next few years only thing you'll be out is worn hardware and a few hours wrenching on a car you'll be wrenching on anyway. Look at Casey's CTS-V...straight pipes 4 lyfe! IMO of course. If you go the custom exhaust route, might as well sell the stock exhaust...
  15. If you go with a glasspack-style (non-baffled straight-flow) muffler, I can't imagine 4 of them will be that much quieter than 2. I think you'll get some decent flak from the Porsche-philes for putting a glasspack on your GT3. Also, you WILL scorch the paint off the muffler body if you engine brake while racing...with no cats, the rich exhaust popping will heat up the pack. You're better off with a higher-quality, stainless/aluminum-bodied muffler. I'm cheap, so the Dynomax, Kooks, or Vibrant appeal more to me for cost, size, and construction.
  16. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1408101/ I won't lie...I loved the last JJ Abrams "Star Trek" movie. Looking forward to seeing this one also.
  17. http://www.columbuscarsandcoffee.net 8am to 12pm - Cup O'Joe, Lennox Town Center - SEE YOU THERE! OSU home game...group will be further back from Cup O'Joe by entrance to AMC Theaters.

    Debate

I wish Romney would keep asking Obama: WHY HAVEN'T YOU DONE ALL OF THESE THINGS ALREADY???
  19. We did, at Bobby Layman. They were a little nervous about us taking a Corvette with less than 70 miles on the odometer up to UA and back to scrape the front bumper. Can't imagine why. We measured the bumper at Bobby Layman. My FIL called me this evening on this one, asking if we could get someone that has one to physically see if it works or not...
  20. LOL...never thought of that, Jonesie... Social responsibility pretty much gets thrown out the window when the price of the car reaches $300k or more. For $845k, I could buy a twin turbo 458 Italia, and still re-forest the entire Amazon. Lifetime of carbon credits, zero fucks given for getting 4MPGs.
  21. Thanks, guys...I'll be in Cleveland for business tomorrow. I was hoping the weekend? Let me know if you're available, Ryan...
  22. My FIL has been looking at 2013 Corvette Grand Sport/427 convertibles to replace his 2002 Corvette Z06. I've gone with him to Bobby Layman, and went on a test drive. His biggest concern is the front air dam: the driveway to his house is somewhat steep, and he's always scraped the garbage out of the front of his past Corvettes if he takes the angle the wrong way. Ryan, Tom, any C6 guys...I would really appreciate it if someone could meet me at his house (we're both in UA, not far away from CC&C at Lennox Town Center) so we can watch the approach angles for a Z06/Grand Sport to see if it clears; apparently, the C6s have a slightly better angle than the C5s. We'll be surrounding the car to make sure no damage is done...just want to see how everything looks when making the approach. Thank you!
