Is there anyone that makes a fake state plate, or a customized vinyl overlay that sticks over a legit Ohio plate? Not that "I'm doing it for the gram" like kids these days are...but I have a couple of ideas that I'm thinking of using over a historical tag that I don't want to commit to long-term.

Does it have an aftermarket intake? Is it running any sort of tune? -
It isn’t. DeWine wanted 18c/gal.

They mentioned the Transportation Bill this morning on NPR, complete with no front plate. I think this has a chance. There's a lot of other items that I'm sure the State government would want to see. https://www.cleveland.com/open/2019/03/ohio-house-passes-transportation-budget-bill-to-increase-gas-taxes-107-cents-a-gal-over-2-years.html I personally don't have a problem with the 10.7cent gas tax: it's a use-tax that will hopefully provide funding to infrastructure improvements. If you can't afford higher gas prices, get a more fuel-efficient car or take the bus/ride-sharing option.

I also have the Portland HF electric power washer and while it's loud, it's very good. Great for cleaning around the house outside when you're not foaming or washing a car. I will admit that I was lazy and left it outside last year (hoses attached) after washing a couple of my cars in the evening, when it dipped right around freezing and it cracked the aluminum pump housing...an expensive McSteak but one I'm happy I made at the $70 level instead of a lot higher. Yes, if you jerk off watching AMMO NYC videos and have a Bob Vila tattoo on your back, then this is not your pressure washer. If you want to simply blast away debris and use a foaming attachment to lather bath before scrubbing your car, you can't get better for cheaper.

Was also thinking this when I mentioned Nissan 370Z https://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-INFINITI-G37-Coupe-2dr-Sport/183403766606?hash=item2ab3b7634e:g:stoAAOSwmThcgTQx I'm also a big fan of the hardtop 'verts...but those are tough to find in a stick. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2009-G37-Sport-2dr-Convertible/254100334083?hash=item3b298f6603:g:rbYAAOSwKOZcUBpq "...Loaded with Options in Almost Immaculate Shape – you Wont be Disappointed with this One PRIOR CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED VEHICLE..." I will be disappointed...WHEN YOU LIST THE FUCKING CAR AS A STICK WHEN IT'S CLEARLY AN AUTOMATIC  https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/765108839/overview/?aff=atempest&CMP=atempest Ahh....that's better...:megusta:

Also, cheap cars FTW. No shame in having a $15k budget and getting into a good car at a lower loan. https://jalopnik.com/new-car-buyers-are-paying-a-record-average-of-551-per-1833124664 Problem is, aside from dealerships that have F&I departments to specifically turn a unit on their lot into a leased/financed vehicle for you, the customer.....you'll need to adhere to most banks capping age to 7-10 years and under 125k miles for financing. Let's just say that your age range is going to be 2009-2013 at the oldest: Nissan 370Z https://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-Nissan-370Z/163578693657?hash=item26160cc819:g:5yIAAOSwKhFcbYhD&frcectupt=true Nissan Frontier/Toyota Tacoma (it bears mentioning that a stick truck can be a very useful yet still engaging DD that could do some tow duty for a fun car) https://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-Frontier-S/173795468686?hash=item287704658e:g:e8wAAOSweedcbzyp Mustang GT https://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-Mustang-GT/382821968532?hash=item5921f7aa94:g:OGQAAOSwKk5cfhhj

Kerry and greg bring up really good points in terms of insurance costs and sales tax on the buy. I will say I was surprised how cheap the Corvette was to insure. I'm changing my stance: just get the C5, or get something more economical with a stick. Mustang V6 doesn't count as you'll be paying a lot more for insurance. Also, I drive a CTS-V because I've got kiddos. If you have no progeny or family transportation restrictions, definitely look at the Corvette instead.

I think all of the above are great options: C5 V8 Mustang FRS/BRZ E55

Knowing youngsters are looking at that white Fox body GT hatch, and saying it's a "classic" or "old-school" car makes me feel old. Thanks for the pictures/content, Brian!

Man, February through today has been a poopy extension of winter. Ready for consistent 50+ degree days ANYTIME NOW... P.O. used a Walker y-pipe to connect factory cats to a straight pipe with a dump in front of the rear drivers' wheel. For 400ci's through no muffler, it was loud but not too bad. May actually keep it str8-p1p3d. What DID suck was the horrible exhaust leak from where the pipe bolted to the catalytic converter flange with no attempt to remove the old gasket. You can see the exhaust leak on the lower left part of the cat flange below that I needed to repair... Oh yes...I guess you can also see the HOLE SAW THEY TOOK TO THE CATS New Fel-Pro gaskets and some RTV and it's surprisingly quiet aside from the 2.25" single outlet. It'll be fine for a cruiser... New white walls, baby! Wal*Mart apparently shipped them from space. Suretrac 235/75s...cheap but with the fattest stripe this side of Coker, or Port-o-walls. I'll show pics of the ancient Michelin's that are on the Lincoln currently when it warms up. They are cracking on the sidewalls...that can't be safe. -
So, I literally just got an invoice from my prop mgr on one of my rental houses where they had a fridge/freezer in the garage: When it's really cold outside, the freezer thermostat can act up causing the compressor to stop. $75 service call later and the tenant learned that nothing is actually wrong with the fridge. It was their fridge in the garage (house fridge is my responsibility). Yeah...they're eating that fee.

If I was on FB, i'd post that all the youngsters don't remember Prodigy ...but I've been on a Chemical Brothers/Crystal Method Radio station kick on Spotify this winter while working around the house and outside, and I relived a few of their songs I loved. Tough news to hear. https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/8555072/prodigy-keith-flint-dead-suicide-firestarter/ It's just sad how many people resort to suicide, but I will continue to say that I don't claim to understand the reasons why. RIP to the man and thanks to the band for helping me jam out over the years...

The best is people-watching at the airport. See these meatheads having to turn sideways to exit the jetway. It’s like a Disney cartoon.

So...I knew there were things like this, but didn't know a brand. I see them now... https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Amplifier-Tsumbay-Motorcycle-Supported/dp/B06Y5R3V7X/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=lepai+mini+amp+car&qid=1551311401&s=electronics&sr=1-3 My problem is that the interface from phone to speaker is a bit of a guessing game. Definitely an option that I'll look into. Thanks! Thanks again!

Free shit...I'm not picky. I think the doors are 5.25" and the rears are 6x9". I did rears in my old '78 and the sound difference was amazing. Thank you, Brian!

Thanks, Rick <3 There's some wiggle room in the dash opening, so I'm flexible. I'll likely have to get a generic install kit to fill the last 1/4" gap with black plastic. Kerry, check the second link I posted. I've definitely noticed the sub-$50 ones on eBay/Amazon. The camera idea is clever, but I'd have more money invested in cleaning up the bodywork and integrating screens for the rear views than just keeping the mirrors...which I don't mind. Thanks for the feedback. I realize sound quality and radio range HAS to suffer at this price point. I wouldn't be too upset as the speakers need upgrading too. THIS would be baller, and period/style correct for the Lincoln! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-panasonic-CQ-tx5500W-made-in-Japan-radio-vacuum-tube-mp3-AUX-In-/333080654263

I posted this thread just before I bought my '79 Lincoln... http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=129298&highlight=head While I do still need to check out what it would cost to repair the original head-unit, I did some measurements and looked on eBay for headunits that would fit a 4"x7" opening. Here's a pic of what my factory deck looks like: http://www.autabuy.com/Photos/2017/06/21/33300145_456676892564232_Orig.jpg Was looking at some other options for cheap...not needing a $400 Pioneer deck... https://www.amazon.com/Receiver-Bluetooth-Capacitive-Touchscreen-Included/dp/B07HHRMNYB/ref=sr_1_17?keywords=7%22+DIN&qid=1551276642&s=gateway&sr=8-17#customerReviews https://www.ebay.com/itm/7-Double-2-Din-Touch-Screen-Car-MP5-MP3-Player-Bluetooth-Stereo-FM-Radio-Camera/292403891130?hash=item4414a14bba:g:3GYAAOSwvjBbIcVg:rk:12:pf:0 Dude, it's crazy how cheap these options have become! I realize they're all China stuff, but all I want is to play Spotify/SiriusXM from my phone through the head unit, listen to NPR on FM. No CDs, no aux inputs, any of that stuff. $80 or less sounds awesome The fact that some of them also come with a backup camera blows my mind as well (not that I need that). Anyone swap something like this into a winter beater/DD? I realize many of us raided Crutchfield catalogs as "kids"...it's amazing how far the technology has come.

Oh man...that is really sad. Very sorry to hear. I know Jason's not been on here in awhile. RIP.
