  1. Man, 4200lbs...I know there's a honkin' blower under the hood, but carbon fiber whaaaa?? I thought my CTS-V was heavy at 3800lbs. Old farts with money are the ones buying this monster. That, and YT/IG "influencers" :barf:
  2. If I’m going to go auto, I’d rather get a Tesla. Or something premium used From M or AMG.
  3. Holy cow...well done making as fast of a recovery from that one as you could!
  4. I will stick with my vote of “Supercar” only in the context of what it was back in 1994 relative to the competition. I DO agree with what’s been said; consider my mind changed. So, would a top-tier Corvette ZR-1 be considered a Supercar? I wouldn’t consider it exotic, but it’s definitely top-10% globally in terms of performance, though still based on a car that you can get for $55k.
  5. IG and FB, but not actively posting. LinkedIn as well. Not on Snapchat or Twitter.
  6. The Supra Turbo is just a damn Toyota. The Corvette Z06 is just a damn Chevy. The M3/M5 is just a damn BMW. The AMG GTR is just a damn Benz. The NSX is just a damn Honda. Give credit where credit is due. CR SHOULD BE BETTER.
  7. Fact is, the "Supercar" nomenclature was more appropriate in 1988-1996 when most cars were coming out of the performance Dark Ages of the 70s/80s.... Nowadays, the Tesla P90D could thump pretty much everything on the street...the Camry V6 makes over 300hp....those are not super cars.
  8. They couldn't do that with the SUV's and economy cars?!?
  9. Understanding the argument you guys were probably having...there is a difference between Supercar and EXOTIC. I would say that The Supra Turbo (and everything else that was in the Top 10% of performance cars for 1994) is a supercar....but it's NOT an exotic like Ferrari's, Lambo's, etc... Supercar = amazing performance in a vehicle designed for it. Exotic = More rare, more expensive. Performance may be in driving, or in quality/craftsmanship, but it's designed to cost more to be more exclusive.
  10. I've used Dr. Terry Irwin at Knightsbridge Internal Medicine for years (behind Microcenter, near Bethel and Olentangy River Road). He's been a great doctor. I look forward to my checkups every 6 months, not afraid to ask him tough questions. The practice was just absorbed into Central Ohio Primary Care, but from what I've seen it means great new (additional) staff, new equipment, and a different online invoicing platform. Service is still good.
  11. Not trying to troll here...but when even Toyota isn't shy about the car being pretty much all BMW powertrain, but with Toyota's engine management tuning, should the purists be super excited about this thing being called "Supra"? Although as I type, you had Subaru help Toyota reintroduce the "AE-86" through co-development of the FRS/BRZ twins. Not a bad thing to make good cars, but I find the nostalgia being drained significantly as platform sharing becomes more of the norm.
  12. Link is dead.... I’m guessing the same could be said for the operator of a cheap lift that fails. :gabe:
  13. Thank you for the context. That's a lot of miles indeed. Can you keep the Tundra, and get a cheaper commuter? Do you have big kids or other family that necessitates the medium-larger sedan?

  15. Looks like it does. (Reese 51156) Thanks for the link. Had talked about a hitch for the Odizzle to the wife in the past. I'll see if she wants me to buy it and get back to you if she's good. Thanks, Carl! GLWS otherwise.
  16. ...and I'm not saying your existing ride is "cheap", whatever it is...but any vehicle you already own and are ahead of from a depreciation standpoint is better than buying new and paying taxes, or buying expensive-used, paying taxes, and paying for scheduled/deferred maintenance. My '01 Silverado 4.3L V6 has a 28-29gal tank, costs less than $50 at $1.90ish/gal for regular unleaded at the last fill up I did. That will last me 2+ weeks, depending on my driving. Around $100/mo? That's as cheap MPG as I can ask for, while still being able to haul and pass on the highway.
  17. Call me when someone made a legit "Super Pursuit Mode" KITT.
  18. Any model # on the hitch? Can't see from pics...wondering if this might fit my 2012 Odyssey (I'm guessing not)
  19. I don’t understand complaining about cost of gas for a cheap truck (when gas is $1.8x/gallon) by buying a $30k new car....
  20. As my friend with a Tacoma mentioned on Sunday...I am one of the go-to dads in UA when people have a car project. I just got a text from a guy rebuilding a Shelby GLH-S, which as we get older looks more and more awesome all the way back to the louvered hatch-cover. Does anyone recommend a rebuilder for the 2.2L's fuel injectors? Car ran, but he's working every system to get it all correct. Is that even a thing anymore, or should I tell him to find someone that has rebuilt ones for sale and mail his in as a core? TIA.
  21. CR delivers again. Thank you for the education!
  22. Curious how long it needs to stay freezing in the soil to kill off some of these buggers as well.
  23. I've been loving the fact that every day it's over 40 degrees is another day winter loses it's grip on Central Ohio. I'm enjoying getting around and enjoying the outdoors without worrying about white death or hypothermia. This is my dream winter scenario for Ohio (thus far)... until... I'm now noticing bugs flying around outside. In January. And I'm realizing, although the cold sucks, we need at least one several-day-long killing freeze to roast the bugs and the eggs they laid if we're going to avoid a crazy spring/summer. I noticed some Japanese beetles and stinkbugs coming out from the house too. Curious if anyone else was thinking about this. There's good evidence that flies/mosquitoes get bad after a mild winter, right? I'm good with honeybees, spiders (when they're outside), butterflies, earthworms....stuff that's beneficial for the environment. But biting bugs/wasps/hornets can DIAF.
  24. What you ARE getting accomplished looks better and better! Keep it up!
