  1. Thank you, Brian! Will hit you up. Thanks, Mitch - despite my cheap assed-ness, I always feed air tool oil in the air line before using it. 13+ years...
  2. I was in my driveway last night with a bud, trying to remove hitch bolts from his Tacoma. As soon as I tried to remove some rusty bolts, I quickly remembered that my 13+ year-old Craftsman impact gun is dunzo, after trying to use it on the halfshafts of my Odyssey just before Thanksgiving: It'll spin when the air is triggered, but the second you put it up to a nut or bolt and put a load on it, it just PFFFFFFFFFFs. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128206&highlight=earthquake&page=3 Looking at this thread...I appreciate all the electric guns guys are using but my 60gal workhorse is still easy to use for compressed air. Is anyone over on the electric side interested in selling me their used air impact tools? I definitely need an impact gun, but interested if people have other air tools they might want to get rid of. Thanks!
  3. I know this topic comes up often... One of our friends at church is in need of a basic car...hundreds of dollars to spend, not thousands. She had a rusty ‘00s Pontiac Grand Prix for the last year or so until it conked out. Anyone with a beater they’re looking to get rid of, she could use an automatic trans vehicle that sits 3 people. Thanks in advance!
  4. Honestly, that's not too bad! I've seen dried up crud/carbon buildup much worse than that...you can still see the cast walls through the oil/fuel deposits. Hopefully comes out with chemicals and pressure-washing. Maybe a parts washer? I'm used to seeing abused junk that doesn't run as well as a Toyota 4-cyl...
  5. I've been wanting to do some early morning fun drives (http://www.windy9.com) on the weekends...
  6. Another option close to downtown is the Hofbrauhaus. They have semi-private rooms upstairs (the biggest is their Stube room). The food is German-heavy, but they serve full bar if bier isn't your thing and the service is really good. We have a March Madness event every year there and people love it.
  7. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-01-03/the-president-owned-the-trump-bump-are-we-in-the-trump-slump Props to DJT for a great run since 2016 in the stock market. Will be interesting to see how he spins the Trump Slump... Wasn't Mexico paying for the wall? Why are we still in gubmint shutdown?
  8. Friend of mine was JUST saying yesterday how his mother was having bunion surgery. Must be the time of year. Good luck!
  9. In planning for 2019, one of the things I want to take my kids to see (and they enthusiastically agreed) is a demolition derby. My 7-yo son loved Cars 3 where they drove in a Figure-8 race. I've always wanted to see one in person. I've seen a few events pop-up from time to time on Facebook...mostly county-fair-type events in neighboring rural areas. From experience, can anyone recommend a great demo derby? Either a series throughout the warm months, or a one-off event? Thanks in advance!
  10. We replaced our entire HVAC system in 2013, and the cost between an 80% efficient unit and a 95% efficient unit was almost $2500. Given the house is well-insulated and we live in Central Ohio where power (Natural Gas, Electric) is relatively cheap, I just went with the 80% unit. Get a Nest, Ecobee, or similar WiFi-enabled thermostat and you'll be efficient enough. Most home- or business-owners will agree that, unfortunately, many heat exchangers and copper piping are supplied from China, and the metal is stretched so thin that they develop pinholes and cracks within 7-10 years. Florida is horrible; with huge demands from the environment (inside the home and outside around the equipment) you'll be lucky if a modern A/C unit installed outside lasts for 7 years. I would say fight as much as you can for warranty coverage, obviously. Then, go for whatever a close-enough friend would recommend. The argument my cheap-butt went with is whatever operation savings the 95% unit would give me over the cost would take the entire life of the unit itself to recoup over the 80%.
  11. Next year will be interesting for sure. 5 false starts against Wash didn’t help. Lord knows we were putting up numbers - defense needs to do a better job.
  12. I know Bob Brooks, co-owner of Copious. Main level is a restaurant, but basement is a cool bar/stage performing area and the second floor is an open event space. http://www.copiouscolumbus.com
  13. That’s awesome. And I have to say, I’m a fan of yellow cars. Love his crew with the minion heads as well...that’s good marketing! Would a 5- or 6-speed manual trans built for that level of speed and abuse still be more durable than an automatic? Or are you still rebuilding synchros and new clutch every race?
  14. Trump lives off of managed perceptions; as long as half of the country thinks he’s “trying”, they’ll give him a pass.
  15. Are use a Mr. tire location on Reed and Henderson by upper Arlington. They charged me $29.99 to mount and balance four snow tires on my Silverado rims.
  16. I’m a big fan of the uniqueness of this build. Thanks for the update!
  17. Merry Christmas...no snow needed!
  18. My eyes are following along the edges...that's a really nice job! Do you have any thoughts/options for a holster?
  19. Thank you, Casey! I’ll reach out to them.
  20. You know I’m a fan! Good luck getting it back up to snuff, Grant!
  21. No, no... you're defending Trump, YOU get to tell me why he made a decision that undermines his defense advisor so much he quit. Clearly a stupid political and strategic move. CHANGE MY MIND, Trumper. *Yawn* Nice "I-know-you-are-but-what-am-I" answer, junior. Where's the winning economy? (Stock market, trade deficit...) Where's the country rallying around him? Where's the international respect? Where's your precious wall? Insults aside, my eyes are open to the world around us everyday, and I want to know how you're measuring his success as the best President ever. To Michael's comment about Ginsburg, having a conservative President making SCOTUS nominations is a good thing.
  22. Wrong. America is the best, and it should always be getting better. I don't need to go anywhere, and you're a close-minded moron for suggesting otherwise. Amazon and Google. You answered my question with a stupid sarcastic comment that wasn't at all funny. You suck. I didn't know that was part of any strategy for success in working with Syria. Given that Mattis quit the day after Trump announced the pull-out (something your mom should've done), I'm going to side with the SECRETARY OF DEFENSE, and not Trump, on whether that was the right move. Looks to me like a bitch move made by a guy who's used to quitting and selling the world on it coming from a place of wisdom. You and Trump share a lot in common, Brandon. Wouldn't even waste the time. If you and I have met in person, you're very forgettable. Your responses show a lack of intellect and understanding. Perspective is reality in this world, and you are lacking. Trump is my President. I voted for the guy, and I hope the country gets better under his term. However, the moves this guy makes wouldn't win in a game of checkers, let alone chess. He was the "anti-Hillary" choice, but it's stunning how low he's gotten. You can disagree, but every possible scoreboard keeping track of this guy shows a loss aside from his popularity with the FoxNews faithful.
  23. Brandon, do you think a government shutdown over partial funding of the wall along Mexico is the right move?
  24. I only take issue with Brandon and Tim because of their stupid-blind support for Trump and his policies...despite the fact that myself and his entire fucking cabinet realize what a terrible job he's doing. Brandon wants to take my China analysis to a personal level? That's his call to dig his own grave.
