I’ve got some rotten 6x6’s surrounding an elevated brick patio that need replacing. I have fallen in love with Menard’s, and I’d like to take advantage of their 11% rebate program to get new timbers.
They had some cheap 6x6 landscaping timbers, but the item had been discontinued. To fit the original size there isn’t any premium to go with recycled plastic timbers. Has anyone used plastic boards larger than a 2”x4”?

Was at Carriage Place...saw it with my daughter. She cried at the end. I was very proud when she bitched about StarLord fucking everything up (in appropriate words of course)
Good movie. No regrets on learning the spoilers ahead of time. That movie combines a lot going on.
The guys I was with were talking about making a “D” with 315 north-south and 270 around the east. Will try that next.
Avoid the 270 west side traffic until they get the lanes redone.
Scott gets it: having the downtown skyline is a really pretty vista.
Did a cruise with a few other guys tonight. It’s not an adrenaline rush but a solid 7-8 on the fun scale. The loop only takes 7 minutes to clear, at normal highway speeds.
Notes:
- Clockwise is better than counter-clockwise (potholes on 70/71N)
- Lots of tunnels/overpasses to pipe your exhaust.
- Construction on 70E is a problem. Not a problem 70W.
- Surprising amount of traffic, and the cars that are out are crazy/drunk.
I watched this video...
...and it made me realize I hardly ever cruise in the evenings in years past. Now that the weather is nice again, I should get out for a short cruise.
I’m going to go out and Time how long it takes to go around downtown Columbus from 315N>670E>71S>70W and back again. I like the idea of a continuous “circuit” where I don’t have to deal with traffic lights, and the downtown skyline will be cool. Plus, it’s not too long...seems like a nice route to go with other cruisers, be able to pipe it a bit under the Cap, 670/71 interchange tunnel, etc...
Anyone have a route they take when they just want to go out for a drive?
Listing for a friend...
“Hey Clay- I've put $9000 into it over the past few years, so that's really all that I am looking for. Whomever buys it will have to deal with floorboards and quarter panels and a new paint job. Then it's pretty much finished. Mileage is 12,000 on the engine and about 180,000 on the vehicle, transmission is new as of January and still under warranty. Here are some pics:
A family thing came up and i have to free up time, so I have to conclude two big projects. Jeep is one of them. People can text Ken at 6143640880 or email me at ken@baldrickgroup.com.
Looking for somebody with carpentry experience that can make a loft bed for my kids bedroom. Ideallywould fit a full-size mattress that we already have. Benefit would be ability to put desk and bed in same floor space. Might be interested in 2 beds.
The prices for store-bought crap, and flatpack IKEA options are a little ridiculous. Pic for reference.
PM me if interested with design, pricing and timeline (no rush). Thanks!

Read this article last night...interesting their take on the "classic" market taking a hit as newer, high-end cars are getting close to fully depreciated. Curious how much deferred maintenance you'll have to deal with to get money out of it.

As an owner of a late-'70s land yacht (and recipient of more ads from friends for land yachts that they find and forward to me ) I can tell you they aren't worth much in the used market. You should at least get a few thousand out of that Range Rover once it's cleaned up and running well!
You know it's a true mirror shine when you have to obscure your own portrait out of the reflection on the paint.
I've got rusty-hat brakes on the CTS-V...need to hit them with some Corroseal!
It's really not a problem if you get a not-too-rusty Range Rover for less than $1000 that runs and drives.
I used to lust after Old Man Emu springs back when I had my Suzuki Samurai. Looking forward to the build pics.

Did the ZR1 just SMOKE a Demon? hype went away a little quicker than it came on.
My neighbor has a Mazda 6 Touring with a stick, and they are the epitome of DD: relatively cheap, stylish, reliable, roomy, and still offered in a stick. Congratulations, Brian and looks awesome as always, Tim!
So, you use the “clay mit” to pull up contaminants with Iron-X as the lubricant? Or some other form of iron remover?
Congrats....but you should’ve gotten a Chrysler 300c. This is a LOT of car for $26k brand new!
