  1. https://www.treadwright.com/ Anyone owned these tires? I wasn't aware of the "remolding" process for commercial/fleet tires...for the price they seem like a great value if they hold up well! It does sway me thinking that these are cheaper yet still made in the USA. Will need snow tires for Cleetus V (245-75-16) next fall......I'm going to stop thinking about that.
  2. I was at the last UFO/MORPCA event at Circleville and I felt it was very reasonable between a lot of track time (50-55 seconds at a time for me) and enough spotters for cone duty. Sorry you feel this way to Aaron or Miller, Scott. I had a blast at CMS back when Jones and Doc were running as well, but Circleville's been short but fun for me in the BMW. Looking forward to another season, when I can make it out.
  3. Love the way that thing looks, from the OWL tires, bronze wheel finish, lift, color....it all works for me. Can you touch up the wheel weights with paint to try and cover them?
  4. COMBO BREAKER with the build threads... https://krisbunda.com/blog/2011/05/21/lawn-care-overseeder-how-to-use-an-over-seeding-machine/ Has anyone overseeded their lawn? It seems like a good way to dethatch, aerate and add seed at the same time. Looking to do this to get some health to my lawn this year.
  5. Those shouldn't need a bunch of torque to back them out.
  6. I think that's a smart way of looking at it. How much cheaper is carpet in the bedrooms compared to hardwood?
  7. Thank you guys! My son has baseball this Saturday from 12p-1:30. I'll see if it makes sense to go early and then leave Circleville for his game, then come back. Do you guys have an end-timeframe for UFO?
  8. SQVATS ON TOES BREAK YOUR BONES
  9. Or...depending on the proximity to the axle/trans, you can rotate the half shaft so the offending tripsquare is facing down, slot it with a cut-off wheel, and use a large flathead or air chisel to rotate it out. Watch the CV boot.
  10. I like the nose of that Danko Charger...wanna see other pics, doe. I had a glimmer of buying a Hemi Charger for $3500 a few years from now and make a fun project car with that front end.
  11. Tim, I saw those on FB. What sealer did you use? I wish I could get my hardwood floors as shiny as yours are!
  12. Yeah...I was late getting it INTO storage...it was sometime in Fecesember. Anywho...another day, another $22/shipped part AAAANND the big reveal of the grille painting with clear parking lights. Looks 10x better..and fall for less than $30!!! I’m loving this truck.
  13. I can't stomach "reality" (read, scripted) car shows. On Motor Trend, I skip rrrrrrright over those other programs. At least with Roadkill, HRG, Dirt Every Day, etc....you're starting with a platform and a goal and neither are really right for each other. Start slapping parts and tools around and see where it goes. THAT'S a show I can get behind.
  14. Done. Nice thought, Brad. I'll mention that I'm finally replacing treated 6"x6" timbers that surround the old brick patio in my backyard. $50 for a 16'-20' length from Menards...gonna bring my Sawzall and trim it at the store before hauling it back home. Damn carpenter ants! Gonna pull up some of the bricks and re-sand the base underneath.
  15. Starting another thread as the other HIT is starting to double-post.
  16. It's the small greenish-blue inverted Triple-square bolts VAG uses to bolt the CV half-shafts to the transmission flange. There's 6 of them on each half-shaft.
  17. Still in storage...should be getting it out this week. Now that Spring decided to get it's fucking act together.
  18. Can you hammer a size-bigger triple square in the bolt to get it free?
  19. Bumper wasn't rusty, or just really rusty...what was amazing was how FAST it rusted out. Just within a couple of months it went from cancerous to gaping holes. Kept an eye on rollpans through eBay and Amazon...ended up getting a Goodmark ProEFX 18ga-steel pan for $65 shipped on eBay. Comes with license plate light and plate hardware! Just a test-fit for now. I've got shit in the back of Cleetus that needs scrapped I mentioned in an earlier thread the SPEAKERS...I must be getting pretty old if 2-channels on a factory '01 GM headunit sounds great through Spotify and a Bluetooth FM modulator Also was looking at grille options, since I HATED the base-model argent/black grille with no brightwork. I've got some wheels/tires to put on that will require a little shine on the front. I liked some of the factory chrome grilles off of Tahoes/Suburbans from the same era, but any junkyards wanted over $100 for good ones. The aftermarket has some chrome options from $80-$200, but shipping either from eBay, RockAuto, or Amazon would've been $30-50....and NONE of them had good reviews in terms of quality of construction (plastic tabs broken off, material is brittle) or the chrome doing well (peeling). Plus, the Chevy Bowtie was corroded under the plastic, and that was a $15-30 fix. Again, just trying to keep it clean and custom...why not just spray it for $4? Nothing really to lose and it'll be OEM quality underneath. Taped off the center bar on the factory grille. Weather was beautiful today! Used a simple shiny-metallic spray paint, and helped the application by heating the can with a heat gun. I also used the heat gun to flash over each coat. The results turned out great for the cost, time, and effort involved! More pics to come...
  20. Damn that was fast!!!
  21. https://www.harborfreight.com/40-in-300-lb-Capacity-Low-Profile-Creeper-63371.html?ccdenc=eyJjb2RlIjoiNjA1Njk4NDEiLCJza3UiOiI2MzM3MSIsImlzIjoiMTkuOTkiLCJwcm9kdWN0X2lk%0D%0AIjoiMTIxMjUifQ%3D%3D%0D%0A This one? It's on sale this weekend for $19.99 Reviews say it's cheap, but...guys, c'mon. It's fucking HF. What were you expecting?
