  1. Surprisingly....not slow. https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/first-drives/a19903865/2019-corvette-zr1-review-first-drive-photos-info/ Color me intadested after reading Matt Farah gooing over this thing.
  2. Dammit, Paul...first the angle is bad and the lighting is shitty...and now the pic has a fuggin' baby stroller in front! :gtfo:
  3. If he did a pattern on a panel that was static, maybe that would be cool. But something that was spinning will look wierd. If you find out how to do woodgrain, there may be a nice side-hustle in restoring 80s fibergladd "wood" trim pieces on Jeep Wagoneers, Chrysler LeBarons, etc...
  4. You...don't waste a lot of time. Looking forward to seeing the completed car! So, it's never this easy but...are a lot of E9x BMW electrical issues tied to an unregistered battery?
  5. https://splinternews.com/everything-melania-trump-has-done-for-the-past-24-hours-1825508399 Gotta say, that Trump-Melania hand hold is the worst thing I've seen in a long time.
  6. Can you add another static camera to catch up close work on the vehicles? Overlay 3-5 second snippets of that wrench action while you’re talking...like if you’re saying how you fixed the brakes, add video of the wheel off and you’re mounting a caliper or something WHILE the dialogue is still going on. Does that make sense? You’re dialogue is good, but you need to do some more cutting to action shots of you (or someone) working. I know it’s easy to use the video to “recap” what you’ve done so far to a project but that’s boring unless you bring the viewer some bits of wrenching.
  7. Focus on selling what you can (Supra, GSXR) and look into an older truck. Keep the RAM until you find a C10 you like. I would still wait on a fun sports car until you’ve had a good summer with working out the house details as well as the C10. Sell the RAM and buy a sports car in the fall.
  8. That's a good deal for Mobil1 Menard's has Shell Rotella T6 for under $20/gal...
  9. Nevermind. Good luck finding a RCSB C10 for cheap money that's not going to need some work. I still think RCSB's are dumb...longbeds ride waay nicer on the highway and haul a lot of shit. You JUST bought a house; you'll want to take advantage of cargo hauling way more than a performance car you admit you'll not be using. Kerry's right: get your priorities straight, bud. Ditch the Supra and bike while the offers/season are condusive for deals. Find an older truck for cheap, fix it up cheap, sell the RAM, get a sporty car that's already fucking running/driving in the fall/winter when people are looking at getting rid of stuff. You should've kept the SL1. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127134&highlight=1987
  10. 1) Read OP's post. 2) Had thoughts, but waited to see others' comments. 3) Stopped here. 4) Agree 100%. You said you don't ride a Gixxer you already own, and you're not fixing a Supra you own...WTF talking about another car you want to buy and then not use???
  11. Having seen the car, Kerry...it's going to look not good unless you do some body/paint cleanup first. Your 328 is not an S13 that's doing a Formula D event and then getting a Build Breakdown on Hoonigan. If you are going to go with this, do black/white something. I'll go with Rick and say the circuit board. ...or the clowns. I do like the Style 162 wheels on that car, though.
  12. I will say that there was a C7 Z06 Targa at CC&C this morning and I drooled a little bit on the lines of that fucker. My FiL has a "regular" 455hp C7 7-speed and coming from owning/driving C4/C5's that C7 is an interstellar spaceship. I can only imagine what the C7 Z06 is capable of......much less the new ZR1 coming out. I don't know about the ZR1, but a lift-roof C7 GrandSport or Z06 is definitely on my "to-own" list a few years down the road, maybe once the kids can drive and have their own cars.
  13. Friended on FB. Will keep in touch on when you're out and about the town!
  14. https://news.avclub.com/r-i-p-austin-powers-star-verne-troyer-1825445397 Man....just this week someone was talking about Verne Troyer. RIP to a unique actor that undoubtedly struggled with self-image problems throughout his life.
  15. Derek, I give my sincerest congratulations for being a great resource over the past but to a wonderful future for you in this endeavor! I will definitely drop your name whenever possible for events. There’s GOTTA be some opportunities with the breweries in town that don’t do food: Land Grant, Seventh Son, Four String, etc... Can you get the meat started with that smoker trailer at home or somewhere, then travel to a job with it reasonably? Or does that jostle the coals and the meat too much?
  16. Even I would say these cars are expensive, but starting with the Model S P100D Ludicrous Mode (as well as many cars going back to the late 90s), I'm realizing that you pay for OEM-levels of engineering going into a product that does 1/4mile rips and DD's a family of 5 safely...how much does it cost to do that? This is not a VetteHack or JP making a Colt trap 160mph...these are full-interior vehicles with a warranty and nationwide network of servicing. There's something to be said for this. Back to the ZR1...the performance numbers will flesh out but it is getting to a point where you need to compete as a manufacturer to remain relevant; that's half the battle (look at Aston Martin). Beyond that, only 10% of the 1% will truly use and enjoy the bleeding edge of the performance envelope these cars offer. To that, the ZR1 looks to deliver. I hope GM trickles down ZR1 tech into lower models down the road.
  17. Uhhh....yeah, yeah. Your "sexy manly forearms". Yeah, whatever you call that thing.
  18. Congratulations, Grant! those floors look awesome. Get a few bukkets of cheap asphalt sealer and a rubber push blade...resurfacing that driveway will do wonders for the appearance for less than $150.
  19. That actually popped up on my feed! You really need a better mic and can you get a longer camera mount so I'm not seeing your forearm the whole time you're talking?
  20. IIRC from my BMW, they are studs, and they will break off. I ended removing them and using new bolts.
