Nassau looks like downtown Akron, but with palm trees. I don’t even get off the ship. Atlantis looks pretty cool, doe...

Newer Lexus IS's have THE TINIEST back seats... I didn't think about the newer, Chattanooga-built Passats. Those are HUGE interiors and have been out for a few years now so should be cheap in the aftermarket.

Plus....didn't you call your wife awful names leading up to a divorce just last year??? If she's suggesting an all-inclusive, don't be a dick...do that and go and have fun! Marriage is about compromise. I don't think you would've mentioned her saying that if in the back of your mind you felt her opinion mattered. Rent a paddleboard and cover a couple of miles! Go fishing, or snorkeling/scuba diving. Mexico is cheap...

Since 2014, I've been on Disney (3 days/4 nights) and Royal Caribbean (7day) cruises - big ships, too! - as well as last fall doing an all-inclusive at a Secrets resort in Riviera Maya outside of Playa Del Carmen. - If you're traveling with kids, do the cruise. - If it's just you and the wife, DO THE SECRETS ALL-INCLUSIVE. Tune on Channel 53 in the room, you can thank me later. Just because the boat is moving doesn't mean there's more to do. You'll be annoyed running into the same loudmouth people and inconsiderate kids. Being at an all-inclusive means you will be served nicely, all the time, and there's things to do over a greater area...let alone some great places to travel depending on where you go. Paging Andy (AudiOn19s)...trust me, dude...All-Inclusives are the way to go. WAAAAAY CHEAPER at Riviera Maya as well.

Very cool to see the inner workings of being a falconer, Ryan!

Unless it's an ATS-V, no one is going to be impressed by an ATS. I do like the Lexus LS460 route, especially since they can be had in AWD. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/733417892/overview/ Lookit that engine bay...NO MAINTENANCE REQUIRED because it's all plastic!

These will definitely be future classics. Unfortunately - like Miata's, E30s/E36s, 944s - those darn kids are going to rip them apart when they are fully depreciated......BUT, after THAT then these will definitely be appreciated for being a more modern Datsun Z-type of driver's car. I will still stand by the pleasure of driving a slow car fast, rather than a fast car slowly. Pushing the gas and grabbing gears at the top of the redline is fun no matter what the speed. Won't win races, though.

I think it's your theater and timeframe choice. If you're going to Easton on a Friday/Saturday night, it's going to be spoiled kids and hoodlums who are socializing on money they don't care about. They'll talk and laugh and text/video if they want. If you go to Studio 35, Grandview Theater, etc...you get the same digital projection and great sound, with a way better atmosphere, beers, and you're helping a local business. BELIEVE ME, my skinflint ways are well-documented on CR; if I can save a buck I will. However, seeing Star Wars, Black Panther in the theater was definitely a treat. I miss Carriage Place on Bethel Rd being a "dollar" theater. There was a good streak where I could watch first-run movies just about a month old for $2.50. #thosewerethedays

My friends' is red. That red on a Model S looks goofy to me, but on the Model 3 it looks much better and very sporty.

I rode in one...friend got one of the first delivered in Columbus. I LOVE the minimalist dash and pano glass roof. It's very airy on the inside, still scoots really well. FiL has a 90D Model S, and a reservation on a 3 for summer delivery, supposedly....I hope Tesla gets around to making enough!

http://i.imgur.com/3rc7z8Gl.jpg Top down! :leghump: Only thing upsetting to me about this weather is that it took so long to get here. I can't help but think that the summer solstice is just a few weeks away...I feel robbed, man. ROBBED. It should've been in the 60s weeks ago.

Thanks for the comments, everyone! I did read a spoiler-infested article because I don't give a sh!t about spoilers when I'm spending $$$ to watch a 2hr40min movie that's got 18 previous movies and 30 characters in it. I NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET IN FOLLOWING ALONG DERP I am worried about my daughter being an emotional wreck at the end of the movie, but it still sounds amazing. I'll see if she wants to watch it, but will take your warnings definitely into consideration.

Has anyone seen it already? As a layman, I really didn't hear as much hype around this one pre-release as I did for anything "Star Wars"-related, but after seeing some posts on the blogs I check in the mornings it seems like this is a heck of a movie that has to definitely be seen in the theaters. My 9yo daughter absolutely loved Black Panther so I'm toying with the idea of bringing her to see it but a little concerned that Thanos is killing everyone in sight. It's funny that "Isle of Dogs" and "Avengers" are both PG-13...you would THINK that Infinity War would be a little more graphic.

Fair enough, gents. I guess as a truck-guy I always see these Fuso/Isuzu box trucks driving around, and I went through the same mindset where I'm SURE something cool could've been done around those things. Douchey owner/builder aside, a cab-over shorty hauler with an LS-swap and huge metal front bumper - let alone bagged on Alcoas - is the manifestation of a daydream I've had for awhile. I also wasn't aware of the Toyota BEAMS engine and had to google that. Pretty cool for a factory N/A 4-cylinder. I do love Hoonigan for the stuff they bring in and showcase - though heavy on drifting...crazy hipsters - so I take some of their guests and antics with a grain of salt as I'm sure they deal with a TON of dipsh!ts.

...is my new favorite thing.

I'm not going to tell you anecdotal evidence to beat your anecdotal evidence...sounds like you're in a shitty corporate position. As I get older, health and happiness are definitely two of the most important things to have in this life; sounds like you're already one foot out the door mentally. I will agree with Marc's comment in that I have 5 rentals (2 being seasonal/vacation homes that I should really just classify as "investment properties" as they are expenses most of the year:lol:) and if I could afford more I would've bought them already. If you want to bankroll other properties you'll want to find a lender that can portfolio your current R/E-based assets (LTV) and leverage that for additional capital to buy/rehab more properties. I know a few UA guys that have become R/E agents within the last 1-2 years...one of them is totally fake-it-til-he-makes-it but his wifey has a solid corporate gig. Good luck. The market is robust but this smells like Florida 2007 all over again to me. Glad you have rentals to fall back on.

This. If you have kids/wife...corporate is a huge help.

What's the truck?

You love the C6Z partially because of the deal you got on it. It's part of the overall feeling with me and my cars; WE'RE THE SAME, YOU AND I. My love for the Corvette is that it's still a looker, performer, handler...yet not exotically-priced. I'd NEVER pay sticker for a 'Vette, but 10-year old ones still offer a ton of car for the dough.
-
That is fucking fantastic. As a convertible fan, I loved the Viper ACR package but has a sad that it was only a couple (for obvious reasons). The fact that every variety of the C7 all the way up to the ZR1 can be had in targa or vert bodystyles is great. Love it!
-
To Kirk and Casey's points...I'm surprised at myself how the ZR1 has reinvigorated my desire for Corvette. I also think a ZR1 starting at $120k is a screaming deal considering the competition....especially now that the Viper is dead. I wouldn't be surprised if these go for over MSRP similar to other exotics like the Ford GT. Any word whether the ZR1 will be offered with a targa top? I've been fantasizing on other "attainable" dream cars down the road - Lotus Evora, Porsche 911 Turbo, Audi R8, etc. - but will definitely keep an eye on C7 Z06/ZR1 used prices in future years.
