  1. I throw no stones, given the glass garage I live in myself.
  2. Damn! Me rikey! WHEEL CLEANER!!!!!!
  3. If Tim and Kerry do a podcast, I'll log in to listen.
  4. Speaking of the Gremmies...I totally forgot that Eagle made a Spirit sedan that used the Gremlin hatchback body.
  5. I would support that... ...but that's also because I'm not a convicted felon with a court-documented history of violent behavior. #NIMBY
  6. Thanks for the feedback and personal input, guys (especially that data, Jesse). I've felt like there is a larger trend partially to blame behind this move but wasn't as aware of the data points. Think about it: why would the self-proclaimed largest provider of automotive video content - king of the world!!! - need to make a content-delivery change unless the channel was costing them too much money, or not helping them generate enough of it? To Pat's point, data is still king...if it's not YT's interface or ubiquity I sense that accurate tracking of revenue dollars to advertisers through another content-provider (like their own website) will be crucial to ensure companies feel like they're getting their value off of supporting the site. It's interesting to see how the IT global giants of the 21st century create their own value...and then risk everything when the service is doubted. (Facebook, Snapchat come to mind over the last couple of weeks. Myspace, Napster...)
  7. OMG... $887???? https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B000ULAP4U
  8. Why did you redo the engine IN the car? Is the clutch/trans good enough? Just surprised if you're unsure of the mechanical history, why not pull the engine to ensure main seals are good, pan gasket, clutch/throwout bearing, etc... Although I'm realizing you've driven it, so maybe you're already more comfy with its mechanical condition behind the engine.
  9. Does this signify other content providers trying to get away from YouTube, or is this a way for them to collect the revenue from "Premium" subscriptions without having to give YT a cut? I'm curious if this is an add-on, or an economic/control move. I do love me some Motor Trend vids...hoping they will stay free for awhile (though I see more and more good content getting behind some sort of paywall). I wish they would just increase subscription fees to include my magazine subscription in with the online content. OR, let me defeat paper magazines altogether if I just want online content...
  10. OMg... I'm in tears I have no idea what the premise for those VR Drunkn Bar Fights are, but it's definitely my new favorite thing on the interballs.
  11. Yay! Glad it was put to good use! I want a ride when the car is done
  12. Re-reading my comment in post #75, I realize I should've typed what we're suggesting...not what your suggesting. This thread started as a reference to UFO sightings, and your comments about bacteria in space is already somewhat of a given to anyone interested in this topic.
  13. Had no idea the popularity of the show. Is that #3 across cable channels in viewership?
  14. We're not talking about the fucking flu.
  15. I hear you. Facebook Market isn't much better...you're selling a 22-yo Camaro...that audience is the stuff of nightmares already. $1,500 still your floor? I have a soft spot (in FL) for dirty-cheap A/C-equipped fun cars. a T-top V6 Camaro that goes 0-55mph on main roads fits the bill just fine...
  16. This thread assumes the premise - validated with discoveries of bacteria, water, or prehistoric evidence of the presence of either - that life does indeed exist beyond our own planet. What your suggesting is the debate about sources of INTELLIGENT life, advanced in technology. Also, anyone reading this thread thus far......if you haven't watched the recent movie "Life", you need to do it. One of the theories I like the most is alien life existing on Earth...but underwater: if an advanced life form survived light years of travel to make it to Earth - think of the physics around that - then why wouldn't you just park your ship in about 2,000ft of ocean depth? Surely if it survived amazing distances/speeds in space it should have the structural integrity to survive a little sea water. Pop out at night, fly around, grab a redneck or two for some probing, drop back underwater during the day. I love space, and our scientific abilities made greater through exploring the cosmos. But the fact that 70% of our planet's surface is covered by water, with depths we cannot fathom (pun intended) and have yet to discover...seems like a fine hiding place. Plus, a great source of oxygen and hydrogen if your life-support or technology requires it.
  17. This guy is selling an aftermarket BMW E36 4-cylinder header that fits my car...but I'm not a fan of the price. But WHO IS BUYING '90s 4-CYL HEADERS THESE DAYS???? I wouldn't say I'm stringing him along, but when he asks me if I'm interested, I remind him of the many other priorities in my life right now. I'll wait until he agrees to drop the price.
  18. BTC was up to $11k, now down to $8,299...
  19. To pile on the massive press the Stinger is getting these days...it's not the performance that surprises me... https://jalopnik.com/the-awd-2018-kia-stinger-gt-will-leave-you-begging-for-1823658684 ...it's that I learned you can get this thing in FUCKING YELLOW. (Yes, I think that's the factory option code for that color ) https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/727532018/overview/
  20. This is a very specific list of good hop-up parts for the 5.0L. How did you get around to this specific combo? Any ideas on expected output? I was looking at 5.0-swapping my E36 BMW but got off of that bandwagon for the time being due to budget and time constraints...but something I'm still considering in the future.
  21. Is there a structured vetting/panel-review process for Presidential cabinet appointees? When Trump muses that there's great energy in the White House and there are thousands of people lining up for positions, why are we more than 1 year into a 4-year term and there are still a lot of spots left open? For the most part, does Trump select his own cabinet members...and thus he just hasn't done so for many of the posts? I'm thinking about the head of the FAA, and Trump suggesting his personal pilot, John Dunkin, possibly filling the role. Is there no one more qualified, or does Donald just not care? https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/trafficandcommuting/as-trump-puts-longtime-personal-pilot-on-shortlist-to-head-faa-agency-faces-biggest-challenges-in-decades/2018/02/27/c1ac0102-1b4d-11e8-b2d9-08e748f892c0_story.html?utm_term=.addbeab0fd36
  22. Sold. Thanks, Scott! Neighbor is happy.
