take the belt off and turn the compressor by hand my guess is that it will feel rough and or be hard to turn if it is the compressor is probably trying to sieze up and making it run poorly

it could also be slightly overfilled and after you drive and it warms up it may backup and run out of the vent a little bit

we just carried regular liability and uninsured motorist insurance on it wasn't new enough to be worth the extra premium cost to have full coverage on a 10 year old van or so I though we are working with our renters insurance to have the stuff that was inside the van covered if they don't find it
