Aside from mass porn. what is your surfing ritual like? I read Slashdot.org, cnn.com, bbc.co.uk, columbusracing.com, flyertalk.com, gmail, oddtodd.com and read things on various interests of mine like solar power. Just curious, what do you read/surf-to regularly?

did you just lay an eye on the fuses or did you check with a meter? some fuses blow close to the contacts and you cannot see it. It should be simple check, then check from the fuse terminal to ground for the lights in question, that will tell you if you are shorting to the chassis.

My dad used to work fishing boats up there, those crab boats work as fishing tenders when crab isn't on. He has worked on the Maverick and the Northwestern as an engineer. Basically you go to the bar in Dutch and hang it out there that you want to work. Your interview is busting your ass during the in-port time and if the captain and crew like you, you get to go to sea. Right now dad is in Hilo, Hi and he went to the docks and asked the boat captains if they needed help and went out for a few days catching Wahoo and Tuna. Normally you have to pay for the experience of deep sea fishing but the boat captains that work commercially always need guys.

One of the things some companies can go for is letting their employee's work from home. No commute means less fuel burned. Plus when you work from home you tend to get more done.

wow, derailed topic I just wondered if people tried to make their footprint less. If you use less energy you are at some level making an impact, or less of an impact. I enjoy things like air, clean water, you know ... creature comforts. I am not a 7th level tree hugger or anything, I just wondered if anyone was making attempts to be more friendly.
