They do make upgraded and shortened struts for this. Don't generalize and say coilovers are better. Matched springs/struts can perform excellent and are fine for 85% of people out there.

Ok, I've been saving for a few months and I want to do something, either mod my current car, or buy a second one. Options I'm seriously considering: Camming my relatively stock GTP, as well as supporting mods. OR Buying some cheap turbo car, I.E. a dsm, old dodge, something similar. Altogether I have about $1000-$1500 I want to spend. I'm worried about daily reliability if I cam my car, as well as my transmission. But then again it'd be nice to have a low 13, high 12 second Grand Prix. Either way I'm probably going to have headaches, as it goes with modding cars. So whaddya think?

The weight difference is slim in the big picture. I believe its about 60-80lbs difference from an H to B series motors. You could just move the battery to the trunk, and remove the AC, which most people do anyways because of size/room, and it negates any difference between the two motor weights. Carry on...

That's just because you picked a Type-R motor for bragging rights. I hardly think a boosted h22 would be anything to be upset over. If anything, freeway rolls would decimate all. Personally I'd go w/ b18a/b and boost it. Leave it non vtec for easier tuning w/ boost.
