No it's nothing like that, we also have the ceramic fiber material (Kawool). This is more like four layers of a tightly woven fire blanket with a rubberized coating. Thanks for the offer though!

Wanted a turbo blanket but I am low on funds after finishing the build. I found this material that we discontinued at work. We used it on the normalizing furnaces which we run over 1700F so I know it will workk. It was A bitch making the template while the turbo was installed. it was even harder to install. I will make a better one over the winter when the turbo is out. This will work for now and the materail seems to work great. The real test will come at the track but right now I brought the cat up to temperature and there was NO heat radiating through the blanket. I need to look up the material specifications. It is a multi layer cloth with a rubber like coating. Jeff busted off a couple of 12.50's the car is bad assed. My car is a turd and couldnt even trap 120mph, 118 with a best 119mph. I was only running 13 to 14 psi of boost. must have been the D/A

This is a funny thread. Larry, I remember that day at Norwalk well. My obsession has really gotten bad this year. After yelling at a parts vendor for incorrectly shipping my part last night, I actualy did not go into the shop. I dont remember the last time a whole day went by that I didnt do some work on the car. When my wife and I do go somewhere I get up early or stay up late to "do work" It's nothing for me to work 30 hours in a weekend on the car and 2-5 hrs a day after work. When it gets to the point that I realize I need help it's really bad. Well got to go, I need to order more parts, then I will think about actually doing some company work at work.

What type of car? 06 honda civic What mods? synthetic oil, K&N oil filter. Nitrogen in the tires. Whats the car going to be built or is used for? going to and from work. What are your goals with the car? I want to get some rims with better tires and a small turbo for it.
